Unconventional Students at Rice: Tara Simpson-Sullivan Hammers Home Victory

Tara Simpson-Sullivan ’24 came to Rice from Penrith, England, seeking academic and athletic challenges. At Rice, she was a Hanszenite majoring in Sport Management.
Tara placed 8th in the hammer throw in Fayetteville, Arkansas, at the NCAA West First Round Regionals Track and Field Meet, advancing to the NCAA Outdoor Championships for the fourth consecutive season. This also marks her seventh trip to the NCAA Championships overall.
