Features and benefits of the floating backup ring

Our patented floating backup ring assembly addresses key challenges of high-pressure rotary sealing by providing the smallest-possible housing-to-shaft extrusion gap and eliminating the risk of seal-damaging heavily loaded metal-to-metal contact. This is accomplished by a backup ring design that is substantially immune to pressure-related deformation and follows shaft runout and deflection.
