This week, we’re creating leafy branches! Not only do we create 4 different styles of branches, but we integrate 4 different shadow/highlight effects in them, too, giving you plenty of options for future artwork! The first 3 branches are very beginner friendly and the 4th one is there if you’re up for a challenge ;) Grab the free color palette + free brush (above) to get started!

Thanks for watching! - Jak na to + styl
Finally I made it today! I wanted to watch and follow along with this tutorial for ages.
I loved how you taught giving highlights. I did not know this earlier! I used to do it with my powder brush with screen or color dodge blend mode to give highlights!
Super approachable, thank you. I’ve gone through this exercise twice now and it really builds on itself. Good luck on your new course; I will try to pick it up in its recorded form.
Loved this. You are so generous in sharing your incredible knowledge
I really like the way you drew the oval over the leaf then blurred it and then made it a clipping mask.
This one was fun! I really need to locate my "re-color", ugh I wasnt able to do that part, but everything else was awesome. Great tuut as always, Teela! tfs.....
So pretty Teela. Thanks for another great tutorial. I love how you teach and that you do so on a beginner to more intermediate level so everyone can follow along.
I loved how mine turned out, spectacular! Not as beautiful as yours, but with a touch of mine. I keep learning more and more.
This is my second video and honestly, it relaxes me a lot from daily stress.
Thanks for your contributions!
Everything becomes much more easier after I discovered your channel🥺 You make everything clear and easy to understand, I don’t have to struggle anymore! Love u so much, please make more videos, we will always support you ❤️

Tanya Bell i agree 100%. Teela you are amazing. You definitely have a special gift of making things make sense. You are a great teacher'!
Agreed

You are amazing, love what I have learnt in such a short time, although lots of pausing and rewinding lol but hay I actually done something, thank you 😊
I learn something new every time I watch one of your videos, Teela, so thank you so much!!
Thanks, Ilene! That means a lot! 💕
Not even 5 minutes in the video and I've already learnt lots of new tricks for Procreate ! I'm a new iPad + Procreate user, so this is incredibly helpful and clear. Thank you very much
yay! Love hearing that :)
Amazing thank you so much for your fantastic tutorial
Done ! (Love the 4th one) Thank you very much Teela. Beautiful video as always. I also like your voice, very understandable, clear and pleasant (English is not my mother language). It is really a pleasure to learn with you. And I learn something new every time 🥰 !
Makes my day to hear that! Thanks for watching!
I learn soooo much from you! Thank you! 😊
Thank for these techniques!!
A just got my new second ipad, and I’m glad that I found your channel
I've been subscribed to your newsletter for a few (very hectic) months, and am just now starting to have enough down time to settle in and watch your content. You've got a great program here! I'm a print maker with a maybe intermediate knowledge of digital art at best, and this your videos are both concise & very easy to jump in to. Thanks!
That makes me so happy - thanks so much for checking them out!
Awesomeeee.....loved this tutorial. Thanks Teela
Thank you so much 😊 so helpful 💕
WOW!!! This was so easy to follow. The last one was epic!! :-)
Thank you Teela ! Great tutorial.... :)
Love it!
So many great tips and tricks! Thanks Teela! I especially loved the idea of applying shading / highlights using a hard brush and then blurring it using Gaussian blur and applying a clipping mask. BTW here’s a trick to recolor a layer’s pixels to black: Hue, Saturation, Brightness > set Brightness down to zero. This was a fun illustration to do!
Thanks Keren! I like knowing the exact value of the colors, so (being the control freak I am with files), that's why I never reduce brightness for black :)
@@EveryTuesday thanks for the tip! I hadn't considered that.
Thank you, Teela! Learned so much! As always, loved your video tutorial.
❤️
Love this. Thank you. Do you ever plan to make Illustrator or Photoshop tutorials for iPad?
Thanks so much Teela! Another awesome tutorial. Trickier than it looks! I encountered a couple of issues. One was the “missing recolour button “ issue others have found since the newer versions of Procreate, but I found help for that via google to add it to QuickStart menu…but I still had some issues with the recolor only working on some of the leaves so I had to recolor manually a lot..do you know why that might have happened? Anyways I learned so much and really appreciate you doing these for us.
Thank you Teela, that was fun, now it’s my turn.
I love this👍🏾💞
thank you ^^
Thanks a lot! I am studying Procreate with you! Hugs!
Just an idea. With the plant 4. Before filling in the countour of the leaves one can duplicate the layer with the countour and keep it hidden for a while. Then one could color it with black and take it to the mask-layer in order to avoid extra work with careful redrawing countours of shadowed leaves. What do you think?
I love this so much. I also enjoyed learning those tough highlighting techniques you made it seem like a breeze!
I’m practicing this. On 2. When I select the duplicated flattened to color black (for shadows) my black wants to be behind the leaves. I scratched it and started over but doing the same thing. What am I doing wrong?
These are soo helpful, Thank you!✨
thanks for the tutorial ! I cant find " recolor " on my magic wand ?
I can’t find it either. I seem to have the latest version, it says 5X 5. My drop down list of Adjustment options under the magic wand looks quite different.
Hi Teela! I love your videos and I can't want to try these tricks! Also, I tried to sign up for your every Tuesday resource library, but I never received an email. Is there anything else I can do?
Send me an email (every-tuesday.com/contact ) if you still haven't received anything (+ checked your spam folder) and I'll see what's going on :)
Help, I can’t find Recolor! I have version 5X 5
Hello, I have a problem to make this drawing. I haven't the command "recolor" in the adjustment part. I have the last version of procreate. Thanks for your response
Hey! They've hidden it a bit since this was recorded. It now needs to be added as an item in the quick select menu. If you need any help adding it there, I have a full tutorial on how to do that in my free course here: every-tuesday.com/5x
🌹🌹Nice video💖💖❤️ 응원하고 갑니다~~👍👍
can you do a tutorial for drawing people?
I'm def not the right person for a 'people' tut - sorry!
My procreate is updated but i dont see the recolor option in my magic wand tool :(
They've moved it to the quick menu since this was recorded...still wishing they would move it back
I can’t believe I can draw 🥺
What i know you love plants.
