The fact that your a good producer and teacher makes you Good! But the fact that your doing this for the Lord Jesus Christ makes you GREAT! God bless you and keep up the great work.
@Gabriel Fróes thanks man, I've been very blessed by The Lord to have the ideas to put out such videos! Thanks again for your kind comment man, I appreciate it.
Yes because I always thought that transitions were like a premade sound effect audio clip or something. And I really never messed around with the effects that you were doing on the white noise part.
Hi Gratuitous, u have bless my heart to learn u live for Jesus, good for u! Nothing is greater. keep sharing the good new of Jesus in your songs. I totally enjoyed your video, it truly helped me. I'm new at this and I'm so happy I found you, and it was just by chance, thank God for that. I would love to put music to the songs I wrote. Can't afford a studio. Could u show though, in what order u place your instruments and vocals (which track goes first). God bless u. Thanks so much for this!
Sub channels just help you in your mixing to move 1 slider instead of let's say.. 5 sliders. It makes it just easier in your mixing process. Plus, sometimes you can add some compression on the sub channel instead adding a compressor on each one. Kind of like those sends I showed you.. similar but still a bit different. What you'd want to do for this is automation. Keep it loud in the verse, but automate it to make it quieter in the chorus. Let me know if that helps!
Haha sorry, gotta be careful with my "man" ;). -- My intros are always different, sometimes hit it hard with the chorus, sometimes a slow bring in. Sometimes keep the clap in there. Every beat is different! I tried to show some transitions and SFX you can use for your transitions in the video! Again, every beat is different, and there are tons of approaches you can take, it's just a matter of "what sounds good to you!".
You have a great video thank you for posting it I have one quick question. How do you get your composition into that area where you can slide all the different sections of sounds into that one format. I usually just use piano roll and such but I am curious to how you got that area where you are using the slide notes . The area where you group all the music up.
@kidunique10 Ya white noise is absolutely amazing. Arranging a beat is a whole nother talent aside from actually makin the beat!! Ask away with any questions!!
@JunoTheProducer Thanks Juno! Try making some of your kicks on 1/3 and 1/6 beats to get that off beat but on beat feeling. If not, I can put a quick video together!
hey tanx for all your videos, very informative. pls i saw couple of organic drum kits on your step sequencer for tis tutorial, am wondering which of the kits contain those cos am interested in buying it.
@artims3 Ya when the time is right, I'll try to put together something cool! I am pretty much done my new CD, so when I am making my new CD, I can probably put something helpful out for you guys.
Haha, those are things you have to figure out yourself! ;) -- no one can give you that answer! But sure man! If it flows with the song, then it's your choice!
Good tut mang. Sub. But hopefully since this vid you have worked on maintaining where your face is pointing vs. the microphone. You have a few places where you look right at the mic and your voice spikes. :3 Just positive reinforcement :)
Tanek Hey thanks for the feedback on the videos. Much appreciated! - The second clap is just a technique that I like to do. Layering just in general is very powerful, as it allows a sound to be fuller throughout your mix!
INS = Instrument Properties. Sorry I'm just happy to be able to tell YOU something for a twist :D (It's on the top left when you hold your cursor over it) It'd be awesome to be able to work you in the same room, man. No homo hahaha. ...unless you're cool with it. Wait what?
tnx menh i bought that, but sorry i will bother you again...lol do you have organic VSTs or are they all gonna be released the same time with that of drum kits
Hey I was wondering do you think it would add more interest to a beat if you changed the type of transitioning element at some point in the song? ex. such as using white noise and a cymbal together when going from chorus to verse but when going to verse to chorus using white noise and some other type of effect?
sorry yo for askin so much questions.. you got any tips for transitions. such ideas for intro and what to do between the verse and chorus or bridge. you know what i mean? any help would be appreciated...
I would also like to know when having all these instruments I know things tend to get crowded and some things to be practically non-existent but still there as a foundation such as bass for the synth. I would like to bring out this background bass without creating an entire channel just to mix it so it is louder in the verse but quieter in the chorus. would sub mixing help? I just tried it and it didn't help much unless im using it wrong.
;) cool man. I appreciate you checking it out and sharing your thoughts on it all! -- Been through a dark valley at a young age, turned to Jesus, He really opened my eyes, and has really given me a new life man. For your Axiom, check out my axiom set up video. (Go to my channel, go search, type in axiom) -- you should find it. Also, you can just go F10, click on your Axiom, then choose MIDI Controller -- choose the Oxygen!!
+D Williams (tv) Common is 16 bar verses, 8 bar hooks. 1 bar = 4 beats. So in 16 bars there's 64 beats, and in one 8 bar hook there's 32 beats. (That's common though, I usually arrange what I feel suites the song!)
how do you know where the verse and the hook is. if u cud explain that thad be great... I was trying to look for it where the snare roll was im like ok maybe that's the hook and the beginning of the verse cuz the transitions looked four or 8 bars away from eachother but I cudnt get the count right cuz I cudnt tell the count by how it was structured if that makes sense
+D Williams (tv) Maybe the instruments in the song are hard to hear the difference from the chorus to the verse.. when vocals are added, that gives you a lot better insight for sure!
yo bruh i like never ask any tutorial dudes questions but you really were a great teacher & made this super easy to understand. i was wondering if you could do a tutorial on how to drastically change a beat but still somehow making it fit within the music. youtube(.) c o m / watch?v=NfYifJfBOGo this is an example (play at 1:30 if you're not tryna hear the whole thing). i'm already thankful for the info from this vid but i'd greatly appreciate it if you took time to make another lol.
wow so bless to have you response,i did pray and fast for this to happen,it still a dream You are one of my hero someone i look upto can we have a skype chat please

I was always trying to get that rising sound, man I really appreciate you on this video.
Myrone Davis Hey no worries!
love this video and I enjoyed the transitions in your song.
Hey no problem man! -- Glad it helped!!
Thanks man, arrangement is a huge topic! -- Hopefully opened your eyes to some little tricks and tips ;)
Yes because I always thought that transitions were like a premade sound effect audio clip or something. And I really never messed around with the effects that you were doing on the white noise part.

Good tut mang. Sub. But hopefully since this vid you have worked on maintaining where your face is pointing vs. the microphone. You have a few places where you look right at the mic and your voice spikes. :3 Just positive reinforcement :)
What I learned from this video was, definitely make sure you use a second clap :P
Tanek Hey thanks for the feedback on the videos. Much appreciated! - The second clap is just a technique that I like to do. Layering just in general is very powerful, as it allows a sound to be fuller throughout your mix!

whats your bar count for the verses... and how can you tell? look like u used some 12's or 6's or am I counting wrong?
+D Williams (tv) Common is 16 bar verses, 8 bar hooks. 1 bar = 4 beats. So in 16 bars there's 64 beats, and in one 8 bar hook there's 32 beats. (That's common though, I usually arrange what I feel suites the song!)
