Cute cute! Question...do you need the ball jar to be open at the end so heat dissipates when lit?

Great question! I don't know. It may depend on the lightbulb wattage. I'm thinking if the lightbulb itself doesn't need to be vented, the jar shouldn't need to be either. I'll see if I can find a definitive answer though and let you know. ❤

I agree...it might be if the wattage is low enough it would be ok...I mean those jars are meant for boiling in water when canning...but it would make you feel better to be safe! The Ball Chandeliers I have seen have the bottoms cut out...its good to check it Bonnie!
