- Getting rid of our last two stroke and running two four strokes now. Putting a trapper box using the linq attachment system... pretty easy, economical and solid!
- Krátké a kreslené filmy
I have Expedition 900 ace and I love it, the Tundra’s are a nice machine for the trails.
Fancy machine!
I think we will like it. First trip today.
Know a few of these that had to be slung out of remote traplines with a helicopter because of electrical problems that couldnt be fixed in the bush. Im still running two strokes and will as long as they are available. Ran into a guy last year bison hunting that had the gears in the oil pump strip on his 900 ace when he started it in cold weather. He had to get towed out and warranty wouldnt cover it.
You need to run extreme cold weather oil in the ACES in cold weather. It flows nicely to -60C. They have been dead reliable machines for my friends and I here in the Yukon.
@@north61 I also know guys that have had great luck with the 4 strokes here in Yukon. They are certainly easier on fuel! But they can have electrical problems and when they do it can leave you stranded if you’re alone like I often am. The fuel filters are another item that can be an issue in the bush. It’s a big job to change them. The fellow I ran into last year with the oil pump problem was running the oil they recommended. Love your box setup. Much more durable than the plastic ones they sell. I generally agree that they are great sleds especially if you are doing weekend trips with friends but for serious bush travel like remote traplines there is nothing like a simple 2 stroke engine.
@@davidofarrell4363 I always felt I could fix the common problems on my two stroke. The Aces are more complex and if it does break down I probably just start walking!!!!
I'm jealous. Also jealous of that amazing sled you tow that thing is super durable fabricated
My buddy makes the skimmers. They are pretty great.
Good info. 👍
That same engine is used in the Can-am rykers
Just put my money down on the exact machine ! Sweet set up sir!
I am loving it!
@@north61 keep us posted! Thanks!
@@southernrootsalaskanbranches7 Working on a video regarding first 13 hours. Like this more than the Skandic!
@@north61 Awesome!! I'm glad to hear that! Thought about the skandic but I like the more narrow tundra for trapping personally. Looking forward to that video! Thank you sir!
My brother has a 900 renegade but I’m really thinking about the Tundra LT 600 ace for the exploring and poking around that I prefer. Looking forward to more Tundra ace vids.
just came back from an 80KM maiden run. I am ecstatic about this machine!
Just put a deposit on a 2024 order. Hope they have a 900ace expedition in 2024. Know in a week.
I went to do the same and someone had just told my dealer they didn't want to follow through on the Tundra they put a deposit on last year. I got lucky.
Definitely on the fence between the 600ace for next year or the 600efi with a pull start in the tundra lt. How is the extreme cold starting in the ace? I have a trapline out west of Whitehorse and I would hate to have something not start in -35, thus the option of the pull start on the 600efi…
We have found them good at -35C BUT... I started running two batteries with the second on an Anderson plug so that you can unplug it and bring it in to a warm place. A really good jump-pack is another option. Last year 4 of us were out at -40C overnight and we all got started in the AM. amazing really.
See any Chinese balloons overhead?
The 358 Norma is great but it only is effective at 5000 feet or lower... I'll need to start towing something bigger.
