  • Welcome to Part 3 of my video series on the B&T APC223 Semi Auto rifle
Join me on Patreon for additional content: / armandgun
Why I ask for support through Patreon:
I love the firearms community and am thrilled to be able to give back to it by way of producing content for it. I want to both continue my pace of content production as well as improve its quality, all while adding to its diversity (shooting for accuracy videos, destructive target testing, high speed / slow motion, etc).
Appearances aside, I am not just some rich guy with a ton of guns. I had a good job and ideal set of circumstances for a few years that allowed me to invest heavily in building up a sizeable collection. Those circumstances are changing, and now I am turning to the community to help continue to make this channel exciting and successful. Your help and support are greatly appreciated.
All funds received by CZcams (very insignificant as firearms videos are largely demonetized) and by supporters via Patreon are to be reinvested into this channel in the following ways:
    - Purchase and import of new feature firearms/gear: Being in Canada, it is often difficult for manufacturers/distributors to send me firearms for testing and review. Instead, I often have to purchase them personally, and in some cases even import them into the country.
    - Ammunition: It takes funds to run the guns enough to be able to get a good overall impression for an accurate review.
    - Production value: I am always looking to add better camera and lighting gear to be able to improve the final product you see.
    - Range and targets: from more static steel targets, to future destructive target testing.
    - Travel to distributors/manufacturers/industry shows to get the content on the latest and greatest

This video is part of a multi-video set featuring the B&T APC223
Part 1: Intro to the APC223
Part 2: POV Shooting (FPS style shooting video showing the gun in action, demonstrating the controls and ergonomics of the rifle, as well as any modifications I have done to the gun)
Part 3: Disassembly and review of key internal features
Part 4: Outfitting your APC223 as a DMR, Combat rifle, and PDW.
Part 5: Overview of the firearm including design detail, function and features
Part 6: Barrel Change on the APC223
Part 7: Shooting for Accuracy with the APC223
Thanks for tuning in! Lots more coming. I would appreciate your subscription as I hope to improve the level of content as the channel grows.
    Correction Section:
    APC223 Technical Specs:
    - Calibre: .223 (5.56mm)
    - Operating: Locked, rotating bolt, gas piston operated
    - Modes of fire: Semi auto only
    - Magazine Capacity: 5 - 20 (only 5 in Canada due to restrictive magazine limit laws)
    - Sights: B&T flip up sights
    - Barrel Length: 10.4" // 264mm
    - Barrel Twist: 1:9" // 229mm
    - Overall Length min/max: 21.89"/30.24" // 556/768mm (with factory folding stock installed)
    - Weight with flip up sights and 30 round mag): 8.15# // 3.7kg
    - Muzzle Device: B&T 2 Chamber Muzzle Brake
The APC223 is considered Non-Restricted based on barrel length, meaning that with a 18.5"+ barrel it is legal to own with a PAL and can be shot wherever it is legal to discharge firearms. The Bustmaster ACR sitting next to the APC223 is in the same category. The S&W TRR8 bonus gun at the end and APC223 SBR are all restricteds. The revolver, because it is a handgun and therefore automatically restricted, and the APC223 because it has a barrel shorter than 18.5". They both require a RPAL to possess and in addition to being registered in a federal database, have addition storage, transport, sale, and discharge restrictions.

In fact I don't believe you would even have to remove the pin to install an auto sear and trigger. Although I'm sure it would be more convenient.

Arm&Gun unfortunately I’ve read a ton of complaints about this firearm, particularly light primer strikes and jams. One guy on CGN even claimed both his & his friends APC 223’s had to be sent back for repairs.. which is sad considering this gun costs $4000, you would think it would be absolutely flawless. All of B&T’s products are amazing, but the APC is the only one I’ve seen people complain about. It seems like B&T only cares about their SMG’s, Hopefully they invest some time to fix all the flaws with the upcoming Pro model.
