Wherever I say this Uruguay play really well between 2 goals in 1st half between no shot on target on 2nd half they defend as a team. Canada play really tremendous between the stats they play like pressing, shots and perfect target. They probably be ready until the world cup they play like teamwork! So, good work by Canada and give credit to Uruguay as a tip of the hat!
Uruguay played good, but Canada fought their asses off
Ryan you have taken over the mantle of Canada’s best supporter, i used to be since 1971 !
Means a lot to hear that!
**Uruguay doesn't need to "park the bus" against Canada, they were just playing with the foot off the pedal, avoiding injuries (like Araujo on previous match) and trying subs to complete the list. Uruguay defensive style of play was a reputation created during the late '90's (the darkest years of Uruguayan football) due to the lack of good midfielders during that decade. After Francescoli (the last #10 of the '90's) until Forlan (2010) with the exception of Recoba in the middle Uruguay suffer from this. Still don't have a #10 (which can be De Arrascaeta) but at least they now have great talent on the midfield with Valverde (Real Madrid), Betancur (Tottenham) and Vecino (Lazio). The defensive line during this game was improvised with Varela (Flamengo), M. Caceres (L.A. Galaxy), S. Caceres (America) , Olivera (Napoli), when the real defensive line should be Araujo (Barcelona) - Coates (Sporting) - Gimenez (Atletico) - Olivera (Napoli) but they were out due injuries. Just to put on the table this reality too, Canada is a good team, but Uruguay after the goals was relaxed.**
Point is, is Uruguay was still a very tough defensive team, and Canada was stymied by their clogging up passing lanes, shooting lanes and clogging up midfield. Uruguay is very talented, and I’m sure they can use this gameplan to even better success with their best 11 in the World Cup, hope Canada and Uruguay meet again
They did alright, but it was clear that Uruguay is on another level.
Still, it wasn't all bad and plenty of positives.
The absense of Atiba, Osorio and starting Buchanan though is obvious.
Canada needs Atiba, Oso and Tajon very much
Uruguay has always played the parking the bus tactic is their style, they have been doing that for decades is a very effective style for them plus they also have great strikers, they had Diego Forlan in the past and now they have another one in Darwin Nuñez, also their defensive game is really well executed, it´s very difficult to score goals against them, a good way to do so is to try to move the ball fast with great accuracy in order to find opportunities of passes between the lines, if a team play against them by using a slow rhythm is an easy match for them . I think this friendly match is a good experience for your team, cause Uruguay is a World Cup level opponent, so is better to have this kind of matches against difficult opponents so your team can correct mistakes.
Agreed
I’ve been watching all the Croatia games in Nations league. When things don’t go well they change there game plan and it always works . They finished first in a group with France, Denmark and Austria ! A lot of coaches like Bobby Bacala keep doing the same stupidity that doesn’t work !
Croatia’s strength is being a very fluid team
@@RyanAnderson27 good point
Davies need to stay wide. Noticed he has a hard time finding the easier pass in the middle. Laryea needs Tajon in front of him for the overlap. Clean up the final 3rd and I think they could surprise.
I think Davies should stay as a wing back, with Buchanan as a forward and Lareya on the other side of Davies… I’m not sure if Larin should be the third forward or if Adekugbe should be… Larin didn’t look good today… but yes, if they use that blueprint I just mentioned, Canada will do damn good at the World Cup
What u think about marocco vs chille can u make a review about that 💪🏼 succes in the wk
I didn’t see the Morocco-Chile match, so I can’t review it, but good luck to y’all in the World Cup as well
This video, in particular, the comment about Canada being the better team, brings back memories of Greg Berhalter declaring the US had a dominant performance in their 2-0 loss to Canada.
Here's the thing son, nobody cares how cute we played it's the scoreline that wins games! But I'm happy you got a rise out of Uruguay giving us possession after they were up 2-0.
Thanks for the good laugh though.
Canada will definitely learn from this lost. Yall will do good at the World Cup.
I believe so
Damn that hurts also would hurts me as Saudi Arabia and USA draw not only this is bad for us but it's back for Mexico yeah there screwed in the ass
Mexico is finished
Canada in there reality. Told you they can't compete with these teams. Canada is only good in concacaf but i still hope they prove me wrong in the wc for the sake of concacaf
I think they will prove you wrong.
@@RyanAnderson27 Yup they will.
Uruguay is more predictable and has a more stable eleven ! Canada have the best 2 players though in Davies and David ! The most important ant thing in an exhibition match is who took more from the game to learn, that should be Canada !
@@riobabic8960 Canada definitely learned a lot from today, for sure
Not a surprise Uruguay are the better team
Talent wise, slightly
@@RyanAnderson27 who you support in wc other than Canada?
@@SteveLFCThisisAnfield12345 Japan. And I wanna see the rest of CONCACAF do well
@@RyanAnderson27 States are bad and this is the weakest ever Mexican team ! Canada has a much tougher group with Belgium and Croatia ! Teams like Germany and England are only names of the past and without proven coaches ! Croatia and Belgium would destroy England now and I’m saying this as being English on my mother’s side , St Albans Hertfordshire !
@@RyanAnderson27 Slightly? You must be kidding!
Even though Canada lost, they still did an excellent job! This is a great learning experience for them and they will do amazing in the World Cup without a doubt! Also, what do you think about the fact that USMNT just tied to Saudi Arabia 0-0?
USMNT shot themselves in the foot with their line up choices… and they just ain’t good
@@RyanAnderson27 Also, I am so f*ck*ng p*ss*d at Tata Ballschoker at him right now! I just found out that he decided to skip practice with Mexico the day before Mexico vs Peru just so he can watch the Argentina vs Honduras game!!!!! If he did that to analyze Argentina, then I understand why he did that, but he still should have not canceled practice! Instead, he and the team should have watched the game at practice together so that they can all see how Argentina plays! He still should have not skipped practice because he should be focusing on improving the team before the World Cup! This just shows how much he really cares about Mexico!!!!! 😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬
