I feel like, in the end, she did love Damon but the doppelganger curse made her love Stefan more. Nice video!
I don't believe that she loved Stefan. I think she loved Damon more since there was free will in that relationship. The writers wrote themselves into a corner in the 2nd season.
I wonder how Elena managed to play around the curse and fell out of love with Stefan and fell in love with Damon. Was it because Damon was persistent and stubborn to stop trying? Yeah idk, I need answers.
you don't abandon the one you love for 145 years she DEFFO cared for him but she never loved him also the dopelgänger curse isn't a curse it's a spell that binds two dopelgänger 's together to fall in love but not forced

I am trying to find words right now to encompass the emotions I feel right now and I am failing. You have put almost every Datherine arc and reasons as to why they are such a beautiful and epic couple and put it all into this one perfect video. How. Just... Just how. I am in awe. No couple can ever be as tragic and as volatile and as beautiful as this couple. Datherine will always be each other's true love.

Katherine and Damon WERE IT. Let me tell you. They had fire and chemistry and perfection. Damon and Elena were the Dollar Tree version of Datherine. Honestly. Elena/Stefan. Katherine/Damon.

Damon and Elena had more chemistry than Damon and Katherine. Katherine broke him, Elena fixed him. Simple as that.

I wish Damon would have asked her why she chose Stefan exactly and they could've had an honest conversation and let go of this grudge. It's been over 145 years. They could've been lovers to enemies to frenemies. Especially after they tried to give her and Stefan that arc. It wasn't executed well because they ended up killing her anyway. She's not to blame for everything bad that happened to Damon and Stefan.
She chose herself.
Honestly, if I were as loyal as that, waiting for over a century, actively working on “saving” a woman who got me in that situation (since she turned them to be together forever, and enhanced their feelings through their transformation), and then realized none of it mattered, I’d probably be way too pissed to have a polite, honest conversation.

@Youraverageredhead That’s true. Because Damon chose to hide Katherine’s secret, he could’ve easily switched sides since he wasn’t under compulsion. Stefan wouldn’t have been able to at the time because he needed to be compelled to not be afraid of Katherine
Unpopular opinion, they could’ve been the best couple in all TVD universe, they gave ancient vibes, you that period romance vibes and they would’ve been such a powerful duo

Ugh after all this time i still come back to this beautiful video of our lovely but tragic datherine!!! Damon loved Katherine so much a kind of love any woman would kill for. But the heartbreaking thing about it is that Katherine loved Stefan way more than she could ever love damon. I felt so awful for him when he got in the tomb and she wasn't even in there. He loved her his entire vampire existence and his whole human existence. So i can definitely understand his hatred for her once he found out she didnt give a damn about him and that It was always Stefan! Even for Elena in the beginning... she always loved Stefan. But at least Elena did care for damon and ended up falling in love with him. Someone finally wanted him and finally loved him. That's really sweet if you think about it...
damon was the love of elenas life so was she for him! after all the hurt and pain Katherine put him through he finally found true love from another doppelganger that looked exactly like Katherine which is why i think he loved Elena so much partly because she looked like the woman he loved since forever. This doppelganger just happened to love him back! ❤

I love your videos but in my opinion Katherine never loved Damon. She didn't even say goodbye to Damon when he died as a human to save her life in 1864. She said goodbye to Stefan but not to Damon. That sad. But video is perfect.

She saved his life at the end of season 2 and on the Homecoming episode where Klaus had a contingency plan to take Damon down with him if the crew tried to kill him. She pushed Stefan to save him, which also ended up saving his humanity.

She makes him feel alive and be a better person for himself Katherine never did that she made him as toxic and the worst version of himself as possible.
