    The Origin 315p was the first ship I pledged for, back in 2013. And I still have it in my small fleet of ships. Even though it's kinda broken since 3.23 with parts of the HUD missing, I still love this great ship.

    I feel like the 100 series and 300 series came from the same good idea but built by two different teams, like what happened with the M50 and 85X lol. What I would like to see for the 200 series is a blend of the other 2. Put the 200 between the 100 and 300 in size, give it the AIR system that the 100 has, and have the main shape/body of the ship look like a scaled-up 100 but have the nose/cockpit/skylight and interior more like the 300. Give all the 200s a 4 SCU mini-ramp at the back like the 135c has, but maybe give a cargo variant a double-width ramp of something for 8 SCU? Oh, and make the 200 series a low rider like the 100 series lol. I would like to see a 215p that's a proper pathfinder... so instead of a tractor beam in the nose, it should have enhanced scanners that can scan for jump points and expanded quantum fuel tanks instead of a larger cargo bay like the 315p has. It would be the perfect solo explorer ship for the kind of person that likes to explore in a sight-seeing way but wants to make a little money from any good info they find on their journey lol.

    My 325a has been one of my favourite ships since I bought it back in the Kickstarter days. Scarlet steel, woodgrain trim, and all the extras. I know it's made a mess of the game behind the scenes but I'm looking forward to the days when all the ships get the treatment. I'll be doing it for all of mine.
    I disagree that the 100 series should be cheaper though. As exploration-focused ships from a luxury brand, they're pretty much exactly where they should be. Origin ships should always big bigger, more luxurious, and more expensive than their competitors, both in-game and for real money. They only seem expensive because the 300 series are some of the oldest ships in the game and, AFAIK, they haven't had a price bump. My 325a is the same price in the shop now that it was during the Kickstarter era. Most of the post-Kickstarter era ships have had their prices bumped significantly. What I'd do is bump the 300i to $70, the 315p to $80, and the 325a to $85 or $90. The 350r is already $125, so maybe it could stay there. Are they worth it? Maybe? To add value to the ship, CIG could do something like add an exclusive helmet and undersuit to each of them. The question would be, should the kit be for the series (100 or 300), or for the variants (-00, -15, -25).

    Having jacked a few of these from the 890 Jump mission back in the day, I can attest that is a joy to fly. It also has a tendency to explode when attempting to load loose cargo onto the cargo ramp. But hey, you can't have everything! (where would you put it?)

    Very enjoyable video! Especially liked the cinematic use of depth of field at the beginning. Not a criticism because people like different styles, but I do agree that you could script a little more if you want a more "polished" narration. As for the ship itself, I've enjoyed the 300 series of ships, had a 325 first (which is the one I would recommend now with the current ship balancing) and then a 350r, which I really liked while it was the fastest and most nimble one. Since they made them all equal in 3.23, that kind of feels like I got shafted since I paid for the highest performing model. But so it goes. As daily transportation and light cargo haulers, these ships are perfect; when you get into combat the rear cross section is a bit large and that rear wing tends to get shot off a lot. But it really doesn't do anything anyway, so no great loss there.

    out of all the Origin ships the 300i, 325a and the 400i are the one's I actually like to fly but given the choice of which, 300i has it every time... I also believe all small ships unless they rely on VTOL's or Alien ships, they should have landing wheels instead of struts.... but to fly, the 300 series is amazing.. not too agile and not too sluggish, but a sweet spot in between and can do bounties and box missions, with some decent space in for some cargo too

  • @asiftalpur3758
    @asiftalpur3758 Před 2 měsíci

    I haven't flown the 300i series for extended periods but here are my key takeaways
    sounds incredibly good
    pretty nimble feeling for it's size
    the ladder situation is pretty bad, not that ladders are bad but the brand sells itself as luxury, it's pretty odd having to grab the door sills with your hands to get up and enter the ship proper, not to mention being greeted by the toilet no less.
    the champagne closet is nice but it should have a armor/suit locker there instead
    a extending/retracting seat would've been great near the kitchen counter.
    overall a generally nice ship, a bit dated and needs gold standard but overall a good in game buy should you choose. I just wish it had something going for it over the incredible value that is the Avenger Titan.

    Even the lore for the 100 series explicitly states that it's intentionally less expensive than the 300 series, that they exist as an entry level Origin ship. Their prices both in-game and out of game is absurd. Regarding the 300 the only real issue are the flimsy wings, though I do wish that it'd seat two people.

    • @FrazzleCat
      @FrazzleCat Před 2 měsíci

      and yeah I mentioned in the 100 video that I wasn't sure if I was going to keep the 125a. I didn't. I melted the Invictus paint and used that $5 to bump up to the 315p for no extra money. Spent $4 to give the 315p a nice paint job and a coffee pot.

    i ran with the 315, then 325, i love them a lot, but the interior is so poorly allocated, we don’t need 3 meters of unused countertop lol, they could have shortened the counter and put a suit locker or some other stuff, and the lack of shower with the toilet sucks but idrc about that.
