To change direction in a fendt you push your joystick to the left no matter if your going forward or backward.
I like the blackout package on the tracks.
I cant believe you can drive in the water and actually pull dirt. Those track machines are amazing.
You know all the work this guy is doing one day his kids will hopefully benefit from and in his case will Be able to go back and actually watch these vids
Mike, a muddy tractor is better than a muddy Mike from having to walk out. Stay safe!
You had me on the edge of my seat the whole video! Was worried you were going to get stuck and have a long walk home! Thanks for the videos Mike :)
An excavator with a grading bucket and a laser transit would be the cats meow in this situation.
I also thought that perhaps Mike should have had a little better grade control before he started but that just the engineer in me.
You should be able to get a Rtk kit for that v ditcher that would do a better job and be faster than a excavator with a laser and he could use most of his existing equipment lowering the cost
Ok Mike come on buddy get that beast stuck for us and show us a good heavy recovery video I know it takes up some time but it's great entertainment to watch and people love that shit.
Your containment wings were down on the end so you werenât letting the mud roll away you were pulling it with youâŠ
Hey Mike
Just wanna let you know that you donât actually trigger back and forth all the time when you wanna chance directions
You can just trigger the joystick to the let quickly an the fendt will change its direction no matter wether youâre going forwards or backward
Love your videos and greetings from Germany
I guess you mean "to the left" =)
If ya look at what this guy does, efficiency isn't really a thing while playing out in the sandpit. Lol
Selbe wollt ich auch schreibenđ
LOL playing in the mud is fun until you have to wash the equipment đđ
Mike you remind me of fy father who farmed in Southern Manitoba. He would be working the fields and making/cleaning ditches util the ground froze or there was too much snow. He worked in construction before so he had his own scraper and grader to get it down. Perfection is where he stopped at too.
hsllo i'm from germany and i like your videos. I just wanted to tell you that you can retrofit a forward and reverse switch on the steering wheel of the Fendt caterpillar.
Dead end grease fittingsâŠLMAOâŠ. you just canât make it up might can you⊠iâve been greasing equipment for 45 years now and I never even thought that was possible till I saw this videoâŠ.
You have a total 10 year surface drainage project. T ultimately get it the way you want it. If you own this parcel can you tile drain the sloughs. for $2.00 a foot it is one and done.
That was stressful, and it wasnât me getting stuck! đđđđ
The next video is even more stressful! đ€Šđ»ââïž
@@mikemitchell2554 Does that mean hip wadders are a required pc of footwear
đ€Łđ
That tractor impresses me going thru that slop.
We find a small 3 pt rotary ditcher hooked to front wheel assist tractor works wonderfull for joining sloughs. Once dried out big pull grader is cats meow
Mike your two track looks like itâs done a bit of work for a change đ€Łđ€Ł great video đđđđ
What a muddy mess.
Your Family have a wonderful
Great video Mike
Mike, Its an 1167 Not a paddle steamer! Although by the looks of it... those tracks were doing alot of paddling.
Magnifique vidéo et le fent 1167 le matériel et bien intéressante
had a great laugh Mike hearing about your grease bank tribulations!
Here in North Dakota, USA, âconsolidationâ of sloughs would be a major, major no-no. Unless you go through a ton of paperwork with various government agencies to âmitigateâ the wetland elsewhere. Meaning you have to create a new wetland in an approved location, acre for acre, with legal stuff attached to land title. Major headache. Now if you doing âmaintenanceâ to clean existing drains, then it would be ok if you can prove the drain depth to the fussy government authorities.
Saskatchewan does have some regulations as well, it has been so many years since I looked into it that I'm not even going to quote anything.
good to hear
That is some serious playing in the mud đźđand I think Mike is having fun I think đ€
Time for a back hoe on low ground pressure tracks ,it's not the time of year for land work ,should be servicing the planters and combines for next season
I donât know if you know, but if you move the driving handle to the left it will change the direction !!
đ That's what they want you to believe đ€«
Holy Buckets! Lot of moist soil.
For making ditches to farm through a pull type pan scraper with water works gps for grading will make the most money on your farm hands down and super simple.
I love your videos a lot
Great video mike
Come on Mike remember you olny live once have a little fun even if it may be a little hard on the equipment đ
Mike, I have a question. Why not drag the mud in the opposite direction? ....đso that the mud displaces the water from the slough you are attempting to drain, and the water would flow in the direction you want.
Looks like you are becoming the "Canadian Version" of Chet, Dougo & the Big Swede playing in the mud to see who can get a tractor with tracks the muddiest.
Larson Farms can currently push the limit a little further because they have a heated wash bay & shop to use when eventually cleaning up the equipment.
That it a really muddy day.
Howdy Mike
Why donât you combine them all into just one? That way you can have a pool in the summer and an ice rink in the winter? It could be a money maker! đđđ
Poor tractor. Dozer set up with a laser is the way to go. Right tool for the job.
When I saw the mud on the tracks, I forgot the rims were supposed to be redđł
Time to go on holiday, enjoy the family, reload the batteries.
Just lower your front v and raise your back v you got to make small cuts at a time in mud.
Why not run drainage tile?
Could you get an excavator and dig a large trench along the outer boundary and put the soil in the ditch you made and then laser level the whole lot?
Got to 12 min in and my OCD would not me watch any longer. All that mud đł
Mike how do you clean that before you return it if its frozen solid on there, nice video by the way đ
Afternoon
10:55 - start at nothing, get moving - then slowly lover the plow. You need some momentum to figure out what youÂŽre really doing with things like these - you need to feel them out. Also, when you first get stuck, why would you try to just huck into the exact same load a second time? Try half the height, with a small amount of run-up. As far as the loss of traction and bottom in the last part - seriously wise decision to let that one go. Now - looking back - youÂŽve done a lot of the work, so an hour or two with an excavator would probably finish it up. Definately not worthless as far as I can see.
Press the switch which is at the end of the joistic and then tilt the joistic to the left and so you change the direction back or forth very soon I hope you understand what I've figured out
Mike, thanks for another interesting video about turning the slews into productive farmland.
Are any of the slews saline, hopefully not-?
It's the time of the year Mike everything is going to be dirty.đ
The dead Ends on the Grease Nipples were so Funny LOL, another great Video. How does the Fendt 1167 start in cold Weather ?
Black-beaty Fendt, but only bottom half đ
Mike,i have a question: You think your articulated 620 with tripples would preform better in this soup of mud with the same blade?
My thoughts were the same, but if he is spreading out the mud and debris from the sides the triples may smear the V thats created....
I don't think it would possible to maneuver with this thing. He would probably hit that plow with triples on tight turns.
They drain tile fields ..can that be done in your area
and you took a lot of risk in this mud your caterpillar tractor could have gotten stuck 10 times in this canal that you are digging to retain precious water for your crops the solution to do this braking work with two caterpillar tractors the problem would be solved and lion of fatigue on your equipment which takes a hit and you too for your health the risks of which enormous never be far from your base especially here you have a problem but I think that for that in Canada đšđŠ question communication you are well equipped good luck to you thank you for his enriching videos long live Canada đšđŠ
Looks like you need to do some tiling to get rid of that water.
Doesn't the Fendt change directions when you tap the stick to the left?
Yes, u have to click the button on the back of the stick and tap it to the left. That should do it, as far as i know
Gettin close to artic Tundra,, lol
I could hear a little panic in your voice when you was talking about putting in in drive.
An aerial view of your work would give ua all your a much better perspective of what you are doing. Please put your drone in the air.
Come on man !! Do like dad had us do !! Grab that spade and get to work đȘđ
This video is epic I love it you should make more my name is Ethan by the way
Bad thing about a auto greaser is when it quits and you have no idea because you don't check on it
The biggest problem here is the implement. It seems way to combersom and complicated. Get a pull dozer with a tilting blade and youâd be way better off.
Mike! Hey, IÂŽve got a question, Mike! So, why donÂŽt you use drainage pipes for these things? Apart from trying to be funny, this is a serious question. IÂŽm used to plow down drainage pipes/tubes/hoses to the nearest ditch/river or whatever lowest point you can get to. I realise things might be different around your parts, but I donÂŽt really understand it.
Have you got a drainage permit from the Provincial Watershed Authority?
I was hoping you would not get stuck
I find it a little foolish trying something like that with a 2 track friction drive. Common sense tells you itâll struggle, esp when inside of track gets wet and muddy. Been farming for 15 years, and I would never have tried that.
I don't get, can you make from the slew a some pond or something. As you have water every year ther..., pond will hold more water to.
Just curious why the John Deere with triples was not the tractor of choice for this project !
Tracks often outperform tires in muddy conditions as long as itâs straight line pulling.
And a CVT will always outperform a power shift in these scenarios
What a mess
Sorry Mike, but this north farm will never be the arid south farm. Be happy with your fertile high moisture black dirt. The north farm doesn't need to have the biggest equipment on the market.
Any legal factors doing this? In the Minnesota are Dnr and water agency would freak the f out.
it's illegal, he needs a permit from the Water Security Agency
As long as the water stays on your land your good
how do you handle your phone video recording so well
Mike. I have some regrets. Watching this is not one of them. Thanks.
HOW IS IT THAT YOU DONT GET STUCK
Dude, you need laser to your blade get this shit done well, otherwise it's just one big muddy sandbox...đ€Ł
mike when you want to go forward and back why dont you pulse the stick to your left leg ? as will always go the opposite way to what you are going
Do you guys not use drain tile?
Tapping the stick to the left doesnât work?
Are you running shoeless in the 1167 Mike?
No, the 1167 doesn't have carpet.. Only well carpeted cabs I go shoeless đ
Maybe you should consider tiling the sloughs to drain the water away
Hey man why dont you try a 4 track on the v wing ??
You millennials , always after instant results . A good LGP D6 and an excavator may be a better choice
I second that
Should have bought a Versatile Delta track!
Why dident you raise the side wings? Must go much esyer then?
You ride them hard and put them away wet?
You need a Dozer
And you donât have a government agency telling you no you canât do that?
Where are from?
The track hoes have finishing butt buckets I mean you're thinking about a track hoe with a you know a straight digging bucket but they also have attachments for track hose that have finishing buckets it means they can angle it they can pull the sides off and make it a a trough like veal but you also need really need a a level beam so you can make the trench fall and you don't need a lot of fall you know you have a quarter inch fall the whole way down and water is going to always take the easiest path so it don't have to be like a foot drop I mean obviously it would make up a foot in the long run but you don't have to start out with a huge drop at the beginning you just you can have a quarter inch every foot and by the time you got all the way out you might have a couple feet drop within you know I don't know three or four hundred yards there it looks like maybe I ain't sure how long it is really just kind of pointing to an area but anyway the point is that a track hoe has finishing buckets that actually angle so they can they can clean it up very nicely and not have to worry about getting stuck so bad especially if they wanted to bring Big Railroad tide planks which a lot of them use those when they're dealing with wet areas I've seen them going to swamps with these big planks that are attached together and they just move them around and stay on top of them so anyway that would work make a nicer job what you got going on there or the ground is going to freeze so at some point the ground's going to get hard enough to where it's not sloshy I mean if it gets cold where you're at I don't know where you're at but sooner or later that ground is going to get rock hard and you could drag off a lot on Frozen Ground so that's also an option too the water still be there but the ground will be frozen
You should have just went and got a Caterpillar Dozer would have done a lot better job
can you put tiles in up there
Put a wheeled tractor on that v-wing and you will do much better.
Don't you Canadians have ditches to drain slews to and get the water away?
Don't get stuck till someone else is home to come pull you out! We can water for content later! You don't want to know what it costs for a OffRoad Tow - If you can even get one. Start peeling $100 Bills off the big wad till they tell you to stop.đ€Ź (Yes, usually Highway Robbery-and it's all legal. ) Bring the Big Tow ropes.
He has a whole fleet of tractors in that size category.
The JD 9R would be much better at that job
FJT
What is your problem with Fendt,Mike?
This not your first doodle video for Fendt!
Fendt is the best tractor in the world.....
