The depth of Herald's skillset makes it hard to justify playing vindicator or renegade for me personally. Love the vid :)

That's because a-net wants every profession to have it's easy to learn, hard to fail e-spec.
And for rev that certainly was neither core nor herald. So the complexity was given up for raw power and simplicity with renegade.
Vindicator on the other hand has depth, but it's executed very poorly, killing it.
It was given tools to be a dynamic dps healer with fine grained control over switching between dps and healing modes, so it's damage and healing potential can be adjusted and maximized on the fly, according to situation in combat, rather than being in constant cycles of being stuck in one mode for minimum 10s after a legend swap.
Unfortunately hybrids such as these need free stats to operate and vindi was given none, thus murdering the whole concept in the crib..
Engi A.E.D. also works, not sure about willbender Reversal of Fortune but it is similar to herald heal so should work too
For the premeta, instead of jade wp, you can use Prototype Position Rewinder at Northern Beacon, griffon to Peitha to get the beacon flame, and use Rewinder again to tp you back to Northern Beacon, you won't lose the buff "Beacon Light Energy" that holds the ember and since the cd on rewinder is only 30 seconds you can do it consistently

Word of warning - A.E.D and its friends (like tempest's Rebound) will only protect from one fatal hit. If you run into something that hits fatally with a multihit you'll still get a bad case of a gray screen..
@@mrbuster3106 Yeah thats the case of Prototype XJ-1 in gang war meta where the shock wave hits multiple times instead of one sometimes.
For the personal wp, you can use it once on two people, you and your turtle's passenger.

Don't have a position rewinder for the flame carrying event I see.
I just learnt about that trick actually! keen to give it a go next time
if this is viable then mesmer's distortion also should be viable. I wonder It can be blocked.
I have also wondered this, usually distort works on pretty much everything heralds heal skill works on. Let me know if you find out!

In that case a warrior with defiant stance will thrive here since it pretty much does the same, but has 4s duration and can be extended to 5.
Warriors are gonna eat good here.
I'm not very familiar with warrior myself, they have a damage to heals ability as well do they?
@@iEatyouLOL Yeah, except the "as well" part goes to Herald. Warriors were first to have it (Defiant Stance) then Herald got it's version of it with Lingering Light. I wonder if warrior's strike damage immunity (Endure Pain) also works vs this....

@@Sarcaustik revenant runes, it doesnt hit very hard but it makes the most out of celestial stats and is super flexible and tanky so it's great for staying alive and just tagging mobs in meta events or being able to solo champs n stuff with all its survivability
