Hire a new contractor, demolish and rebuild for better or worse. It might be a tax waste, but what's worse; that or having a repeat of the catastrophic bridge collapse in Minneapolis in 2006?
Well the old one is still standing so they must've payed them contractors good back then in the 1980s

What a mess. Stop the wasteful spending & fix the bridge before people get hurt. Litigation slows down any progress! Tax payers pay! either way
ive driven over that bridge in 1999 ,in my opinion tax payers money or not .decommission what has been built and rebuild it period.
