All that’s really needed is cold air intake, j pipe and k tune. Great video though, I like the progression, it helps to see each stage.
Thanks. If I had the 6 speed I would have a ktuner. Don't really see a huge need for it in the auto plus I have 232k on it.
@@snoman6322 yah that mileage is a little high. But hey at least with a k tuner if you stick with Honda for your next car, you’ll have it again to use. The tuning really unleashes the best possible outcome/performance for any Honda.
@@neondiamondsaquaberry17 I didn't realize you could use the same ktuner box on a different model/gen Accord. You see any tunes out there that can still use regular/87 octane? I like not having to pay for premium fuel.
@@snoman6322 I haven’t found any of those tunes.
What could I do for the 2011 accord lxs 2.4 which Ktuner works for it ? I am new to the game so not sure what it exactly does.
nice ride my man
I put the same engine and transmission in B17 Nissan Sentra/Sylphy to get rid of the CVT. I never regret a thing about it. haha
Thanks! Sorry missed this comment somehow. CVTs are garbage IMO. They ruin the fun of hearing different engine RPMs.
Looks like the J-pipe made the most noticeable improvement, same with my 2004 V6 Accord.
J pipe was a good mod! that made the noticeably peppy difference. definitely noticed more power with that.
@@snoman6322 even my son noticed and since it doesn't make your car any louder, it isn't like your ears are fooling your butt dyno.
Dude I want to get a 9th Gen Accord, and make it sound like yours, but this pandemic is stopping me from living my dreams man!!
I wanted the 2017 v6 manual. The last of its kind. Some day you will get your dreams!
Get it when you get the chance! Just grabbed a 2013 6-6 coupe from a dealership nearby, so much fun to drive man
I'm trying to get a gray EXL or touring, V6, This cars are not easy to find.
@@SenorMrZonE if I'm not mistaking, I believe the 9th gen v6 motors have a louder vtec transition sound than the 8th gen. They sound crazy good.
@@snoman6322 yeah it's a big difference when the VTEC hits for sure, loving it so far. Gonna get a CAI I think to see how it sounds
I have a blue 8th gen accord 4cyl manual and I have a lot of plans for that car 😁😁
I have one to ! But what mod can I do to it in order to increase the cars HP
@@jesseelizondo2035 cold air intake could be your first low budget DIY mod. After that u could change the fuel system, and turbo it. Just don’t go overboard with the turbo on the stock motor
@@jesseelizondo2035 rv6 downpipe, test pipe or high flow cat, ktuner, ported intake runners, and custom exhaust
@@nasseranise102 bro how to put turbo in honda accord 2.4l Manual 8th generation model
@@samlifestyle31 its a big project, one that tbh you shouldn’t do yourself unless you’re pretty experienced. Depending on the size and power of the turbo you will need to upgrade certain engine components that would crack under the added pressure and compression.
I suggest getting a vc muzzler, gets rid of the stupid eco mode that burns up all your oil
I actually ended up getting a VCM Tuner 2 which removes does the same thing as vc muzzler. Works great! No more jerks or extra vibrations. Much peppier and smoother at highway speeds.
I have 2008 honda accord ex coupe 2.4l V-tech. I alreafy added a KNN cold air intake and battery regulator and Nitro OBD2 chip. What other budget mod should I do to increase the HP???
How’s the intake and regulator treating you so far? I have the same model
I love the Honda j series engines
Hi mate I have same car v6 3.5 luxury model but my car is more fast and nice sound how u do that did u make hole on pipe ?
how is your car faster
I got a 2009 accord 2.4L. Are all the clips progress clips after install the mod titled one ontop of the other? Of just each mod individually?
Also which is ur favorite mod and it was order wud u recommend to get em
One on top of the other. So each mod includes the previous. Best inexpensive mod, intake. Best sound mod, exhaust cutoff. Best mod where you really notice more gains. Rv6(adds some nice rasp). The order of the video is the order I got the mods.
@@snoman6322 is ur accord a v6 or v4? Because i only have 1 exhaust lol (and its a sedan). Also wat ur car look like
@@Shahboyy v6. Probably have around 295hp after mods. I have the gray sedan.
@@snoman6322 my car wudnt be 295 hp tho cause its a 4 cylinder
I love everything you did here, except, the automatic transmission.
100% agree. I wanted the 6 speed. But I couldn't pass up the offer on this vehicle especially since it was owned in my family previously.
snoman63 I have the 6 speed, lots of fun to drive but honestly I don’t think other people on the road either know or care that it’s a standard, to them I just look like someone driving like maniac in a “Dad” car, auto accords are still nice but I would of spend money on rims, suspension and mods to make it stylish instead of trying to make it faster
@@25Newengland I like the sleepers. I like the look of stock but sounds mean and is quicker than the others out there. That's my taste!
Automatic or not lol still a great car
I have an 09 coupe V6. I replaced the exhaust with a magnaflow system and I get bank lean codes and O2 codes. I have replaced the O2 sensors (all four). It stalls hard when I floor it and on cold mornings shudders and dies when I cold start it. Any suggestions?
Not sure to be honest. I hope you don't floor it before engine gets to operating temp? I had an issue similar turns out it was my intake filter fell off the tube getting too much air. The rubber part tore off. After I got a new filter that solved my problem.
Sounds like you have a clog in the piping/muffler like a clot weld in the pipe. You will need to remove to clear it out.
Lean = too much air. The magnaflow flows too much for the ECU to compensate. You either need to get the car tuned or put the stock cats back on to restrict some of the airflow
@@JesseTheG_ Hey thanks for responding. I wondered about that. I will definitely check that out. Thank you for the input.
Wait if I install a magnaflow exhaust system I have to get tuned?
Man, how do u roll race? U lower the gears or what u do? Cause that things has some wheel spin lol
Actually don't do much racing with this as it's my daily driver. Now have over 211,000 on this baby. If I were to roll race I would probably start in 2 and slam through the gears. Wish I had a manual or at least paddles.
@@snoman6322 I have the same exact question did u always have the wheel spin or i u got that after doing upgrades? Email me if anything dresrizzy@gmail
@@snoman6322 dresrizzy@gmail.com
Same question Bud
@@drerussian6740 when I added more mods it became more peppy and easier to spin the tires. The intake, and rv6 jpipe.is where I noticed throttle response is much better.
My boi got an exhaust leak
Just a little one :)
It’s prolly a dumb question but does your car backfire/crackle pop?
Not a dumb question at all. Yes it does. But not as good with a true exhaust system.
@@snoman6322 can you get a true exhaust system for this car
@@xseroxarrow4471 I could. But not worth the money considering age and milage I have on this car
How’s thr 5at gearbox holding up? Any issues with it?
Im selling my civic Type r and need a daily so i was looking at one these. Had a cl9 euro (tsx in usa) and the auto 5 speed was terrible
Holding up very strong! Even after all the hard driving I do. No slipping, shifts as smooth as when it was new.
snoman63 thats good to know man. How’s the reliability? Some people on CZcams seem to have issues with this car
@@k24nz25 in the early days of this vehicle there was a massive issue with oil consumption. It was fixed and replaced by Honda, but I've still noticed it. So to fix that issue I just change my oil at 5000 instead of the Honda recommend 8000 or something like that. Other than that I have not really noticed any issues whatsoever. I love this car, just wish I had the 6 speed instead. I would consider it a sleeper car. It's pretty quick and peppy
snoman63 what year the issue was fixed? I had 2010 V6 camry before and now im looking to try something different
snoman63 also how’s the paddle shifters?
Could you link the cold start ?
Not sure what you mean. Cold start just means starting the car when its cold (not at operating temperature)
Hey would you be able to link some of the parts here?
It's all in description already
What altitude are you at?
850 ft or so above. Why?
snoman63 I live at mile high above sea level, your car is pretty quick man. I have been looking to make some tunes to my 2011 EXL V6 coupe. Is this the 4 door or 2?
@@calebfabozzi I've got the 4 door. So she's not light. And I also have a subwoofer in the back too. (Not the stock one but a 12")
snoman63 same haha, imagine having one gutted
Haha “heavy” I have a 4500 pound Pilot with the same engine. Get a throttle response controller, made a huge difference
I have the same car but i got check engine light after 1 run with the SRI :(
did you read the code it threw?
@@snoman63-hh1ow p0172 & p0175... And yes, the fuel economy is lower
@@snoman63-hh1ow bro, do you know what can i do?
Did you Google the codes? This shows your car is too rich. Did you plug in the map sensor into the Intake?
@@snoman6322 map correctly plugged in, no leaks, K&N filter
What’s the remote starter called and where can i get it
I know the brand is python. I bought it off eBay a while ago. Installed it myself.
snoman63 whats needed to install ?
@@TechCash14 Lots of wire diagram reading, basic knowledge of crimping wires. and the big deal was a device called XBALL to copy the key security chip to allow the system to start.
How did you get the red light to follow the tachometers
That was built in to the cluster from Honda. It's standard across all 8th gens. It looks neat at night!
@@snoman6322 word?? dont think mine has that feature
@@justeeezz3631 you can only see it at night. It could be a V6 thing only maybe? Do you have the coupe?
Mine does that too lol.
@@snoman6322 I think it’s just the reflection of the red needle on the silver circle
How much time It takes to go from 0 to 60?
Haven't tested it. Probably low 6. Not sure if I could push under 6 or not.
@@snoman6322 i was watching the speedo you were around 5-6 after mods.
i plan on doing these mods or most of em. nice car my man!!
@@chewurpill not too bad for an auto accord with no cpu tunes.
@@snoman6322 Yeah that's what I was wondering. You didn't put in rtuner on this so I bet you if you did that would add at least another second off mayby two? 😍😍😍 That's exactly what I plan on doing with mine. Engine mods+ exhaust + rtuner And that's about as far as I'm going to go with making it faster
You should never put a short ram intake on these cars. You suck in so much hot air from the engine you're actually not really gaining any performance. A legit cold air intake that runs from your intake to behind your front bumper is your best bet since it actually sucks in the cold moving air coming in from under your car when you're moving. Wrap your intake pipe with exhaust wrap and keep the cold air cold. Colder air more dense meaning you can cram more in your combustion chambers proving mow powa baba!
Lmao actually you do I have a accord v6 and I gain 13 hp with a short ram intake lol
Now just needs pcds
PCDs or HFPC? Don't want it too raspy.
@@snoman6322 I’m running a full straight on my 9th gen, no cat no muffler no resonator and tbh it’s really not that bad. But I love the rasp so what can I say. Pcds will make more power than a hfpc
@@SnackyPaper you have auto or 6speed?
@@snoman6322 6 speed auto with paddle shifters, thought I had too manny manual cars (also own a 07 civic si) So I went for the auto
Bet you lost power with that intake...
Probably. But it sounds so good
Honda Better Camry low
Not bad but my stock gmc 6.2 still faster😂😂😂
Different classes of vehicles :)
Not even close a stock accord would murder a sorry as gmc
