I'd be happy to answer any questions I can. DM me on the lathe trolls. But yeah Mike's sapphires are really good. Tungsten aren't bad but you'll get better cuts with the sapphires for sure. And since you're still embossing you don't need to worry about the swarf yet. Hit the polycarbonate with some lighter fluid, wipe it off, heat the blank, and when it gets hot start embossing.
