I would've liked to see Hatch return for WaW, even though it was obviously impossible. It seems wrong to have an all-winners season without the OG winner.

Richard Hatch, hes the one who got it all started, he invented the game all these other winners are playing. Its just wrong not to have him there. Sucks he never returned after All-Stars. They could’ve just added a no nudity rule and he would’ve been fine. Chris Daugherty is one of my favourite winners aswell, and Jeff still has a grudge on him for voting his ex. Yeesh.

boot order was kinda inevitable, glad we got to see a decent amount of rob and parvati though
I feel old, I was hoping for an old school player to win especially Ethan. He was amazing in his season

Boot order was tragic but then still getting screen time kinda saved it. Rob played terrible sadly but man I fell in love with Ethan.

Bob Crowley was already old when he played in Gabon. They probably thought he was too old to play again. But it’s total crap that they didn’t contact Vecepia about a spot in the cast.
Mad respect for Bob for wanting to come out and play again despite his age. He would've been like 65 at the time winners at war filmed
they've had older ones than Bob participate in this show, I kinda feel like the age thing is a crap reason not to cast him again.

I've heard that Jeff didn't like her season and especially didn't like her, so if his personal bias came into play then that could be why.
Secret 26 is so cute. Ethan and Parv's friendship is so pure. I wish we could see them interact in the game again but I know Ethan's said he's done for good.

14 was interesting to me. There's this heartwarming moment in season 40 where Michelle talks about how she got backlash on her win not being "deserved" and Rob saying If you win, then you win that's it. Which was really nice. I wonder if he meant that about himself since I'm sure he's heard people criticize his win and he himself though happy to win feeling the same since his competition wasn't that strong. Regardless of the competition he still played an amazing game, it just made for a slow season. I really wish Rob made it further in HvV, I feel like he could have won more immunities and with an intact alliance he had a decent chance to have made it to the end and even won since he was trying to be a nicer guy and people seemed to like him more.
Mt Rushmore of survivor has to be: Tony, Boston Rob, Parvati, Sandra.
I always figured that he’d probably said that to Amber over the years because a lot of people discredit her all stars win.
I would have loved Rob to go further in HvV as well, or at LEAST gone further than Russell Hantz 😢 I liked his win in the RI season, he still won the challenges when he had to and I don't think we can under estimate what (who) he had to tolerate to get to the end.

Kim and Sophie a duo I didn't want but now need in my life.
I am still mad at the poor edit Danni received in _Winners at War._ I get that it didn’t affect Tony’s winner story, but Jeremy targeting her to safe himself was indeed important to the 2nd episode.
That's super interesting considering that Ponderosa shows how close they became.
It's also just good gameplay on Jeremy's part and a really easy way to explain her elimination in a succinct edit so like, why whip something out of nowhere instead? The material is right there in front of you.

Shout out to Rob Has a Podcast for all of the Survivor content they push out into the world. So many interviews get new information and perspectives, as is attested by this video.
They have been picking up the slack for what Survivor used to do themselves. On the older seasons, CBS did all of this.

I feel like they should do a live reunion show for everyone as they couldn't do it that year due to everything happening, like make it a special out of it, because these are all veteran legends of Survivor and they deserve 1.

@@jasondw2281 CBS won't pay for it. They historically have only done reunions as soon as the season is done. It needs to make monetary sense to make a Winners at War reunion and it no longer does.

With the story from Sandra that both Rob and herself was asked while on the island during 39 lines up to the speculation with what happened to Tina and Hatch.
According to Hatch, Tina and him were just a day from flying out but both were cut last minute.
It could be possible, that they were the unofficial alternate or more likely...
1) After the events on 39 CBS decided to cut Hatch. As the events with Dan would be about the time Sandra and Rob was flying back home before leaving again.
2) Needing a new male player they contacted, Underwood the newest winner but he turned it down.
3) Desperate for a last minute Male they asked Rob a second time, and agrees if Amber comes too.
4) Amber takes Tina's place on the cast.
Apparently Adam was the alternate for Richard Hatch. Also I feel they would have cut a different female instead of Tina such as Michele Denise or Sophie to make room for Amber

However many of the female winners kinda slide into the mom character thus Tina was likely cut for that over Denise who play differently

It's a brilliant listen overall, but honestly her talking about how she had started to work out and make arrangements and stuff and them cutting her like nothing is just heartbreaking.

I read an article that said producers felt they've seen all JT had to offer after his diminishing returns from HvV and Game Changers. (Which is why he wasn't invited back)
It makes sense though because why give JT a spot when there are players like Yul who haven’t played again yet
I'm not saying that this is true, but I seem to remember Russell Hantz saying that JT would never be invited back because he got high during his last Ponderosa.

This year swedens survivor actually took place in northern Sweden due to Covid. Not Antarctic cold it was in the summer but a long way from Fiji warmth.

And same with Rob except he didn’t even win his first time out I think you realistically need to be a winner to be on the Mount Rushmore

Hatch literally invented the game the people you mentioned are playing, hes automatically at least an honourable mention, and Cesternino was the first person to go back and forth between alliances and only lost the last challenge. Hatch had no chance in All-Stars because he was a winner and was immediately targeted and not even given a chance. Whats Sarah Kim and Jeremy done? I dont wanna be disrespectful but your points are pretty invalid. You cluld say the same for Sandra after HVV and Kim, they’ve had bad performances too. And both never even got a chance to play again.
@@sonicplushycentral6818 Jeremy played a literal perfect game in probably the second hardest season to win (besides WAW) Kim also played basically a perfect game in a Boston Rob type way while it only being her first time and Sarah is besides Tony the best player ever and playing the middle. I also don’t really like super old school survivor like season 1-6 it’s boring and it feels like only a couple players are even there to win so the early wins don’t feel deserved as much even tho I think Rich is still a great player easily top 15 probably top 10

It's really upsetting they never told Sandra she'd make the jury. I get it's supposed to be "twisty" but she's never been on the jury and that's a lot of peoples goals. I want to see her return but it doesn't seem likely. But holding out hope she does and she makes the jury if she doesn't accidentally win the whole season (queen stays queen after all)

Oh it's also Rob's fault for Amber being the first boot. Pregame Rob told Amber to never trust Sandra and get her out ASAP. While Sandra felt lied to when Rob said he wouldn't be on.
This lead to a chain reaction on Dakal where members of the Poker Alliance (Kim, Tyson, and Amber) were isolated. Likely if Sandra and Amber could trust each other early that tribe's Dominant Alliance could of been Tyson, Kim, Amber, Sandra, Tony, Sarah, Sophie with Yul, Nick, and Wendell on the bottom.

@@junsong9581 I actually think without Rob she would have done really well. Everyone in the cast gave her a round of applause after the final Edge challenge. She's a babe, doesn't care, has 4 gorgeous daughters and beat her husband fair and square on the first All Stars. Also I rewatched it and she orchestrated far more than most realize-- She pulled Big Tom in to get rid of Rob C and made the deal with Kathy for final 4 when she was swap screwed-- not just Rob and Lex.

I like this year when they limited the hidden immunity idols. There were too many in recent years such that it took,away from players having to work harder on strategy.

I think the reason why Cochran said no was that he is a writer for some shows on CBS and he felt they might sabotage for him to win the season
I am not always a big fan of returning players seasons, especially returning - returning - returning players. I did enjoy this season for the most part. I was not a fan of the timing of the return of Natalie. We knew someone was coming back but to come back in so close to the end with an immunity.

I actually also prefer starting with 3 tribes, and then swapping to two tribes later on, as that shakes up the game better, and allow some that are just excluded from one tribe to make new connections pre-merge.

Rich was more sophomoric frat boy behavior whereas Dan belongs on a sexual predator list. I still think Rich should have been removed from the game immediately though whereas Dan should have been thrown in jail.

People heard Jeff say Ben is his favorite winner and took that to mean that he thinks Ben is the best winner. Thats clearly not what he means. He's happy to see the show become more than just a reality TV show about a bunch of people betraying each other and to see good, real stories play out. Love him or hate him, Ben is the exemplar of that kind of "its more than a show, it changes lives" idea.

Maybe they dont want people of certain age there courtesy of V and Bob.
Im half Bulgarian and an older man from one of our seasons had a stroke during a challenge and passed away.
Could maybe give them Bob as he would've been one of the oldest to ever play if he had returned (though Rudy and Joe Del Campo were several years older than him during their seasons), but Vecepia is several years younger than Janet, who had just played on Island of the Idols, so to dismiss her immediately due to her age doesn't make a ton of sense. Plus, they go through a ton of medical checks pre-season, so if anyone was at any serious risk of having something like that happen they probably would've failed the medical check. I think the more likely explanation is that they simply had winners they were more interested in than those two.
