That is why I hate it that "being a bimbo" is made being a trend and girls saying it is empowering. Like no, it maybe makes you feel confident (nothing wring with that), but it doesn´t give you any power. People wont listen to you or take you serious. Especially when you say for yourself "I feel dumber by the minute" while applying your make up. Getting dolled up and intentionally acting dumb wont get you anywhere and will keep the stereotype that fenimine women are just there to be pretty and not smart alive. Do what ever you want, but stop calling it empowering and a feminist thing to do!

Exactly, people love to stereotype that women who are so beautiful cannot be smart (but actually, I think people know she’s smart but don’t wear to admit, like you said out of jealousy, because it makes her so much more threatening to basically be so stunning but also be si well spoken and smart. That in addition to not giving a crap about her looks and instead focusing on topics that matter to her and sticking to her morals by always speaking up and never staying quiet even if it gets her in trouble). Don't worry, stereotypes are forced onto everyone, no matter who. We get make sense of the world using them and then hate ourselves when we don't fit in them. For example, my experience is that (I'm a woman) I'd say that almost every guy that came to me for my looks was taken back by my personality (because I like to speak out, i have my own opinions and like to discuss really complicated shit, meaning with all of this that I think a lot and feel myself as more intellectual than emotional). When I was a teen I developed an inferiority complex because I wondered what was wrong with me, if it wasn't the looks... then what was missing? Slowly I realized that if I stopped talking about the things I really wanted to talk about, and let the men direct the conversation, they seemed more into me. And yeah, then I understood that it was not I that 'failed' as a woman, it was society that failed me as a person. Because the ideal woman who is desired by societal standards is brainless and submissive. And that's exactly what happened with Megan. She never tried to hide her personality and her strength, but being that she's so impossibly beautiful (according to a classic western notion of beauty) we just chose to project all of our stereotypes in her and arrive to the conclussion that she is so thoughtless as she is pretty.
I'm very sorry I ever saw her through that lenses and sorry cause the comment is really long at this point haha. But yeah, it's about deconstructing ourselves, don't feel guilty.

It failed because a female wrote and directed it. It was a great film but it didn’t come from a male sad truth

Megan Fox herself didn’t deserve all the hate she got but the movie being called a masterpiece by some people feels a bit forced to me imo lol.

I felt bad for Jennifer since her fate was tragic and undeserved but I guess I felt that the execution of the idea they had in mind could have been carried out so much more effectively. There’s some obvious messages and symbolism they wanted to portray but they didn’t clearly outline it in a way that connected to audiences. Focusing on character progression instead of corny lines that weren’t actually funny at all could have made the movie more popular with audiences in my opinion.

When she is in conversation or being interviewed about Feminism/related topics, you can immediately tell that it's absolutely genuine and she went through some really horrible s#it. You can just see it in her eyes and her body language, how much this impacted her life. What's so cool is that, as a result of her experiences in the entertainment industry and in daily life, she chooses to learn, grow, and to ultimately be a stronger, wiser and better individual. She doesn't play the victim and show hate or be disrespectful. It's really good to see an example of someone who has been through these experiences, to come out on top, all while encouraging others to do the same and to not allow yourself to stay in that miserable trap of self hate and misery. She is also very well spoken and conducts herself well. I just really freaking appreciate and admire her!!
