Guys, I request everyone to write email (email id- helpdeskspom@icai.in) regarding the 40-hours mandatory watch-time of Self-Paced Online Modules lectures.
If you also think that these lectures are unnecessary, then please request ICAI to make the criteria of 40-hour watch-time just "optional" instead of "mandatory". Write all your reasons, for example:
- Many students have already studied "Law" and "SCMPE" in old scheme. If they fail this time, they will re-appear in Nov 2024. For them, 80-hours mandatory watch-time (40 hours each for Set A & Set B) is waste of time.
- Not everyone wants spending mandatory 80 hours out of their study routine.
- Many lower income students may not have laptop or broadband connection. You can't simply assume everyone having a laptop.
- Lectures being high quality, just 30 minutes of a lecture is taking around 600-800 MB of internet data. It may be problematic for those living in small towns or those who don't have broadband connection.
- These lectures are nothing but just bookish material converted into colourful graphics. So those who want to study directly from books, lectures shouldn't be mandatory because they are nothing more than study material.
Request them to remove mandatory 40-hours watch-time criteria. Write whatever reasons you want, these are just some examples. Please write an email to- helpdeskspom@icai.in
Let's unite here. Convince them to remove the forceful implementation of these video lectures and rather make them just optional.

Why you are taking it as a any other subject..treat it as a part of subject.. previous Students also gave time for these subjects and they cleared too

Also PPL who are facing problem of face not recognised can increase light of their room and get done.I did the same.

But on my dashboard of spom link both setA &B lectures are showing and law lectures are of approx 30 hrs but 40hrs minimum is required, so i have to watch scmpe lectures also even if i don't have clear it?

Update your latest photo in SSP and have proper lighting for the web cam so that your face is clearly visible

After reading the exemption notification by icai clearly issued in August, I inferred that those who have passed either 7/8 papers but appeared in Old Final till Nov 23 and converting now are exempt from both. But passed 7 in ipcc but not at all appeared in Final old and directly in new final, either c and d is applicable but not clear who is going to choose us or them

If you are converted from old scheme ca final to new scheme by paying Rs 1000, then you are exempted from set c and set d. You can see this proof, when you will click on set c for class, it will show you terms and conditions, in last line same words are written.
