For those saying their names are "Sundrop and Moondrop" I’m pretty sure their names are just “Sun and Moon” as it says in the subtitles. Sundrop and Moondrop I’m pretty sure is the name of the candy, like “Coughdrop” for example.
According to the developers the Sun and Moon are both just called The Daycare Attendant. Maybe Sun and Moon are like a personality or something

The actual names of the Sunman and Moonman are Sun & Moon. The whole animatronic itself is called The Daycare Addendant. The only official name for The Puppet has been given to it in Ultimate Custom Night, where it is refferred to as The Marionette.

The actual (canonical) terms for "marionette" are marionette AND puppet. Both names are meant to describe the character. Also, the marionette is actually female because the soul of Charlotte Emily (Henry's daughter) posses the marionette.

The actual name of ‘The Puppet’ is actually The Marionette. People call it The Puppet because of The Phantom Puppet and Phone Guy calls it that Puppet thing.
It doesn't have a name. They just made the name, Marionette. You can hear the phone guy in FNAF 2 (I forgot which night) and he will explain about the puppet. Basically you can call it Puppet because it is meant to be a Puppet, but if you want to call her by her name that was made, Marionette could work.

No. Marionette is correct.
The Puppet is simply a fan name. The Marionette is the official canon name for him. You were never wrong.
However, in all fairness, The Marionette is a hard name to say so I don’t blame people for calling him that.
(Also before you blast me for calling The Marionette a ‘he’, just know that he is actually a male character, possessed by a female spirit.
So if you ever refer to this character as a she, just know you’re technically referring to Charlie. Not The Marionette)

Marionette is the official, canon name. Puppet is a fan name. (Most likely coming from Phone Guy’s FNaF 2 calls)
If you don’t believe me, look at UCN. It says his name is Marionette.
(To be clear, I have no problem at all if anyone calls him Puppet. It’s less of a mouthful, and even I still call him The Puppet. But I still acknowledge that Marionette is his actual name)
Secondly, although Charlie, the spirit possessing The Puppet/Marionette, is female, the character himself is a male.
UCN refers to him as he/him, meaning that The Puppet is a dude. Except for Charlie, who possesses him.
That’s just how it is, and it’s fine to have headcanons, but it’s also important to know what is and isn’t true in the game’s universe. Regardless of your headcanons.

2:40 I watched a video that said Gregory is actually the crying child because after the crying child died in 1983(the bite of 83) his mom a long time after this when everyone was separated she tried bringing the family back together by recreating them and she made Gregory because it reminded her of her son, but we still don’t know the real name of her son anyways the video said that she made him to be her youngest son and made Vanessa to be the daughter after a while Vanessa kept refreshing Gregory’s memory since he in now an animatronic that acts like a human so he can’t remember anything that happens but when playing the game we can remember things because Vanessa isn’t there to refresh our(Gregory’s) memory. I can find a video that explains this a lot better and send the link in the reply’s if you want me to.
With the Vanny and Vanessa theory, I support not having them being the same because in the rooftop ending when Freddy pushes Vanny off, Vanessa is looking down from the top of the roof, stating they are not the same.
