    Hey Pete, the way the other guys do it from out means they pull the trigger and turn it in till it puts tension on the trigger so to them that's all the way out then they turn it in the turns they want. 😃

    Hi Pete, what a fantastic little gun and the size of that fan would put some full size guns to shame👏 it put the basecoat on really nice it was quick but also looked controlled and the same with the clear it looked like it was hosing it on but again it looked controlled, the finish was simply superb mate, well done👌
    I always set my gun up by turns in mate if you do it right then it's no different to turns out, simply put the adjustment knob on loosely then pull the trigger so you are at full fluid then tighten the knob until it stops you are then set to full fluid, then you turn in x amount.
    When people ask about your fluid settings they only really apply to the gun you are using as most of them are different. some guns are 2 turns out for full fluid and some are four or more so you can only use other peoples settings if you are using the same gun as them, that's how I see it anyway🤔🤷‍♂I'm probably totally wrong😂😂
    Anyway loved the video mate, you did an amazing job with the Finer Force👌🙏👍

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  Před rokem

      Hi John, yes, its a lovely little gun, i was really sceptical when i first saw it was a 2.0, the Kiwami1for waterbourn which i also have is 1.8 and i thought that was pushing it but they have got this just right, an absolute pleasure, shame they have gone up in price compared to the other 3 versions they have.
      Absolutely agree, guns like the DV1 only have around 1 3/4 turns of movement from no fluid to full, I'm going from memory here but that's a particularly short range.
      That's why i often say, and did in this video the total amount of fluid adjustment available.
      I do get your way of doing it, it seams like a lot of faffing around to get the same result, i didn't realise people actually do it another way toe as it's how i have always measured it if needed for future reference or now for CZcams.
      There's no right or wrong way really, i just find it easier, if i want to know how much adjustment there is, i wind it all the way in, pull the trigger and wait for the movement of the needle to finish, it's not something i need to know often but on something I like to tell people.
      Noticed your officially John Bushmaster now and not just a number 😁, thanks mate 👍

      @JohnWD40TC02 Před rokem

      Yeah I forgot to mention in my comment about the size of the tip, using a 2.0 for base and especially clear is unheard of but Meiji has made it just right, I assume it's mainly down to the design of the caps plus the holes in the tip also plays a part but either way I was really impressed with it👌
      As you say mate there is no right or wrong way to setup your fluid adjustment, out from closed or in from fully open it's all the same really, I just find it easier to turn it in from open🤷‍♂😂
      Yeah I changed my name on here so my huge fanbase would know who I am across all my massive social media accounts, all three of them😁🤣😎 thanks for a great video mate, oh I have a new one up if you can call another flowcoat new😬😆

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  Před 5 měsíci

      Hi Mate, it really depends on what you're doing, the material you're using and the conditions (temperature, etc) that you're subjected to and the painters' requirements as far as speed is concerned.
      As and all round clear gun, but slower the type R is good, as is the B for a faster painter, the WB is more suited to a fast painter using high solid clears in warm conditions, that would be my choice in those conditions.
      My Top 12 video, which I think you've seen as you have commented on it, is a good general summary of my feelings still today, so I would choose the DV1s, overpriced and slow but very very good or the W300WB which is also excellent although it may well be over your 8cfm limit.

You can swivel the cup when spraying flat panels, and when you are running low of paint in the cup you can swivel the cup, instead of sucking air instead of paint. OK Pete that is an absolute banging base finish-looked these up, but found with meije-1.6 recommended for clear and 1.3/1.4 recommended for pearl/metallic-so why 2.0? Paintingtoolsjapan didn't even show 2.0 that I saw. The proof is definitely in the pudding-that finish is extraordinary. Wonder what 1.6 for clear would look like? You are like the neighborhood drug dealer for spray gun addicts...my wife may put a contract out on you lol. All jokes aside I may be looking at my next brand for a solvent base gun.

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  Před rokem

      Hi Scott, oh dear, not another wife after me, I'll really have to keep a look out for the unexpected 😉 , the 2.0 is kind of a new idea, Iwata have done a similar thing with there Kiwami1 for waterbourn paints which is 1.8, i have that as well and they do work well although i think the Meiji is better.
      They are sold under the marketing idea that waterbourn paints are generally more dense than solvent which is certainly true for the one's i use so i guess they have a point.
      I'm not sure the concept would work for a full size gun but I'm going to try the Kiwami4 in 1.8 to see if it can work, we will see 👍

    • @scottherr642
      @scottherr642 Před rokem

      Hard to wrap your head around base (water or solvent) being successfully sprayed out of 2.0mm fluid tip...seeing is believing however. I mean I spray high build poly primer from a sata 100 b P 2.5. The Meiji has to have some preatomization gimmick to make this happen. Be interested to see the kiwami 1 -1.8 spray base. The concept of choking a big fluid tip down is not unfamiliar to me, but for me it has never really worked well. Looking at your fan it seems the gun has pure fog coming out. My Sagola 4600, and ws400(at 38psi) are the only guns I've got that do that. Pete the pied piper of spray painting just What will he do next...lol

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  Před rokem

      The cap is different to the rest in the range, there is also a different in the air holes in the tip so there's quite a lot of thought gone into the final product, maybe that's why they made it more expensive than the others in the series but it certainly works 👍

      Hi James, this is a midi gun so between full size and a mini, it's capable of doing most things but you would want something bigger if you were doing 3 or more panels, simply because it would be faster
