Something a little funny....I was born in 1990. Grew up listening to the radio constantly when my parents had it on. Used to hear the original Steve Winwood version quite a lot. Wasn't until 2021 that I even knew Whitney Houston did a version when I heard this version by chance. It triggered that part of my brain where I knew I'd heard the words and melody before but in a different version and I hadn't heard Winwood's version since I was a kid. Nothing at all against Houston, and it might just be some nostalgia, but I prefer the original song by Steve Winwood.
When I heard this song on the radio, I was in pure shock. No other joy than hearing Whitney on the radio. A true talent taken too soon by the stress of life.

Kygo added a different track behind her, made autotuned versions of her voice to make apart of the beat since that's popular nowadays (where are you now by Skrillex and Justin Bieber), and cut different versions of the chorus together to give it a more hectic feel as welll as rearrange and cut out a buncha stuff. Her voice didn't need any fixing, especially when the track was recorded originally, so I don't think he did anything to that.

Few things earn the title of masterpiece - I think this is one of them. Quite literally everything about this is beautiful and tasteful. And seeing Whitney on TV and in those posters touches my soul. Kygo absolutely created a masterpiece and Whitney is THE perfect voice!
This is such a refreshing sound due to the era were currently living in. Miss Whitney brings back that feeling of love in this incredible master piece. She's my all time favorite female artist.

I'm not the biggest Kygo fan necessarily or the biggest fan of house music. But I admit, I'm obsessed with this song. As a huge fan of Whitney Houston, this remix is truly something special and pays such an amazing tribute to her and her incredible talent. Anytime I need a pick-me-up, this song can make me cry tears of joy because of how powerfully moving it sounds! Truly a masterpiece and I have to say thank you to Kygo for putting together such an amazing and fitting tribute to Whitney Houston. And of course Steve Winwood wrote the tune and it's a beautiful song anyway. But to me this is the best version of the song, hands down

Few things earn the title of masterpiece - I think this is one of them. Quite literally everything about this is beautiful and tasteful. And seeing Whitney on TV and in those posters touches my soul. Kygo absolutely created a masterpiece and Whitney is THE perfect voice!

I'm not the biggest Kygo fan necessarily or the biggest fan of house music. But I admit, I'm obsessed with this song. As a huge fan of Whitney Houston, this remix is truly something special and pays such an amazing tribute to her and her incredible talent. Anytime I need a pick-me-up, this song can make me cry tears of joy because of how powerfully moving it sounds! Truly a masterpiece and I have to say thank you to Kygo for putting together such an amazing and fitting tribute to Whitney Houston. And of course Steve Winwood wrote the tune and it's a beautiful song anyway. But to me this is the best version of the song, hands down
