in the video the " fire Opal " is actually fire agate- carnelian mixes, the opal in the area is common opal and also occurs here in this heavily metamorphic zone where it all gets jumbled together, and my brain leaned more to opal than agate as these feel so much like a plastic opal feel, but looking at the crystals mixed in I feel it is probably a carnelian mix, with common opal is the same mix, the reds and fires so rich ! thats what the hills above the creek are is huge ancient hydrothermal vents just eroding their secrets away.

The finds you come by is absolutely wonderful. Another Blast From the Past
Thanks for telling us what kind of rock we're looking at and letting us get a good look at them.

You are not alone

I’m with you on the rock obsession 👍👍👍🤓🤓
Wow me too i love all rocks
Haha when I was little kid i would pick up rocks tht just looked cool to me not educated about them or nothing but if it looked like something or was shiny u could gurantee itd be in my pocket and on the way home with me. Now I'm 22 and I'm getting really interested again (don't know what stopped it). Every single one is different in it's own way and that's what I love
Good collection....
Its wonderful to hear someone so passionate about our earths natural gems stones & crystals. America is so lucky to have these creek beds & stoney areas which yield up such treasures. I saw th heart shaped stone near th obsidian too! Im very lucky as well as i live a mile away from th North East coast in England, near a very old port area called Blyth in Northumberland. I found a place i call Pebble beach & its a tiny cove strewn wth th ballast dropped fr boats/ships just prior to turning into th port. Because vessels come fr evry port on earth, th ballast can be amazing. My beach cove has given me quartz, jasper amythist obsidian opal beryl marble flurites agates labradorite muscovite rhodolite garnets & much more. Many iv not identified, also fossils & bits of carved stone like petroglyphs. I hav a huge collection now after decades of hunting. Iv now got tools for opening up stones & revealing fabulous geodes. Its a BRILLIANT hobby 💖💎
Lovely white agate 😘
Beautiful chalcedony clear white💚
I like the colorful stones like Jasper the best. They all have their own beauty.
Loved the agate with white bands super beautiful ❤️❤️
That red and yellow remind me of the Mookaite Jasper. Beautiful.
I like the way you think-- and your approach to your hunt.

Still my favorite! Love, that jasper core, it is breathtaking. Let's go back to that creek.
It looks like cave painting on that jasper core.....

Thanks for letting us come along on your wondetful adventure. Your enthusium and fun for what you are doing is so much fun for me..
Last two years I started collecting and learning about rocks. It's very interesting.
Used to live in Folsom CA and spent many hours all over the foothills from Jackson to Lake & Sonoma counties. It's really fun to see my old stomping grounds represented! Cool!!!
That Jasper Mother Stone was such an amazing find. I find jasper here in so cal but never anything so beautiful. Thanks for sharing. :)
Fun treasures, beautiful jasper ....thanks
Thank You !
Feaking awesome finds. Good eyes, my man.
You got my blood going !!!! My Grandfather introduced me to rock hunting (& I am 68), especially agates. Thanks for the video that allowed me to get out and see some great rocks !
I went on my first rockhounding adventure with 2 of my sons and 1 of my grandsons here in Wyoming today. Found some interesting colors and shapes. A few of my picks have the little caves with crystals in them. Now I need to get them identified. It's fun watching your videos. I especially like the way you get excited about some of your finds. Thank you.
These tipes of stones, with cristals in them are "geodes". They are very beautiful and often precious, too. There are a lot of kinds of geodes: usually, if not always,it deals with quartz, like agate, a particular type of quartz, often half-precious that you often find in these rocks. I've a lot of geodes at home, five of them with agate cristals inside, overall red agate, but also blue and black agate, and the others(four) with white quartz cristals inside.
Awe man. I’m jealous . I never find rocks that cool. And i’m a rock nut.
Your video really makes me what to get out of the house and look for rocks. I could just look in my gravel driveway today until I find a spot.
thanks sir for this imformation......
I like the fact that you have the quest and an inquiring mind. I also share the same disease as yourself, its called petrology. (the study of rocks in all their many variations.) Obsidian is peculiar to former volcanic upsurges of rapidly cooling fluids exuded from within the underground.
WOW! You found some beautiful rocks wish I was with you.
love this video!
Thank you for sharing. I'm jealous.
The long one you thought was a picture frame,,,, I think it looks like a three piece mirror that would have been on a lady’s dressing table awesome
You rock!
Your video work is great. Everything’s in fine detail and I’m enjoying a nice look at your treasures. You have a very relaxing commentary style as well. Thanks for sharing!
wow hope Im there lot of precious stones...
Great video, the piece of Jasper made it worth a watch. fantastic.
that jasper rock was awesome
Quest, Thanks for such Beautiful footage of the stones. The colors you describe are duplicated on my monitor pretty much exactly. I appreciate the way you hold the stones in each position, long enough for us to focus on them, even without stopping the vid. : )
