Of course it is 1986 - I converted this from the VHS tape. I've seen the production information in the end credits. The VHS was released in 1987, the show aired in 1986 - plus, look at MJ for goodness sake, this is clearly circa-'86.

Where was this filmed? Does it say on the VHS sleeve? It appears that it is filmed in the gym at my high school in San Marcos, CA... Could it have been?

It was filmed at San Marcos high school. I was in the stands there while they were filming this (class of 87). I've seen a little different version of this that a friend had recorded, were I could see myself (cringe) in the crowd. The whole school was not in there, I cannot remember how they chose what students got to attend. I just remember before we went in they told us to go in quietly and not approach Jordan and take a seat in the stands. He was just sitting there before the filming began in a chair reading the newspaper. Him and the Sheens did interact with us after it was over on the court when we were allowed to come out of the stands. They were signing stuff for people, don't know if Charlie got any phone #'s that day lol. Me and my son were just watching the Michael Jordan documentary on ESPN, and I told him about the time he came to my school. I happened to look this up to show him. Couldn't believe it still existed out there.
