I had never even heard of the 24-35mm.. what an interesting lens. Awesome collection! The M and K lenses are really nice. I am thinking of picking up a few next because they are so affordable. As long as they're not the few rare ones.
Thanks for watching! Yeah that 24-35 is super compact and very interesting. I need to mount it on the Sony and take it out.
It's an interesting focal length, Minolta also made a 24-35 3.5 in MD mount.
your street photography is brilliant. thanks for this video! i also use old pentax lens and cameras and just love them.
Im new to pentax, reason why i switched was the huge availability of pentax lenses new and old,its early days yet,but loving it so far
Some fantastic images there, thanks for sharing
Thanks you! Totally agree about the lenses, there's many of them and many are excellent.
Fantastic street shots! Great video too - I'll look at some of your other videos on specific lenses.
I'm a hardcore-Pentaxian, too. Bodywise I use K1000, KM, KX, K2, MX, LX, 2 MEs and a K-5 DSLR. And there is quite an abundance of lenses: M 4/20mm, FA* 2/24mm, M 2.8/28mm, K 2/35mm, M 2.8/40mm, M 1.7/50mm, K 4/50 macro, K 1.8/55mm, K 1.8/85mm, M 2.8/100mm, K 2.5/135mm, M 4/200mm, K 4/300mm, FA 3.2-4.5/28-105, DA 3.5-5.6/18-55mm WR, DA 4/16-45mm and a Sigma 4-5.6/55-200mm DC. A lot of stuff, but I love all of it, especially the old analog material...
nice collection and *very* nice pics, makes the video really fun.
Thank you very much!
Ohh what an eclectic collection of lenses! Great video!
That is an impressive lens collection for sure. Lovely images, both black and white, and color. My vintage lens collection started with Super-Takumars. But more recently I changed to K mount vintage lens. A few M lenses and one A. I think I will continue adding a lens or two every so often now that Pentax is considering producing new film cameras again. The cost of these may begin to rise real fast soon!
Wow, you have so many pentax lenses!
You should compare the two 28mm lenses f2.8 and F3.5 and please compare the 24mm f3.5 to the 24mm f2.8 SMC-K lenses too
Great video so informative and lovely images. I bought an Asahi Pentax-A 50mm 1.4 MF lens for my K3 but I cannot get metering in manual drive mode on my VF or lcd. Do I shoot in auto on drive button (camera switched to MF).
hello can i use these lenses in a sony a7iii what kind of adapter?
I love the picture of the bride and the faceless groom mannequins. I think it tells a story of women getting married when they are older and quickly picking a man that is available because she has waited too long and is rushed.
Is your Pentax ist a digital camera or film camera? That was a nice picture taken with that camera.
Do you use m42 on your pentax camera too?
I have a bunch of M42 lenses, that I use on mirrorless usually. Both Sony and Fuji. This is also tru of the K mount ones, as I haven't been using my Pentax bodies too much lately.
please make a comparison of 28 2.8 and 3.5
I've been meaning to do just that! I even went and took similar photos with either lens.
I also got the K28 3.5, which is said to be a lot better than the M lenses.
I need to get my act together and upload more videos, frankly, CZcams's war against adblockers has turned me off from adding content a little.
What's your go to lens for street?
It varies over the years. On the Pentax APS-C it was either the 21 Limited, or the FA35, with a 16-45 or 17-70 zoom every now and then.
Nowadays I shoot mostly with the Ricoh GR 2, so 28mm, or with the Fuji X100V, so 35mm. In general I go between 28mm and 50mm, depending on mood and how shy I feel in a given day :)
Plllllleeeeeeeaaaase compare the 28s!!!!
Haha ok, I might just do that!
I only have the 3.5 version, and its lovely
Agreed.
@@JuanBuhler I have the 28mm f2.0 but that FA looks like perfection.
I also just bought the Vivitar 28mm f1.9 RL Edition with a K1000 for $130 CAD. (Sold the K1000)
The current favorite though is the Vivitar 24mm f2.0 RL Edition... That one has 'A' and works with the K3 so perfectly.
I never used them too much?????
* I haven't used them too much.😄
I like the 35-70mm. The Macro is great. Enjoy!
