ODK is open-source software for collecting, managing, and using data in resource-constrained environments. It allows for offline data collection with mobile devices in remote areas. The submission of the data to a server can be performed, when Internet connectivity is available.
A server is a a computer system or program which provides services to other computers called clients. ODK can use any of two web based servers namely: Google Drive Server or ODK Aggregate.

Thank you. To have your list of questions appear in pages, you need to add a column called appearance then use field-list by typing the word "field-list" for each question. If your questions are grouped, then you can add field-list per group instead of each question.

How can I use this tool so that external users fill in the data using a URL, but it is always stored in Google Drive? For example a list of interested in a product or service
In case of customer inquiries, it is easier to use the Google Survey Form to collect data. With ODK, one must install and configure it to the google sheet server, which may be a difficult task to customers. With Google Survey, you just share the URL link in your platforms, so its easier. But in case you must use ODK, you can share the links to the XML and the Google Sheet results form to people by mailing them. Thereafter, they will get the forms by downloading the forms in their ODK COllect apps, fill them and send them using the emails where you sent them. If I got you right, using Google Drive and Google Sheets works better when only one data collector with gmail account that links him or her to the Google Drive. Then it become impossible to share the same with other users, therefore, the reason to adopt Google Form.... If that's the case support we create one google email and use it to access the drive, couldn't that work supposedly the link was shared by any interested parties?
are you able to sync results from multiple data collectors?
Yes, possible. By sharing both the survey and results sheets to emails of the data collectors

I have one issue please, trying to submit my xls form in odk form online but showing me this: Error: The survey sheet is either empty or missing important column headers. i filled the excel sheet well as per your instructions but still meeting the same error. please help me
Hi Joseph. Thanks for feedback and reaching out to us. One of the possible cause is: there is a capital letter in your form, for example, if a column is named Name, it's wrong. It should be name (all letters small). That applies to all other columns. Another possible cause is: You have an empty worksheet with no column headers. Remove any additional worksheet without headers and questions/ choices if any. The last possible cause is using a capital letter in naming your worksheets, for example, you name your worksheet Survey instead of survey. The letter s needs to be small plus the subsequent letters.
