- Batman and Robin wake up trapped in Catwoman's enormous echo chamber. One of the few traps that's actually not a deathtrap. She's not trying to kill them but destroy their minds and turn them into loveslaves. Pretty risky (and cool) for a kid's show.

Memorable the way Julie Newmar drew out her words slowly to convey Catwoman’s sensuality and used her eyes to look down over Batman.

We should all be glad Julie Newmar decided to play catwoman for the series. When her brother told her that at Harvard they would stop what they were doing and watch it, that's when she decided to do it. Thanx for posting this.
That certainly had to be a myth. Catwoman was only in the third week, so they doubtless had filmed this before the program ever aired
@@dwlopez57 No, there were more episodes before Catwoman came into the series. The other villains came into the show earlier before Julie Newmar decided to do Catwoman. There were a whole lot more shows from the first show to when Catwoman was introduced. Go look it up.

That was a very well done trap and the escape fit the theme of the episode well; same as with the Chandell/Fingers trap.

tonyocch1, yes, greetings to you. I truly do agree. The caped crime fighters showed great gallantry toward Catwoman in granting her request to use makeup before submitting to the arrest. True, it cost them dearly, but their character remained so noble.

I agree. They become weak and helpless almost instantly. And it was their chivalry that lead to their capture.
Robin had the koolest suit. perfect colors. He was the just right hang out for Batman. I used to love when Batman could slide off to a jam while Robin was too young to attend. It was so cute .

It would take 30 more years for a villain to realize that a Super-Hero trapped and set to be executed by a murderous devise should not be left alone, the villain should stay there just in case the super-hero manage to get away with one of his smarty tricks. -- The genius villain , who first realized this obvious fact, was the son of villain Dr. Evil in the 1996 movie Austin Powers. But sadly, like Casandra of the Iliad Greek Myth, the boy´s advice was not accepted by Dr. Evil; and then, as usual, Super-Hero Austin Powers made the Super-Hero trick and got away.

Julie was really funny as Catwoman. At 1:50 - 1:53, her reaction and the way she delivered that line. You can tell what she was thinking and you didn't blame her and when she told them that their ear drums would be shattered, she told them as if it was nothing when we, she, and them knew that it was.
Which was why Ms Newmar reprised it for the DCAU special "Batman '66: Return of the Caped Crusaders" alongside Burt Ward and the late Adam West

The color of Robin's cape, canary yellow, stood out to me, the way it covered his arm as he reached out to his adorable creature ,Marsha. How he used it to dry his tears from the sad pill. The red tunic with the r at the side. And the mask that the joker wanted to remove. Batman swinging his cape with the female criminal Molly while being drugged, the way he carried himself when he walked into a perp being questioned raising the cape like a bat. Batgirl wore an exquisite costume and I was most impressed with the costumes of Marshas guardians, I could see myself lounging around my home in their clothes.
I had forgotten how hot Sharyn Wynters was, especially in those pants.

For the 1960s I wondered how this got pass the censorship many times maybe because they thought kids would not pick up on it , I didn't pick up on it until I watched it as a adult, every Catwoman episode except the ones Eartha Kitt played the role , when Julie Newmar played the role the sexual tensions were over the top like the episode where they were going to kiss 💋 and Robin interrupted the moment.....
