TRIP REPORT | JetBlue Airways - A321 - New York (JFK) to Sacramento (SMF) | Even More Space

On December 20, I flew on JetBlue Flight 161 from New York to Sacramento in "Even More Space". I've been taking this flight since I was a kid so it's always nice to film it, even though there are already like 5 other trip reports on my channel from this flight. The ticket price was ridiculously expensive, mainly because it was right around Christmas. However, JetBlue's service doesn't disappoint, and they are very reliable for trans-con flights.

JFK Airport Has A Great Terminal Core.
I love jetBlue, especially their Mint A321s. I’ve flown one from SFO to JFK and back in 2016. The flight attendants were friendly, the service was great, and I could actually sleep!! No wonder jetBlue is so successful.
JetBlue was actually going to go 2x daily SMF-JFK seasonally starting this summer with a 8:30AM departure from JFK and 1PM return from SMF. Equipment was going to be A320 while the redeye departure would remain A321. But of course COVID hit and I doubt JetBlue will be able to follow through on those plans. If aviation picks up again next year, hopefully they will bring the 2nd daily service to SMF. Oh well, but excellent trip report!

I flew JetBlue for the very first time in February 2020. It's a very nice airline. I live in Honolulu, but I was traveling to Washington, DC on a business trip and Hawaiian Airlines has a codesharing agreement with JetBlue out of both New York-JFK and Boston. So I flew Hawaiian/JetBlue outbound HNL-BOS-DCA, and then JetBlue/Hawaiian on the return DCA-JFK-HNL. It was an easy connection on both legs because the airlines share the same terminal. Thanks for posting.
I just flew with Jetblue last weekend from SFO to BOS. Really empty flight though, but very enjoyable. I have always like Jetblue. Great Video. STAY SAFE!!!!

Last summer I was on a a321 to LA on jet blue and I loved it. Jet blue is one of my favorite airlines probably because it inexpensive

I really love JetBlue's flight from New York (JFK) to either Tampa (TPA) or Ft. Lauderdale (FLl)!!!
At least with the a321 you know you can make it across the country. I've heard that smaller aircraft occasionally have to stop to refuel due to strong headwinds.

Dang, they upgraded to an A321 and still had a full flight
Also, you should try Delta’s flight from MSP to MSN it’s a 35min flight on an A321, quite strange, they operate it the first and last flight of the day
DL operates a few routes like that, they also do ATL-JAX (45 minutes) with a lot of 752 service
Delta used to use the 757-200 on this flight, they downgraded :(
Glad that you still have (had?) content to share with us Quintin. Jet Blue does have a freshness that is missing from the legacy carriers in the US. It sure was an expensive flight though!

JetBlue is my favorite carrier in the US, Delta and Southwest tied close second.

Thanks for great flight and review...pretty solid product by the look of things.In the US I avoid United when ever I can as they are possibly the WORST airline to fly with !! 23A is the best seat on the entire aircraft. Flew it twice this summer while I was working for JetBlue! Only downside is the window view :(

JteBlue should be an example to airlines of what inflight entertainment should be..
at 2:42 speaking of tvs, whenever the nebraska cornhuskers are playing football or creighton bluejays are playing basketball, omaha eppley airfield shows sports on the tvs not just the news one time in 2016 was the big ten baseball tournament and Nebraska was playing Indiana in Omaha and that was shown on the tvs not always news but most of the time news early morning flights have news after that day flights just vary
the reason why qfs aviation flies jetblue to Sacramento because he loves that airport in Sacramento plus is a jetblue member and loves flying jetblue especially the snack bar unlimited visits allowed

JetBlue in JFK is terminal 5. & the Airbus 321 with mint flying option looked nothing like this plane when I flew from JFK to California

The latest I heard is passenger traffic is down 90%. Any airline can't afford to fly empty planes forever.
If you look on SeatGuru, they’ll show you all the goods and bads for all the seats on all planes of all the airlines I can think of. For example: if you click on a yellow or red seat, it’s not a great seat, and it will give you a reason why

I see the apartment complex where I live in New York where I live when the aircraft is arriving
$716 is way too expensive. I flew round trip to Boston from SFO for about $300
a321s are so much better than 737s for tall/wide people. 4 exit rows, aisle exit seats have virtually unlimited legroom, and larger fuselage=greater seat width.

Hmmm some of the filming moments seem sketchy how are u able to film if your seat has no proper window.

Good lord $716 for a jetBlue flight that's almost as bad as me foolishly paying $900 for a SWA flight from SLC-JAX in November of 2018, still don't know why I was stupid enough to do that.
You ate the sandwich just before it expired.
Their sandwiches always have next day expiration because they are prepared for same-day consumption.
Yet again a $716 ticket, how do you have this much money to spend on airline tickets? What do you do for a living? It’s not that hard of a question to answer
