Thank you for giving us the permission to witness this part of your story :’) It’s funny how as someone who has been through a full education in the arts, my fear is always not doing as well as I ought to do/expected of me because I shld hv been taught to be good at what I do right?! What if ppl find out I’m really just a useless art grad?! It makes me realize that shame will always find an insidious way to creep into our hearts and tell us we are not enough/we are failures no matter what path we take. But like u said, “the pain of watching myself give up on my dreams far outweighed my fear of failing” 😭❤️

thank you for showing me that as an artist i can choose my own pathway. that i can live my life and create for myself rather than create for a system. an education system that I've never fit well in, that has stripped me of my imagination since i was three years old. a system that i always wanted to escape from. an education system that taught me fear and restrictions rather than freedom and choice. I'm graduating high school this coming year and i have chosen not to attend college.

SO TRUE!!!! thank u thank u thank u. i am sooo tired of people telling me what i should do/society instilling fear, and i got so used to it that while watching this video i feared that i would be told to attend college and try my best to get in despite rejection.

Art school is just one way to end up doing art, and for a lot of my classmates, art school was also a way they found out they didn't want to do art.

Love the effort you put into your videos. Anyone can stick a camera on a tripod in their office and talk to the camera in one location. The fact that you move from setting to setting to tell your story shows that you care about the over all story you are trying to tell.
