Last week I uploaded a showcase of my biggest project and I hope you enjoyed it! So it was just a showcase, 'cause I wanted to show it to you guys so bad!
But... We need to learn as well! So in this video I explain how I started the project, why I made it and I tell a bit about how I made it.
Enjoy!

Let's get crafting!
You are the Master of Foambuilding. Many thanks for your videos. Very inspiring and helpful.
Amazing! So much creativity! I can't wait to see it complete :)
Simply Awesome ...
Super cool! Looking forward to seeing this build.
Hierin kun je je echt verliezen als ernaar kijkt. Schitterend mooi.
Beautiful work
Looks awesome
just so awesome
Really thrilled by THE Project. Can't wait to see the episodes. 🤩🤩
Right on, Ge. Looks great! How about a blacksmith shop in the new outer ring? - Rick, USMC
großartig, ich freu mich auf mehr davon 👍
I am a little bit disappointed.
I thought you've built the whole Minas Tirith in this scale and not a part of it, only.
...
😂
Seriously: Awesome work!
Thank you very much for sharing it to us! 👍🏼🤜🏼🤛🏼❤️
that is incredible
This is fantastic!
About the street, I think will be more visually interesting and realistic to have them branching only on one side of the main one.
About the building, one of my main concern about such a city is how do they get water. Maybe you should have fountains, wells, stone tanks and aqueduct (in addition to your sewer).
Thanks a lot for your input! Much apreciated and will surely do somethng with your feedback.
Looks awesome Gerrard. I loved it when you made the first video on this one and am really glad you came back to explain more on this build. I think you addressed some of this in this video, but I would love to see a video or more on the actual planning of such a big build such as this. I know you started with the one building, but how did you go about planning the other buildings, what things did you keep in mind to make such a build modular so you can take it down and store it in your boxes and then set it up when you want. I think some videos on the overall drafting the plans to execution would be a great watch. I can hear you now....I just made it up as I went. LOL Which I guess all my suggestions would be a moot point. Anyway, this was fun to watch and look forward to your future videos on this build. It really is epic. Cheers!!
Thanks a lot for your reply and your suggestions.
I will kst certainly shoot content about the building process.
Ge, this is freaking fantastic! Can't wait to see more! Thanks for sharing your masterpiece with us! 🥳
cool !
I have to source thicker XPS foam, the thickest I can get currently is 2 inch (which is NOT cheap $60 currently at Lowes in USA). Were I attempt such an epic build I would probably go with a hardboard substructure covered with 1 inch XPS just to save money (1/8 4x8 sheet of hardboard is $14). Your builds are amazing and incredibly inspiring! I am excited to see where you go from here! :)
Our Lord of the Foam❤
Have you thought about using Sculptamold to cover the seam? This is an immense scene already, after the expansion and extra detail it's gonna look incredible!
Thanks for the input, I think I will mostrly try and hide seams by placing structures in front of them.
But where that is not possible I might go for something like that.
*_I mean, this is fantastic, but why not make the entire Minas Tirith, or is making sections at a time the goal?_*
I added the next ring and it size at least doubles.
Its is alreay getting realy big so I think I will decide a possible expansion after I finished this huge part.
Succes!!
