Wow!!! This is my home. Welcome!!! I work downtown at the Marriott Raleigh City Center.
As a Denverite, I have to say that area really is not sketchy. The 16th Street Mall is right downtown and we do have a fairly large homeless population who congregate in that general area. However, Denver is a very safe city especially in terms of violent crimes. Car break-in's and petty theft, sure, but you guys had absolutely nothing to be worried about wandering around in the early evening up and down 16th street.

I live in Raleigh! That’s also hilarious y’all were talking about Cherie Berry! We have all been pretty sad ever since a new guy got elected. I think it’s the same in every state though (not positive but pretty sure)! It’s like the commissioner of labor that signs off on elevators so that’s why their picture is in there, but Cherie was just super iconic because of her name 😂

Denver is a beautiful city! I miss living in Colorado. I just don’t miss snow everyday in the mountains.
Make sure you open the lid when you store the soup container in the fridge if its closed the cold from the fridge doesnt go inside and the food will be spolied.
Be careful in downtown Denver I live here and I don't go downtown and yes our traffic is horrible over the last 10 years things have changed not for the better.

I just got back from Puerto Vallarta and I was hoping to see you on one of my legs when I went through Dallas and back. I know huge airport and many flight attendants. The AA crews that were working my flights both ways were great. I always bring them candy when I fly. Happy travels.
The picture of the NC department of labor secretary is on the safety inspection sign in every passenger elevator in the state. For many years it was Cheri Berry. The joke was " Cheri lifts me up ". We have a 2 story Target in Raleigh across the street from NC state

we have been short handed at work since we first heard of Covid as well. People just will not go back to work. Some customers take it out on the people who actually show up for work when they have to wait. Each WORKING person is doing their job plus extra work to make up for short staff & extra time.

If her hubby to be has a remote WFH gig, then work can happen where ever he and his laptop are at depending on what type of work he does...
You have to put in the work. I’ve been married to a pilot for 40 years. Had to raise three kids on my own at times. Temptation can creep in very easy in that situation. You have to make time for each other. Listen to concerns. Be there. Not just physically but also mentally. Take nothing for granted. Remember to always say “I love you” , but with feeling. And finally, if you really want it to work, then it will..
Marriage is tough no matter what. The day women met their careers define marital success - we've lost 30 years of progress. Believe it or not most crew members are married and even have kids. So it can work.
It has not been difficult for us at all, but I know it can take some adjusting for some couples if they didn't start out with this job before the relationship. Chip and I stay in contact on trips while I am gone but I personally think a little distance can be healthy. It really allows you to still have a sense of self and identity outside of just your marriage. Marriage is never easy, but it really just comes down to doing what is best for the two of you❤ Hope this helps some!
