Wow I feel like I'm watching a documentary from History Channel or National Geographic or something lol. Love this video, it's put together in such a professional and digestible fashion that even those unfamiliar with the game could understand it. Thanks for keeping the hype alive till this game comes out man 👊👊👊
the damage logic was scattered around. i had to shoot multiple 9mm bullets to Clicker's head compared to 2 arrows into any of the clicker's body parts. weird, indeed
@@kevinmulia6503 But logic, a bullet is more likely to shatter at the contact of the flesh or the fungus, but an arrow has more penetration and solidity since its fixed on a stick.
My god this channel is criminally underrated. I may can't spend any money on your content. But know that I push that like button with the greatest gratitude!
So considering that the infected take months to years to progress through the stages but are still using a living human body to spread the infection, they would surely have to eat and drink right? Do you think that's the case or is the infection keeping them alive somehow? Just a thought I had watching this. Great video as always though buddy, well done! :)
@@bigounce5892 Yes, but the infected need to survive in order for them to be alive and a threat to other people. Don't worry folks, even if the fungus was to evolve to infect humans, the infected person would die quickly, either due to the stress of having such a fungus grow inside the body or due to inadequate nutrition which will happen.
Right, but our bodies don’t function without nutrition and water. Cells break down, muscles and circulatory system fails. These things would be mobile for 72 hours tops before being a writhing mess on the floor.
Wow I've already played and beat this game 13 times and somehow u still managed to make this video entertaining and informative as hell! Great job dude!!!
Kinda blurred the line between real and imaginary for a second there mate! Great content. I’ve subscribed and liked the video and I’ll recommend this channel to my friends too. Stay classy.
Im happy the second the last of us is coming, but I just love how “zombie” movies/games etc start. How everything gets destroyed and people are running around..
Hi PatientWolf!! I want to tell you a few things... First of all, Thank You for the constancy, commitment and passion that you put in your videos! I love the way you speak, your humility and your ideas!! I really appreciate all your work, for me you are one of the best channels I ever seen, both as a person and as content creator. I wanted to tell you these things because I don't feel "enough" for all what you do for us (besides the fact that everything I said are things I really think and appreciate). So, I conclude saying Thank You one last time, keep your amazing work up my friend! Greetings from Italy (sorry for eventual mistakes)
I wonder, what do they look like in between stages? Like the change between a clicker and a bloater is really dramatic, what would they look like in between (talking about tlou1)
Both my parents are in the medical field so I always get interested when I hear the word Virus like the Motaba Virus and what not and know of the vector communicable diseases uses like STDs, bodily fluids spores, drinking/eating infected tissue and this is coming from a 15 year old kid with a dad as a Paramedic and mom as a Nurse. Yeah I'm not your average joe
There are already fungal infections that appear on the outside of the body. I feel like this infection if it happened in really life would be internalz
Nice but you got one think wrong unlike the IRL cordyceps, tlous CBI seems to be more symbiotic than parasitic, ie the host isnt killed off purposely. Runners and clickers are known to hunt other animals for food. The hosts dies either by natural caused or human interaction and then the fungus sprouts outwards through the entire body. But nice vid anyways
I was a fan of Last of Us, but just now (2022) playing Part 2 and I'm reminded wh it is probably my favorite "zombie" scenario. This was a great documentary and I enjoyed it immensely. 👍
Awww no Rat King that is one infected that deserves being talked about we will probably never see again considered how it came about but the story of how it happened is definitely interesting
I can't honestly see how the fireflies would have managed to create a vaccine with the extremely limited resources at their disposal, seriously can you? We don't have a Sars 2 cov 19 vaccine yet and there's a world full of labs and doctors and many asymptomatic patients walking around. I think it would be a shot in the dark to sacrifice Ellie.
Pretty much. And even if they where able to make a vaccine, there's no way that they would just give it out to anyone and "save humanity" as some people claim.
@@baneofbanes Good point, Marlene charges a high price. Imagine how dark the alt ending of Part 1 could be ; a defeated and forlorn Joel is ushered from St Mary's to wander in despair while Marlene and the Fireflies struggle to develop their vaccine, eventually becoming the most powerful group of survivors wielding their cure over the rest of humanity.
@bryan diaz varela tbh china doesnt even really have to make it, if some how the cordyceps fungus moves on to humans then yeah we fucked, china could do this however tho
If the rat king was formed over 25 years, what was the source of nutrition? Shouldn't all the individuals joined be bloaters considering the time? Howcome the fungus didn't kill them in that time period? NB. Maybe time is just one factor in the progression of the stages.
You have such good quality videos. A youtuber named Fizhy also makes youtubevideos similar to yours in a way, in my opinion. I reaaaally enjoy the way you two make your videos, love’em! Hope you never stop!
What Ive always been confused about is the clickers. If they use “echo location” theyd be able to find you regardless if you make noise or not. Their “clicking” or echo location would bounce of objects that are stationary (not moving) and would still be able to find you
It works like this, they click around, and if something moves then they know its alive, and possibly edible, they attack,if your not moving then you just seem like another object to them
@@templarnewsnetwork3326 That i get, but when your playing you can still move around/crawl and it doesn’t activate their attack mode. So movement isnt the key factor its sound....A bat uses echo location at night and in the dark. Same as a dolphin. Regardless if an animal is moving the echo location maps out the shape in their brain.
@@brandonmitchell9032 well for one clickers are usually not moving (you can find them standing still) and when you see them do that charge up type click, perhaps that is them mapping what you look like, hence why they "see" you if your in front of them at that point
@@templarnewsnetwork3326 ??? Clickers 100% move, your sounding like you’ve never played the game.....you can look up youtube video game play of clickers moving in the distance when your not even close to them. Again them mapping you out is you saying that they can see using echo locations without eyes. So again echo location allows animals with terrible or no eyesight to see. If your saying that they’re echo location ONLY works if an object is moving....then how do they not run into walls? Jump over objects? Not crash into objects? .......I understand this is fiction and its a game. But echo location is real and based off of nature regardless of movement or not they should be able to “see” you regardless of movement
@@brandonmitchell9032 Sorry if I made myself unclear (btw i played the game, both parts) Also the thing about not crashing into objects is they probably can still feel where their going as for echolocation i give up trying to figure out an explanation

fungi doesnt require glucose and water to work they are saprotrophic organisms means they feed on the infected
@@bigounce5892 Yes, but the infected need to survive in order for them to be alive and a threat to other people.
