He ain’t wrong that Embiid and Kat got some modern big man skills and Embiid has improved as a passer but the difference is that Embiid uses his scoring to pass to open guys while Jokic manipulates defenders and passes well covered cutters open with pinpoint accuracy that no other big can replicate. I think Embiid could fit well into a similar role as Bam or Sabonis, who are the other top big man passers in the league except Joel would obviously score way more than those guys. Overall though, there’s very few PLAYERS let alone big men in the NBA that are as decisive, skilled, and as audacious as Jokic when it comes to facilitating. Even if the league shifts in this direction, I don’t think there will be another big man with a supercomputer brain like Joker for a long time. Honestly I need to watch the Sixers more so correct me if I’m wrong but Embiid would also need to improve as a screener and he needs be more active off ball so that he’s put into good spots to score before he’s inevitably double teamed. He’s got arguably the most dominate post game in the league (although Joker is right on his heels in my opinion) but he’d rather play on the perimeter and dribble into pull up mid range shots. Then in the playoffs teams double him on the perimeter and he doesn’t have Jokers passing skill and ability to read the floor and phillys offense stagnates

Want to know why Euro players are dominating? They grew up playing by FIBA rules, rules that mimic the 80s and 90s style of defense. Meaning, I’m order to excel, you have to have great fundamentals and actually have to be good in order to score. American NBA players struggle playing under FIBA rules. They’re use to 2000s NBA style where every thing offensive is catered to in order to boost scoring and give them more freedom to move around

02 Duncan was better than KG. 03 was a wash (Duncan won MVP because the Spurs had the best record). 04 05 KG was better. The problem with KG on the Wolves was that KG wasn't built to be their go-to guy down the stretch, and they didn't have great perimeter players. Duncan did well taking on the go-to guy role, though he later let Ginobili do more of it as the league went perimeter-heavy from 2005 onward. Jokic has showed that he can be the go-to guy as well, though he is equally happy to let Murry do it.

I love basketball been watching and playing my entire life 2 Acl tears can't stop won't stop and the Joker helped me see something I always believed which is those who are really great make it look easy. Certain players make basketball look incredibly difficult i.e. Kyrie but really it's an easy game pass to who's open move without the ball and Jokic is a 10/10 at making basketball look easy for his entire team. Teams spent years trying to copy the Warriors "template" but you can't - you don't have the two best shooters maybe in history on your team at the same time. Focus on the players you have and enhance what they do best and stop trying to copy what other teams do.

Joel looks like a surviving man by the time the first round ends. Always missing a game of his team is up or playing through injury. When you look at his scoring skillset, handles, athletic ability, defense, rebounding, and passing at his size. Those three are HANDS DOWN the top 3 players in the world. To round out the top five, you could choose between KD, Luka, Steph, and Bron still. With AD and Kawhi you gotta worry about their health too much for me to put them in the top 5.

Joker has to be the best passing big man ever. Has some of the best hands and softest touche around the rim ever. Great at decision making. Is certainly fundamentally sound. Clearly he's very strong. Want to know why Euro players are dominating? They grew up playing by FIBA rules, rules that mimic the 80s and 90s style of defense. Meaning, I’m order to excel, you have to have great fundamentals and actually have to be good in order to score. American NBA players struggle playing under FIBA rules. They’re use to 2000s NBA style where every thing offensive is catered to in order to boost scoring and give them more freedom to move around

02 Duncan was better than KG. 03 was a wash (Duncan won MVP because the Spurs had the best record). 04 05 KG was better. The problem with KG on the Wolves was that KG wasn't built to be their go-to guy down the stretch, and they didn't have great perimeter players. Duncan did well taking on the go-to guy role, though he later let Ginobili do more of it as the league went perimeter-heavy from 2005 onward. Jokic has showed that he can be the go-to guy as well, though he is equally happy to let Murry do it.
If KG was at a ball club that was remotely capable he likely would have been a top 10 player all time.

Certain players make basketball look incredibly difficult i.e. Kyrie but really it's an easy game pass to who's open move without the ball and Jokic is a 10/10 at making basketball look easy for his entire team. I appreciate watching these guys talk. That said, stop looking for "template" - what Joker does is fairly unique. Nobody else has his particular skill set. Teams spent years trying to copy the Warriors "template" but you can't - you don't have the two best shooters maybe in history on your team at the same time.
Focus on the players you have and enhance what they do best and stop trying to copy what other teams do.
T Mac put it well and I always say that. The only think that makes jokic a "better" is his endurance and the fact that at the end of the season in June he looks like he can play another series or 2. Joel looks like a surviving man by the time the first round ends. Always missing a game of his team is up or playing through injury. While I think Joker is the best player in the league, I think it's fluid at the top with Giannis and Embid in that mix too. Giannis is from the KG blueprint of being for all intents and purposes a POSITIONLESS 7 foot superstar. And Embid is ARGUABLY the most talented (not saying best) center ever. When you look at his scoring skillset, handles, athletic ability, defense, rebounding, and passing at his size. Those three are HANDS DOWN the top 3 players in the world. To round out the top five, you could choose between KD, Luka, Steph, and Bron still. With AD and Kawhi you gotta worry about their health too much for me to put them in the top 5.

It's not even close that he's the best player in the NBA. He's a two-time MVP (and realistically should have won his third last year). And absolutely dominated in the playoffs to win Denver its first championship. He has the stats of Russ Westbrook (triple doubles for days) but they actually result in wins.
