I didn't realize until now that their music is more about God and blessings etc.. with all the negative you hear about women being ho's, slangin dope, $$$, FTP, blah blah blah on the radio, it's refreshing to hear lyrics that don't make me feel ashamed to be a woman, or the only way to come up in life is to steal. I like Kristen May. But I feel like Lacey puts her soul into her songs. I'm not a fan of Christians spouting their beliefs in everything they do, but I can respect it when they clearly put feeling and passion behind something as beautiful as this song.
Ardream Bystander it's because they're Lacey's songs. She has that strong emotional feeling set on the lyrics. Nobody will ever be better at Lacey's songs because she defined them as hers. Kristen does have a great voice and I'd really like to see her career go uphill. There's just a lot of hate on her for replacing Lacey in Flyleaf, which I understand. But don't be bias towards talent because if you sat down and listened to a few of the songs by Kristen (not covers) - you'd see her potential.
Hermalinda Pickrell I prefer her raspy vocals and gutty screams, but her more melodic vocals are just as amazing. I remember first seeing her way back when flyleaf were just a local texas band and I'm still a huge fan of hers.

Such a tough decision... I prefer her old raspy voice on studio albums but raspy voices sound like shit live, I think she has a good balance now.
