10. Long sleeve placket, tucks and underarm seam - Precut Shirt 2024

  • 1. Use the cardboard template to press under the1cm edges of the placket as shown. The placket and binding are then stitched onto the edges of the opening (1cm S/A), starting at the cuff end and ending 1cm before the ends of the placket & bind.
    2. Fold the tucks in place on the cuff edge and tack in place.
    3. Sew the underarm seam and overlock with the sleeve front facing upwards.

    Thank you for the great example of forming and stitching the placket and tucks!
    I'm learning just like so many people.
    If there is any discrepancy between the length of the two seams after being sewn,
    it might also be because too much pressure was applied by the hand while the feed dogs
    grab the lower level during the feed. ie differential feed idea.
    Holding the tail end of the fabric up, and over the hand slightly is great technique. Awesome!
