  • Breaking News! 2025 Nissan Patrol: Global Debut and What It Means for Fans
Exciting news for Nissan Patrol fans: the much-anticipated 2025 model has been teased for the first time. Worldwide showrooms should see this new model within the next year as it gets ready for debut; however, when it will arrive in Australia is still up in the air, with rumours indicating it could take a few years, just like the Y62 before it. According to Nissan, the new four-wheel drive vehicle will be unveiled and sold in certain international markets during the 2024 Japanese fiscal year. An important change for this model is the replacement of the larger 5.6 L V8 with a more compact and powerful twin turbocharged V6 engine. Previously seen in the high-end Infiniti QX80, this new engine boasts 336 KW of power and better fuel economy. Features like a full-width rear light bar and tall LED headlights and taillights were shown in the future model preview of the new Patrol, which gave it a more contemporary appearance. much like the existing models Based on speculation, the next-gen Infiniti QX80 and the new Patrol (or Armada in the US) will be mechanically and cosmetically identical. Looking more modern and boxier than the previous model, the new one is replacing it. Instead of the flush-fitting pop-out unit seen in the QX80, the patrol will have distinctive front wheel arches with vertical vents and traditional pull-type door handles, according to spy photos. No information about hybrid or plug-in hybrid options has been provided for the new Patrol; however, it does boast a more contemporary dashboard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for right-hand drive markets. Executives at Nissan have stated that developing an electric variant will have to wait until the new Y63 uses the next generation of solid state battery technology, which is anticipated to be ready in 2028. A 3.5-liter QX80 twin turbocharged gasoline V6 will power the Patrol from Nissan. Even though it's not quite as powerful as the Infiniti's 336 KW and 698 Newton M of torque, it's still an improvement over the previous 5.6-liter V8's 298 KW and 560 Newton M.
