As a biology student and zoology enthusiast i have never had any issue with allowing natural selection to take place and observing rather than interacting, however, in this case, considering the dwindling numbers of rhinos left in the world due to unnatural hunting by humans, i would argue it might actually be a better idea to try and preserve individuals such as this one who are not being hunted or sick, but instead are simply trapped. It’s strange that i’m saying this and i know people will attack me in the comments for even suggesting it, but their numbers are just so low and on the decline, it might be time to try and rescue some of them.

Stunning wildlife interaction. Looked more like this was a rhino ,not in a great hurry to get out of his afternoon bath, having not much to fear from lions,..rather then "being stuck"..... Love how these rhinos are able to make such quick turns......very agile tanks.....
That rhino was very smart in the situation. He could see the lions were scared of him because of his horn and even while he was stuck he would get closer to the closest lion, knowing they would get scared and back up. Also once out he kept going in circles to make sure he had a clear view of each lion and charged at them to scare them off. All in all he used their own fear against them. Good footage! :D

Stunning wildlife interaction. Looked more like this was a rhino ,not in a great hurry to get out of his afternoon bath, having not much to fear from lions,..rather then "being stuck".....
Love how these rhinos are able to make such quick turns......very agile tanks.....
That rhino was very smart in the situation. He could see the lions were scared of him because of his horn and even while he was stuck he would get closer to the closest lion, knowing they would get scared and back up. Also once out he kept going in circles to make sure he had a clear view of each lion and charged at them to scare them off. All in all he used their own fear against them. Good footage! :D
When the guy says " Come on Boy" it made me feel like it's his pet. 😭
I love how in the end they just stare at eachother awkwardly like: "Well... you guys cant atack me... i cant atack you... lets forget about this"

But for the lions turning up, I am not sure the rhino would have had the brains to move away from the area it was stuck in. The longer it stayed there, the worse its predicament became. Ironic that those who came to kill it saved it's life.

@Tlay Tlay I highly doubt that, if they used a lot of team work and attrition or the Rhino was exhausted or sick then possibly, but I doubt that they could rip apart a Rhino, a Rhino can accidentally injure things just by turning its head, it has a massive freaking spike on the end of its face after all.

Normally, I'm all for the predator in these videos, and the No Human Interference rule, but in this case, I was rooting for the Rhino or for a Jeep to pull up and chase off the lions. The Rhino is just a little too critically endangered to let even one die.

I love how the lions are trying to help the rhino and then when the rhino finally gets out they all start playing together in celebration. Mammals are such naturally loving and caring creatures that helping other species is routine. ☺

+Vladimir Ceh to be honest, I don't think stating where this is would help at all. But I want to respect my community as that's what they have asked for. I think more good people will know where rhinos are than bad, thus making it harder for the poachers to hide if they were to do anything, but I'm happy not to take that chance.

There's no way those three "teenage boys" could have killed the rhino, unless it exhausted itself and was already drowning. You can't choke-hold a rhino, nor can you easily pierce its skin while its still alive to resist you.
