35 years old Wilt Chamberlain is blocking 24 years old Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's sky hook twice in the same position. It is the most memorable defensive play to me.
The video is titled "great defensive plays in nba history" not the "greatest defensive plays in nba history". This is just a video of some great defensive plays they wanted to put in the video not every great play.
Whoever’s reading this, i pray that whatever you’re going through gets better and whatever you’re struggling with or worrying about is going to be fine and that everyone has a fantastic day! Amen
I hadn't seen that block by Nate Robinson on Yao Ming from the front before, although I've seen the one where he blocks him from behind a number of times, despite it being arguably less impressive.
If someone 7 feet can jump 45” and then throw the ball downwards into the hoop, it would be unblockable because it would be on the way down the whole time.
This video goes out to all the people who forget that Defense is truly 50% of the game. Great defense is often just as fun to watch and just as important as great offense 🏀
Greatest defensive plays but somehow doesn’t include LeBron’s Game 7 block, Giannis’ coverage and block of DBook and Ayton in 2021 finals, Holiday stripping the ball off DBook in the same finals and Ginobili clutch block on Harden?? Someone needs to get fired
It does not say "greatest" defensive plays. The title say "great'' defensive plays in NBA history which means not all memorable plays will be in this video, just a few
So Olajuwon blocking Stark's 3p buzzer beater in the Finals to save the season or Olajuwon blocking Jordan's 3p buzzer beater to win the game just never happened?
Blake Griffin is probably the biggest underachiever ever when it comes to defense. Especially if you take into consideration his ridiculous athleticism .....
Title is great, not greatest and appreciate finding some clips beyond the typical Bron on Iggy or Steal by Bird, but this is really missing Big Ben's block on Shaq =)
czcams.com/video/uJGCySdvlPo/video.html 8:28 of the linked video. Block on Bob Love. Wilt committing to a Chet Walker layup attempt, who then dished off to Love. One of the greatest defensive plays I’ve ever seen.
No game 7 NBA Finals? No Mutumbo clips? No Kawhi one finger block? No 10 steals by Draymond? I'm only saying this cause it says ALL-TIME. So this should be a WAY longer video.
sorry but nba, thats just embarrassing. where is the block of lebron in the 2016 finals? that was history. he didnt just make a block in a game 7 in the final minutes in a NBA finals, he also managed to be the first to ever come back form a 3-1 deficit. ALL WITH THIS ONE BLOCK!
no mj steal then game winner in the finals to cap off his 2nd 3-peat? no lebron g7 block coming back from 3-1 deficit in the finals? wtf are these choices ??? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
35 years old Wilt Chamberlain is blocking 24 years old Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's sky hook twice in the same position. It is the most memorable defensive play to me.
Goal tending is it not?
@@rakuzan9148 No
2nd block was a goaltend
The greatest defensive play of all time, in a game 7 of the finals is somehow missing.
This channel is always trolling.
No way the block had a case over "hondo stole the ball"
It’s regular season only
The video is titled "great defensive plays in nba history" not the "greatest defensive plays in nba history". This is just a video of some great defensive plays they wanted to put in the video not every great play.
Also giannis one in a game 7 as well
The clips of Wilt blocking Kareem and Manute Bol getting 4 blocks in a row are genuinely shocking
After being blocked MJ took it personal and made a two hand block & steal. Also great defensive hustle by Kobe and great block by LeBron
Those three had some pretty absurd blocks but MJs was just disrespectful
I love how you appreciate those blocks be them 3 of the GOATS. Forever Legends in my Book🐐🐐🐐
Whoever’s reading this, i pray that whatever you’re going through gets better and whatever you’re struggling with or worrying about is going to be fine and that everyone has a fantastic day! Amen
"the sky hook is ungaurdable"
wilt: hold my 14 thousand'th
Rodman is the king of hustling & rebounding for the Ball🐐
2:24 To see an ageing Wilt blocking Kareem's Sky Hook twice in a row in one possession is absurd.
@Someone not goaltend
@Someone oh no, they called goaltending before Wilt was even in the league. That was just a clean block.
Ben Wallace last block was incredible... But the big one on Miami´s Shaq is the best block in NBA history (with LBJ on Iggy)
Giannis block on Ayton better be here
LeBron's block on Iguodala in the Finals definitely belongs in this video.
Yeah i was waiting for it but idk why they didn’t include it
Any defensive compilation should automatically include Tayshaun Prince and Lebron's block
Good defense is so fun to watch 💯
Those back to back blocks by Chuck were awesome, especially grabbing it out of the air.
My favorite blocks in this video are Manute, MJ, Kobe and LBJ
How is Tayshaun prince block on Reggie miller not on here? Or LeBron’s on Igoudala. Both game 7’s
That LaPhonso Ellis block was ridiculous.
Manute Bol just looks like he's swatting flys there lmao
Hmmm no bam block on Tatum?
This shouldn’t have made me so hype but im glad it did
Lebron is insane he's popping off
I hadn't seen that block by Nate Robinson on Yao Ming from the front before, although I've seen the one where he blocks him from behind a number of times, despite it being arguably less impressive.
Rodman will forever be my favorite player.
If someone 7 feet can jump 45” and then throw the ball downwards into the hoop, it would be unblockable because it would be on the way down the whole time.
This video goes out to all the people who forget that Defense is truly 50% of the game. Great defense is often just as fun to watch and just as important as great offense 🏀
like the highlights until i saw ben wallace. now i liked it even more 🔥
“Iguadola to Curry back to Iguadola!
Up for the lay up, Ohhh!
Blocked by James!”

I feel like chasedown blocks are great hustle plays, but not necessarily great defence.
giannis block on ayton is still the best i’ve seen
2:59 Good to see Kawhi smiling on that defensive play.
"wow chuck was a beast" ... enter rodman babying him the very next clip
No ones talking about manute bol 4 blocks in a row i see lol that was insane ‼️
3:02 Griffin grabs the rim with his left hand, slowing his descent. This should have been a tech or goaltending.
How is BLOCKED BY JAMES not on here?!
So Olajuwon blocking Stark's 3p buzzer beater in the Finals to save the season or Olajuwon blocking Jordan's 3p buzzer beater to win the game just never happened?
NBA us vs eu match would be a good show.
A lot of great blocks are missing Block From James the Bam block on Tatum these were great but totally incomplete
0:55 dude mutombo really did the finger wagle when it wasn‘t even him blocking the shot
Is there a highlight reel Lebron isn’t on? Also, all of these blocks are insane
the fact that there's no mutombo's block have been showed made me disappointed. such a disrespect for the finger wag ☝☝☝
Naw what impressed me was how high Charles Barkley got to get those blocks😳😳🥶🥶
Why the clips from the 80s looks better than those from early 2000s hahah
40 yr old mj with hops 🤯
Not many ppl remember Ben Wallace defense😢
That LeBron Block in the first clip is absolutely freakishly absurd
Jrue holiday's block against the Celtics
The best for last.
No way you didn’t include blocked by James
Iguodala to Curry back to Iguodala goes for the layup! OH BLOCK BY JAMES!!!!!!
2:24 Proof that the skyhook is not unstoppable like people say. Wilt blocked it twice #philly
But Wilt was built different
unstoppable is a term used to describe an extremely dominant move, only a troll would take it literally
He's Wilt
Only he can do it
Blake Griffin is probably the biggest underachiever ever when it comes to defense. Especially if you take into consideration his ridiculous athleticism .....
Giannis on DeAndre Ayton 2021 finals not here??? That's crazyyyy
missing Game 5 1993 East Finals, Game 6 1994 Finals, Game 7 2016 Finals, Game 4 2021 Finals
that was WIZARDS MJ. OLD AF. and he did it against his FORMER TEAM that he won 6 RINGS with.
Nate Robinson best block NBA history 🔥🔥🔥
Mugsy Bogues in that Manute Bol clip. 😆😅
I better see Shannon Brown’s block (even though ref called foul)
The Kawhi block/strip on Westbrook..?
They finished it off with ben but forgot ben on shaq jump ball block
Damn draymond not in this Vid lol he should be pissed
Lebron block on Iguodala is not here????
It's funny you forgot THE block.
Faltou o Ja morango x lakers e lebronha james x warrios
Where is bam adebayo block jason tatum nba east conference final 2020?
Block by James!!!
these are blocks not necessarily defensive plays, by mostly superstars
No single tony allen defenses on that grit and grind grizzlies??
Hey, where’s the no look strip by harden here?
Title is great, not greatest and appreciate finding some clips beyond the typical Bron on Iggy or Steal by Bird, but this is really missing Big Ben's block on Shaq =)
People say MJ on the Wizards was "bad." mhm.
Lmao Yao cried after he got blocked by a 5 footer
bol bocking 4 time is the best one
Blake Griffin did a 360 for a block shot 🤯
Jordan did that too
2017 LeBron blocked Iguodala
2016
50 seconds in who is the guy that blocked the shot
laphonso ellis i think
Dont be sad when youre bald remember the top 5 nba players are also bald

Jason Maxiell's block ok KG
Tayshaun's block on Reggie
Kawhi's block on Harden
Bam's block on Tatum

Manute Bol
The best is Kobe,Bol no2 and Lebron no3
Shannon Blown isn’t here?
Giannis block in the finals?
people commenting 'first' done got no life
okay I was wrong. LeBron can jump two feet.
I can do the same thing in 2k22-
sorry but nba, thats just embarrassing. where is the block of lebron in the 2016 finals? that was history. he didnt just make a block in a game 7 in the final minutes in a NBA finals, he also managed to be the first to ever come back form a 3-1 deficit. ALL WITH THIS ONE BLOCK!

Where’s Lebron blocking iggy??
Lebrons block = goaltending. The ball was dropping.
