Thank you UD Racing for the match stats! www.tennisbull.com/match/2894
Thanks! Let's play sometimes
Chronic Pain most have some good pain meds to play those long rallies. The opening game had 6 deuces and was 18 points long - that's like winning a super tiebreak 10:8. I checked against my 200+ match database and it was the longest opening game ever!
If you look at the match chart you'll see that at 3:3 Chronic Pain just ran away with the match. He won 9/45 points and the next 9 games in a row.
I really like his game style, he plays very patient, defends well but can hit winners from the baseline and also converts well at the net, winning 10/14 there.
Maybe his nickname isn't because he has chronic pain but he is a chronic pain to play against 🤣
I hope we see more of him in 2023
Gotta hand it to these guys - two of the best Troll names ever.
nice match, I could see CP being a Chronic Pain in the azz for the other 4.5s in that area, consistent solid player
Very enjoyable match to watch, well done to both players.
The most impressive thing is that this was an official USTA match in Atlanta with clean line calls.
14:02 was a generous call - but if you can't see it clearly you can't call it out.
19:08 was close but looked out when you go frame by frame with , . keys
Lol
Being on camera tends to make one see those lines a little clearer….. generally speaking:)
And every serve by blue sweater is a foot fault! Is there a rule that says if you’re going to foot fault that much you should just be defaulted?
@@clarencelim212 in tournaments they will call it and players correct and it usually doesn’t happen again. He likely doesn’t know he’s foot faulting (he’s looking up at the ball).
CP chronic foot faulting on ad side serves :(
CP foot faults on every serve to the AD court.
Don't be the foot fault guy in the comments.
Never be the meme.
GG's follow-through on his serve is interesting. His racquet head is right between his legs and almost hits the ground!
Wow, I really like CP’s game overall. His serve form is very smooth. I like the way GG hits through his backhand, but it looks like he tired out after the first set. I feel that fighting to win that first game set the tone for CP to get the victory. Thanks for posting.
I usually think the first game is the least important if the match but may not have been in this match. May have been the most important as you said.
Really high quality match. GG kind of mentally gave up in the second set unfortunately. You can tell CP has a ton of match experience with a very polished net game. Maybe the best overall volleying and overhead of anyone I have seen on this channel. Would like to see TT vs CP...that would be a very good match.
That was an impressive level from both players. I think this is close to 5.0 level in my opinion. Entertaining match for sure!!!
Nice backhand of GG and smart gane of CP
CP has a sweet slice. He keeps it really low but doesn’t net it much.
Super solid players.
These names sure do crack you up. I think each of the tennis trolls deserve their custom t shirts.
THIS CHANNEL NEEDS MORE VIEWWWSSSSSS... COME ON GUYS lets boost Tennis Troll agaiinn
We have some new videos coming up in spring that isn’t being done on other channels (that I know of). Stay tuned and thank you for supporting our channel.
That had to be the longest opening game in Troll history. How fitting.
Believe UD Racing looked it up using his timeline with his stats and agreed.
Nice match. The only thing wrong with this video is the pickle ball lines.
CP has a terrific all around game! Very enjoyable to watch and nice demeanor!
GG has the game to challenge him IMO but got down more mentally than physically.
Not to say the result changes, but these courts are pretty slow which I think favored CP and hurt GG.
CP can correct me if wrong, but I think he has been bumped to 5.0. If not, he’s definitely bordering on it.
I’d sit front row for a TT vs CP match!
I would sit on the sideline for a TT vs CP match.
If this is 4.5 then I understand some of the comments questioning the 4.5 rank of other players on the channel. The quality looks very high. Rallies are long and by no means soft. CP has the more solid game still. Great match.
I agree. Actually, I wouldn’t be surprise if CP is bumped to 5.0 in the future.
Is this a competition to see who manages even one game without foot fault? While GG steps on the white line every serve, Chronic essentially has his entire foot INSIDE the blue area! Nobody bothered to call even one foot fault in this "official" USTA league match?!
There are no refs. The players likely don’t realize they are foot faulting.
@@TennisTrollChannel I understand, it's just interesting that such a high level player who arguably has had many match experiences, is not just foot faulting a little but quite often has his entire foot INSIDE the white line... Other than that his stroke and movements are great though.
@@majormajor9672 my guess from past experiences with other players is they haven’t seen themselves on video. In matches, it’s too far away for the opponents to notice.
Chronic Pain sounds like JCVD movie from 1998.
This guy can ball! 5.0 by most accounts
CP & MEP should play a match!!!!! 😁
I need more battery power : ]
I was about to say this too. It will probably be a long match.
Feels like the match should have been closer but Pain was just more consistent overall.
A couple of observations. Pain foot-faulted a lot, not that it mattered much. Big Shot seemed like he was letting the ball get behind him on most forehands which affected his consistency. Also, he never took a split-step when returning serve and also didn't on some other shots, as well. He's quick enough that it didn't hurt him too much, though....
Would be interested in a rematch...
The foot faulting does matter though. None of those serves would count, he’d be double faulting and getting broken consistently.
I'm very interested in how these guys get their nicknames like what their backstories are
Nicknames usually describes the player’s style of play or it’s a nickname they always had.
Good backhand of the guy with sweater
Isn’t to hot to play like that?
December is pretty mild most of the time in our area. It’s tolerable.
So nice sunny day to play
CP foot faults every time
Both very scrappy players, able and willing to play long rallies. GG looked fairly gassed in the second set and started making many more unforced errors as he felt the pressure to but the ball away early. Chronic Pain has excellent ball placement and was often dictating points, forcing GG to play on the run and hit those loopy backhands that he could easily put away. It’s possible he should’ve been trying to get to the net earlier or trying to bring chronic pain in to the net so he could pass or lob him. Both player’s service game could use some work-they seem to lose a lot of forward momentum by falling away from the ball when they serve
