lol..."Wait approximately 3 years"
Certified working 😎.
Excellent video and steps! I skipped the edit vmx file and couldn't get an ethernet adapter to show up when I was logged in. Followed the vmx edit steps and now the VM is fully functional.
Glad to hear it!
Thank you! Helped me more than my own professor here.
At 2:07 I chose version "macOS 14" and all worked well. Thanks for the tutorial!
Glad it was helpful
I lol so hard on "Now wait approximately 3 years while macOS is installed" But It really does take a long time to install. Love your content!
Appreciate the comment! It takes forever!
Love your content. Thank you!
Thanks!
Oh my gaaaawd, yours were the ONLY instructions that I was able to get a working Sonoma ISO created and booted into VMWare with. You're a fucking HERO.
Haha, glad it worked for you

I may have spoke too soon. The ISO loaded up and appeared to install, but the final bootup sequence entered a loop an I end up with an error explaining "your computer has restarted because of a problem.." and keeps doing so. Certainly got further than I did, but still stopped dead. The only version I can get working on my machine is Monterey.
@@i12bretro
I figured the problem out. My desktop has a CPU that doesn't support AVX2. Going to move my virtual machine to my new gaming laptop. Should be good.
how did you download the iso file without corrupting??
@@LynPaine
Uh, I downloaded the DMG file of Sonoma and converted it to a working ISO myself using the instructions this channel provided.
I can't find Sonoma collection on a given step1 link. Can you please provide direct link?
OMG!thx bro, It's work👍💓
the file disk image iso is corrupted, how to fix that issue?
Thank you for this great tutorial, however after following all the steps and installing the TOOLS multiple times I simply can't get the white desktop background go display a wallpaper and no resizing on the resolution either...also laggy. What am I doing wrong ?
The installation it's very slow on the disk, it's a common problem?
For some reason, I have a white wallpaper. I tried changing it in the settings but it does not help. What can I do to fix it?
Amazing content
Thanks
If I don’t have 40 gb initially available on my Mac can I still create a vm? I keep getting a disk space is critically low screen when trying to run the machine, can I possibly purchase more iCloud storage n store the vm hard disk there?
What is your host hardware config?
no unlocker file for linux ?
thanks.
I tried getting the iso from the link to internet archive but got no result finding the Sonoma version. Am I doing something wrong.
I upgraded from big sur to sonoma but I have no graphics at all desktop background is white and anything graphical wont work can someone help
Followed instructions to the letter and tried with a few ISOs, but got always the same result: after powering on, I get the apple logo and the progress bar gets stuck around 10%. After a while, VMWare players tells me it stopped due to a generic error and restarts the vm, gets stuck again and so on. Im on Win11 with Intel processor. Anybody got the same issue?
Your the best👍👍 thanks for your help. I wanted to create a apple application using xcode which does not run in windows now i can continue developing applications
Glad it was helpful!
My vm gets stuck on the boot screen it just says VmWare
Apple id is working in this method?
I didn't find sonoma in the discription
How can I use iservices on this vmware?
Omg you are a lifesaver sir. I was trying for hours. This is the only method that works 100%❤❤❤ last year I invested in an expensive gaming lap. I wanted to try out Logic Pro x.couldnt invest in another MacBook. Respect. By the way, if I log in with my apple id will I get in trouble?
No you will be fine using your Apple ID! For all they know is you bought a used MacBook from Jerome on Facebook marketplace, but now it's yours!
Maybe usb dongle WIFI&BT can work on Sonoma in somehow. I was trying no success and I found Sonoma not support usb wifi and BT . Is it possible to use as a WIFI and BT on VM?
Hi I have a problem , after instalation of macos it shows totaly white color instead of wallpapers and after instalation of vmware tools display does not resize to original one it shows 1024 x 768 instead of 1920 x 1080
Maybe you forgot to “allow” VMware tools access in your “privacy and security” system settings. And as far as for the wallpaper that’s because of your hardware. Trust me, mine does the same. If your resolution isn’t fixed even after allowing VMware tools access in system settings try going to terminal and imputing some commands to increase resolution.
How is the speed? Coz I installed Monterey and it was terrific, could even play a CZcams video and it was lagging
It's basically the same as previous versions
I just need usb to work, will it work?
I don't see anything in the unlocker files about Darwin.iso, but besides that, everything worked out alright! THANK YOU
How does this actually run? I've had Big Sur and Monterey on VMWare and it was really hit or miss, laggy/sluggish and sound or other things would just stop working. This any better or more of the same?
More of the same I suppose. The best performance I've found is virtualizing it on Proxmox with a physical GPU passed to the VM
we need tuto for this because most have amd gpu's but cannot use them in macOS with vmware cause of no acceleration support@@i12bretro
Will this work with VMWare Workstation (not Player)? Since it’s free now for personal use
Bro virtual mac is not connecting to the internet. I did the steps in the video. I reinstalled it a few times but nothing. While you can connect to the internet on older Mac versions, this one says "Ethernet, no connection"
"No supported boot device found" unfortunately
Same here 🤔
the github doesn't have the darwin.iso file for the vmware tools
Will this work with iMessage and Apple ID
The speed is so slow how to speed up?
Everything is good but I’m unable to sign into iCloud it states “iCloud could not be activated because of a server error. Please try again later”.
can you send me a link or something of where you got your iso? mine doesn't seem to be working, which i got from the internet archive. my imac also seems to be too old to make a sonoma usb drive successfully returning error code 112, which seems to occur due to a computer that can't run the os you're trying to make a usb from
I managed to create an ISO using his instructions. Tell me where you'd like me to upload it and I'll do it.

Great instructions...until the VMWare Tools section. These tools are nowhere to be found. The VMWare Unlocker I have is V3.04 and does not come with a "tools" folder...
Thank you for the work, however my vm is extremely slow, I assigned 12 vCPU and 16G and it is still crazy slow
no gpu passthrough in vmware?
Not that I know of
I followed all of the instructions perfectly, and I even double checked everything. Could this be because of software changes?
Definitely could be something has changed. Also it only works on Intel CPUs generation 4 or newer
I have an Intel i3 1115g4 with integrated graphics, so maybe the integrated graphics are the issue?
Hello
Works with Ryzen 7 5700x?
This is for AMD czcams.com/video/N-qa3c-V794/video.html
Why does it feel like I'm lagging, how do I make it run smoothly like in the video, what should I adjust?
For my PC specs, it's Core i7 Gen 11
It's probably more because it lacks proper graphics acceleration. As long as you installed VMware tools there's probably not much you can do to improve it
If I have Nvdia Geforce GTX latest graphic card , it will work in VMWARE smoothly?@@i12bretro
vmware tools makes it smooth if u dont have it
This works with AMD processors?
No, it requires an Intel CPU
Sweet. Now I can stop pestering my boss for a scrap Mac I can use for a test/documentation example box and just make a VM!
Hello! I did everything as in these instructions, but I get kernel panic during final reboots. What did I do wrong? Can you help me please?
This requires an Intel CPU with AVX2 support. If you have that, try another iso
@@i12bretro is there instructions for an AMD CPU? 7950x
It won't work on AMD CPUs
The ISO is not booting for me.
Try another one. They aren't all created correctly
the resolution is low and the refresh rate is 30 how can i fix that ?
The best you can do is install the guest tools. It's a VM, not a gaming PC
Can I ask you why I'm stuck at Apple logo, nothing happens, I also don't get to the part when you do the clean install :( I dunno what I'm doing wrong. Please help!

@@i12bretro hi mate, i have an ryzen 9 4900H CPU, is there any way to get it working?
No, it won't run on an AMD CPU
Fix for AMD Ryzen5 7500F : In the vmx file, change virtualHW.version = "21" to virtualHW.version = "16" (at least, saw some folks that managed to make it work with version 20 but didn't try myself yet) and make sure usb 3.1 is enabled in hardware settings
how to amd 5600g ?
Won't work on AMD processors
Can I pass an iPhone or iPad to the vm? I keep getting connection errors.
I've never tried. Don't own an iPhone or iPad haha
This is what I need, did it work?
@@i12bretro To be honest, I gave up because I couldn't get it to work. Then, I made the mistake of asking VM Ware and got some snarky rude response from them, so I quit using VM Ware.

Ok now show us CZcams running at 4k and how quickly your can send and receive iMessages. Thanks!
You know right most people just need VMware macOS as a means to an end. To install and configure blue bubbles, so I guess it runs well on their windows.
@@joaboby2 What's blue bubbles? I just want to send instant messages to my friends with iPhones with the fancy iPhone things.
@@Cyko.. same thing. But you can also configure blue bubbles on your windows with the help of a VMware macOS. You wont need a mac or iPhone that way to directly send messages to your iPhone “friends”.
@@joaboby2 Blue Bubbles was a pain to install and opens up many security holes for my usage. Full disk access, access to Google, creating projects, disabling API, access to Apple, etc?? Not worth the hassle to me.
I should just be able to use the built in iMessage app on macOS. But you can't. You gotta jump through hoops and disable some security.
@@Cyko.. exactly! Because lol I’d be lying if I said blue bubbles wasn’t a hassle. And sorry that I was recommending it. I was just saying, it’s a “one-time” hassle which is worth it because for me the VMware , macOS iMessages is a complete glitch. You can barely type and open a single window at a time, no matter how much RAM or processors you have, it’s still glitchy. And speaking of iMessages, it took me a whole month just to get the gist of it. Because normally when I’d try to login it would state some kind of error like “an error occurred while connecting to server”.
Man there is no "Tool" folder inside unlocked😮💨
