The first one is an E-Raz impact grenade. They don't have any timer, they only explode when they make a hard impact and are great for CQB and building structures.
Tossing it onto a concrete floor is adequate impact. If it needs more then it's just badly designed. I'm not an air softer but even I know that would NEVER go off in an outdoor field. And throwing it as hard as you can against a tree doesn't count.

You gotta fill the green gas grenade with gas first.. The load it up. when it hits the ground it's supposed to rotate in a 360° while firing off airsoft ammo
I got a 24 pack of those, they're called the EG67 and are made by a company called Enola Gaye. They're by far the best disposable grenade on the market, and seem to have the best and furthest frag pattern of all the grenades I've seen. But at $12 a pop they sure as hell ain't cheap. And maybe I shouldn't mention this but they can also be made into real flashbang grenades by removing the clay pellets inside and replacing them with 5 grams of flash powder😉.

The first one needs to be thrown much harder to open the valve so it can release the gas. Or you can try to throw it higher up in the air and let gravity do the rest. I've two myself and they work best indoors
