Cheers buddy. All looking a mess at the moment after the first fmg treatment, no trickle in for a few day. Hopefully caught it nice and early so shouldn't cause me too many problems 🤞
I've been plagued with parasites this year. Hopefully this is the last time 🤞 I'm quite pleased with the feeder so far. Minimum portion size is about right for me but may be a bit much for some people. Definitely worth looking at if you thinking of getting a feeder. I paid £95 for mine
Hi Dan Great video thanks for the mention I am finding the feeder really good thrown my box out so couldn’t look at the difference. I am only feeding on setting 1 the only thing I have noticed so far is when you fill it if your not really careful quite a lot of food gets released Fish looking spot on mate 👍🏼👍🏼
I took a screenshot from your video and it's totally different on the box. Oh well. Likewise setting 1 seems about right for me. Impressed with it, really easy to set up. I also found out the hard way about topping it up 😂
Jiffster, thanks for your video on the feeder. I bought one after watching your video and it's been great. Just wish I could turn off individual feeds after they are programmed in.
@@Simonsimps no problem Simon glad it was useful Yea I know what you mean got to start from scratch if you try and amend anything Program 1 is plenty of food for mine 👍🏼👍🏼
I bought one last week after watching Jiffsters video. It's been doing great. Portion 1 is plenty for mine. I made the mistake of mounting it on the pond and putting the food in and mixing it, loads came out lol, now I mix them in a bucket 1st then put them in the feeder. I've not found a way to turn off just one of the feeds, if you edit the feed you can't change the amount back to 0 and if you press and hold the set button when setting up feeds it wipes them all. I've just finished treating for costia too, crazy. I only found it on the belly scrapes of 2 fish, sides were all clear. Weird. My orchiba is piling on the weight with your food and is always first under the feeder when it goes off lol. Cheers.
Yes I made that mistake at the start with the feeder too 😂 Seems alot of people have had costia this year. Hopefully get on top of it. Glad to hear your fish are doing well on the food. Mine are still loving it too. Hopefully still another month or so of growth food, weather permitting..
@@martynskoipondandgarden4581 thanks for following it all. It's been a busy year with the koi. Hopefully can sit back and enjoy this last bit of summer after this
Hopefully get the costia sorted, only found 1 so hopefully caught it early. I'm well impressed with the feeder so far. Not quite as fancy as the profi but works great for me. Portion size might be a bit big for some people with small ponds or grow ons though
Hopefully will do. I'll do atleast 2 doses of fmg, should sort it. Been a never ending battle this year. Just when I thought I was past it all. I'm convinced adding new fish brings it out. No new ones for me now that's for sure
I bought one of these and sent it straight back, the feeding portions are ludicrous, on setting 2 it gives you twice as much as setting 1, so your only option to increase is to double the amount if you want to keep the same number of feeds per day. The Xclear or Aquaforte version are much better, portions are set by seconds, up to 600 so controlling the quantity is far more refined.
I do agree, the portion sizes are a bit crap. But it works ok for me. Setting 1 is about right for my fish and I'll just increase the number of feeds if I want them to have more. Would be no good for people with a really small pond or wanting to feed a grow on
@@dannycurrie1 I have a large pond, 7,500 gallons but not being able to increase/decrease grams per feed without doubling is a non starter as far as I'm concerned, personally I don't want to give more/less feeds a day, the koi get used to feeding times, I simply want to change the amount per feed which it doesn't allow. I do 12 feeds a day, the koi are hanging around the feeder 10 minutes before it goes off, changing the amount of feeds a day to fit with the Superfish isn't something I'm prepared to do, little and often works best and that's not possible as far as I'm concerned.
Dan you happy with the increased size of the pond now! What was the old size compared to this ! Ponds really looking tidy now compared to rage mud bath you dealt with 😖😂
Yes I'm really happy with it now. It's as big as I could possibly go for my garden really. About 10000 litres now up from 5000l on the old one. I don't miss digging in all that mud one bit. Glad that's over 😂
Yeah I do. Need to invest in a proper camera one day I know. Getting married in less than a month so money is a little tight. No one mention how much the feeder was... 🤫
Don't bother mate. It won't stay on the correct time now. I sent it back and got a replacement and that's doing the same thing now. Just drops food at random times. Did my head in. Gone back to using my fishmate p7000 that's been faultless, bought a second one now
Fish are beautiful.
That feeds in a nice way and having a mix of floating and sinking gives all the fish a chance 👌👍
I do love feeding a mix of sinking and floating, definitely helps makes sure they all get some. Well worth including some sinking for them
@@dannycurrie1 I think I might follow suit next year cheers mate 👍
Great video Danny glad you found the cofstis🙏🐟🐟🐟🙏
Thanks. Hopefully get rid of them bugs quickly and get back to enjoying the pond :)
Excellent feeder. I do like the Superfish product. The Ochiba is gorgeous. Hope the Costia goes quick! Take care young man
Costia aside everything is looking sweet, water is sparkling and fish looking great 👍🏼
