Can’t wait until they travel to Germany for a 9th division game in a field. It’s what we’re all here for 🙌
Eintracht Cuxhaven vs TSV Lamstedt coming up
I sure wasn't. But I sure am now!
Portugal is better. Better food, better weather and better non league parks. Why watch a match that’s been played in a field when you can watch one played in dirt. At a mid week day.
The park is in my village, but now belongs to our rivals. My grandpa built it with his friends

Would love to see this made into a full series, stayed in Widnes when Cardiff played Liverpool in the FA Cup last season and was wondering what Widnes were doing with a massive stadium, turns out they share it with a rugby team - the more you know! Also loving the Ben Gibbs content as usual up the awaydays
Agree with this - love these ideas. Blind/left handed/Jodie’d dart to football paradise
And we'd love to be a part of it!
The Vikings and football team are as bad as each other
Big up the Bluebirds
@@danclaytonNFFC never used to be so bad the Vikings
You clearly attended this game to push the attendance record to a new level. Well done boys!
Record home attendance: 630 vs. Macclesfield, Northern Premier League Division One West, 2 January 2023 (club record)
MASSIVE!
Widnes is my home town! The stadium is pretty empty as it’s mostly a rugby town. The Widnes Viking uses to be a major team but have struggled financially recently. I’m pretty sure Liverpool and Everton women’s teams train there sometimes too. The park / field across from the stadium is where I played games with my childhood football team.
Good knowledge, thank you!
Great video mate 👏🏻
Thanks mate! 🤝🤝
Hello matt, how is your dad?
@@awaydaysfootballI've downloaded omada app and subscribed but haven't receivey free shirt
100% agree that felt like an old school away day. I understand sometimes they dont perform as well but I would love to see more for the rest of the season.
This one has blown up
This is my favorite video in a while. Super authentic Ellis, so funny, fairly chill. Great one mate. Love this content. Support football communities all over. Hoping to see a European version then an American version next time you come stateside.
Thank you Robert!
@@awaydaysfootball come back to Lincoln city again
Hi Ellis, I used to steward the rugby league games at the DCBL. I was born in widnes too. I never knew they even had a football team. The stadium is built on the old Naughton Park Rugby ground that the council bought when the rugby team ran into financial difficulties. The council rent it out to lots of teams. Elton John played their too. Music obviously would love to see Elton take a rugby tackle.
Love this format lads, back to basics. Bens darts dungeon is impressive too
Old school Awaydays episode! Love it. More please!
Great to see the away days style content back as someone who’s been watching since the Lowestoft, gorleston etc days 😂 European version of this would be class!
All the world cup stuff was class but this was the best in a while. Vintage Awaydays, more of this, make it a series
Great to see a video like this, these are the videos that I’ve enjoyed watching since I first came across AwayDays. The shirt videos just aren’t for me, but I appreciate some folks enjoy them and it provides a greater variety of content
The macclesfield manager is mark duffy.. played for sheffield united in the championship promotion season. Scoring a vital goal in the 4-2 steel city derby at hillsborough. Known as the ‘bounce slayer’ ;)
No duffy is our interim assistant manager and Neil Danns is out interim manager
@@leenewton1322 ah i see, i just remember seeing he went to manage there. And recognised him wearing the canada goose
Class video Ellis. Old school. Make it a full series! 👊
Enjoyed this very much, can't wait to see more challenges for AwayDays :)
Loved the concept Ellis! Really good to see something different! Keep it up mate
LOVE this style of content. More please!
Bloody hell that was class! More of this mate 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Love this! I always do things like this in my country for college sports teams. So fun to go to different places for different experiences!
Love the video Ellis. The stadium is used for the local rugby league team and i’ve played there once. Hope to see more stuff like this in the future
Been watching for years, got proper OG awaydays vibes from this one, loved it
Those in the UK are so lucky that you can travel anywhere in the country and catch an organized game of soccer basically whenever. Here in the USA and New York for me specifically, it has grown but not at the point yet where we can travel to a stadium and catch an organized game like this unless it's NYCFC. Hopefully someday more divisions and relegation/promotion are put into place here.
Great watch...keep up the good stuff dude
Great video Ellis, you should definitely do a Europe version!
I’ve missed this style of video. More of this please! 🙂
Buzzing for this type of content Ellis, you certainly did seem to be enjoying making it! Hopefuly next time there's actually a club shop to see how many random kits you can pick up :D
Very happy to see old
Fashioned away days!!!!! So fun!!
Finally a video like the ones that made me subscribe to you pre-Covid. This was top tier.
This is proper Ellis! I love this mate :)
Such a great idea mate! Can´t wait for the Europe teams video! Happy new year
Bigger ground than Bournemouth!
Great video! Keep up the good work
Nice Idea for an video! Thanks Ellis for your nice YT Videos
This is a cool series keep those videos out and hopefully you go international with this series ❤❤❤
Amazing video, is this the first episode of this series? Loved it!
This was amazing ! Reminded me of the time when my dear Estrela da Amadora had its main team in the last division of Lisbon football. Lower league football is so charismatic!
I think you and Ben thoroughly enjoyed that match besides the travel time to get there. Both of you were trying to be menaces. Lol can't wait to see the future videos and new ideas.
Loved this video Ellis
Class video
More of these and old-school style away days! Love the randomness
🤝🤝🤝
Loved this as a Widnes fan 😂
For context, it may be worth sharing that the football team are in the eighth tier of the English football system, compared to their much bigger rugby counterparts who they ground share with. And Macclesfield FC are the phoenix club formed after Macclesfield Town would up while in the fifth tier (National League), having won promotion from the nineth tier at the first attempt.
This explains the disparity in support between the clubs and this level of backstory make this video more interesting for me.
The lad in a Canada goose jacket is mark duffy. Blades legend
🐐⚔⚔⚔
Brilliant video and good to see you covering non league football again! Was amused by your assessment of Savage that he is an extremely divisive character. Having first hand experience from working with him for 6 months when I was filming for Macclesfield I have nothing but positives to say about him behind the scenes and on a one-to-one level, but on the sidelines as he can rub people the wrong way. As for Macclesfield’s number 11 (James Berry) who scored the hattrick, watch out for him, he’s an unreal talent and will be playing in the EFL within the next 2 seasons, mark my words!
Make this a full series. Would be awsome to see other places all over the world!
Old school content, danger and comedy. What more could we want!
Love this Ellis
Hope this becomes a series. Too good 😅👌🏼
Bigger stadium than Bournemouth!
Simple but enjoyable.
Great to see you and Ben travelling around the UK to watch football matches again. I missed this kind of videos
Glad you enjoyed it
@@awaydaysfootball Come down to Harpenden if you ever renew the series our fans have become famous in our league for abusing each and every player and official
this video was awesome, I can't wait to see you guys do an away day for the 5th tier in Italy or the 3rd tier in Belgium or something it'll be an instant classic!
That’s the hope!
Very entertaining Ellis, great to see lower league teams getting exposure!
class video lads! 👏🏻
Back to old school, loved it
Great video. Look forward to seeing the European version too!
Happy that you've found success in other areas, however THIS is the content that I remember subbing to!
Would love to see this challenge become a series!
Can we see some more of these!? So so good mate
Great video more!!!

Thats omada downloaded. Top vid buddy
Love your way to present the clubs. Also like your sponsor, i usef to be a problem gambler. Your vids are refreshing. Cheers and greetz from Finland.
Class video ellis agreed with what you said in the end
I'm not big into football at all, but enjoyed the idea and the video. Would love to follow this as a series.
Love this concept !! Good way to see different clubs you never thought of seeing 😊. Do a vid where you throw a dart and you have to go there and hunt for a shirt (no cities )
Good idea too!
This will be a good series
Great great great video as usual, European version would be sick!
Banger
🤝🤝🤝
This is the kind of content that originally got me to subscribe. You and Ben going to lower league matches. Loved this video.
Glad you enjoyed!
Love this great idea What app do you use to find games?
great vid, new subscriber!!
Extra love for the clip “You just knew that was going to happen!”
This needs to hit 4000 likes need more of this great video
Fantastic video
Stand up, if you love the darts!
Ben's dart dungeon is 🔥
Ellis you always make quality content, but this felt like such a laugh. Genuinely had a proper giggle watching this
Here’s me thinking you were gonna end up in some mad location I’d never heard of. Instead you ended up half an hour away, hold tight the north west leagues 👏🏻
It's Widnes Rugby League stadium, they share it. 😆 Great video concept! Downloaded Omada finally. Keep up the good work ⚽
Awesome! Thank you!
Love this. I would totally do the same in Australia.... however it's a 3 hour plane ride to Perth... imagine.
Missed out an opportunity for some Vauxhall Motors FC action there, Ellis!
More of this very good vid
yay, classic away days content :) even a ben gibbs hahaha :) loved it
Aaa, DCBL Stadium is a rugby ground.
Glad you enjoyed!!
Class video as always Ellis.happy new year mate.for the record..I’m a Birmingham fan and I still think Robbie Savage is a colossal bell end 😂
Please come to Australia! I’m a VICTORY FAN
Bigger than Bournemouths stadium and they’re in the prem 😂
Unreal isn’t it?!
Great video and a very decent stadium. Widnes once beat Australia at that ground but that was Rugby League
Did you enjoy it glad you came widnes game hopefully come again when we win
Solid video as always Enderman
Cheered when you hit Widnes... used to live there and been to the stadium a few times. Thanks for a trip down memory lane
First time watching and I am a Macclesfield fan!
