In 2017 I was homeless for about 3 years… every night the Bible bus kept me safe and warm in GOD’S WORD.
To me, J Vernon McGee was my human pops.
His Warmth in his words with a cup of sarcasm kept my Spirit filled up.
Blessings to the Doc & all of GOD’s people.
I was a long haul driver, every time I found TTB, I listened until either it ended for the day, or I got out of range of my radio. My wife and I want to gain as much understanding of God's word as out mere human brains can absorb. We are on the Bible bus as of this day.
I myself joined the Bible Bus when they started again on TWR a couple years ago. May I say, he is by far one of the best expositors in the world. May God raise up more faithful men like Dr. McGee

I remember listening to him in the morning before I went to school. My mother would be playing it on the radio. Later in my adult life I found it again and begin listening. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
Yes!! While driving us to school my mom had this playing in the station wagon! As a kid the thing I remembered most was the song at the beginning and end of the program.

I only found out about The Bible Bus about five years ago. I boarded the Bible Bus just when he was almost done with Revelation. Now I ready to start the Lord willing, five year study.
the best preachers/teachers of the Word are the ones who recognize and can convey it in it"s simplistic, un-adulterated form without overthinking it.
How wonderfully blessed we become when we first read the scriptures, and hop on the Bible Bus. The Journey of a lifetime getting to know our Savior and understanding the role of a Christian, discovering our own talent and gifts God has given us as individuals to share the Gospel. I could say much more but the Five year study of TTB with J. Vernon Magee is truly a lifetime of experiencing God.
Been listening to Dr. Mcgee for 2 years. I wish I could find a local church with a pastor like this guy!

I started listening to TTB around 1976 while I was about 20 years old. I have been listening on & off since then, Amazing how his recorded messages are still reaching millions via the radio, printed Word & today through the internet (solar radios too).

Back in the day (I am sixty years old), when I was in my early twenties, I would listen to this man on the radio. I had been a baptized Christian since I was 10 years old. I had been wrapped up in my own youth oriented self centered ways since about 15 years old. Yet despite my self-centered attitude, I could NEVER turn this man off!
Your so right about him staying away from politics, or even the rampant onslaught of the new-age philosophies of the times! BUT.... rather he gave to the Christian minded a SOLID framework of just what a Christian was, and in turn would give one a Christian conscious that in turn, would guide a Christian in how to deal with the politics, philosophies, and even false Christian doctrines so prevalent in the world then, and especially now.
In my opinion he was a true man of god! And I am so glad that his ministry lives on in his recorded studies of bible! In my opinion, his recordings are more helpful to a Christian today, than they were then!

Being on the Bible Bus with Dr. Magee has given me truthful insight into God's Word. I have been able to use his ministry as a tool to reach others for Christ and help them grow in Christ through TTB. I write down the men of God he's learned from or a reference to another Minister so I can search for them and enjoy hearing/reading those as well. Dr. Magee surely had am amazing testimony coming from a small town farm to the Man who surrender his life to Christ preaching to thousands across the globe. To honor Dr. Magee is to share the Gospel of Salvation!
i've always enjoyed dr mcgee's teaching. i started listening to him in 1986 and then he was gone. he passed away too quickly for me. but i know he had a long career and fruitful life before he went to be with the lord. i still read his work and am still convinced that he is one of the greatest bible teachers of our time. his teachings have helped me not just to understand the words of the bible but how to practically apply the bible's message to my life in many different ways and areas.
By far my favorite preacher / teacher. Got my dad to start listening to his sermons on CZcams before dad passed. He enjoyed them. I love to get on the Bible bus.
I've never heard a more learned teacher of God's Word. My dad listened to him for years until he passed and I'm listening now. I've heard him on the radio for years myself and have his 5 volume commentary of the Bible. Dad read it for years and every time I pick it up to read, I can actually hear the unique pronunciation of each word as he spoke. His voice resonates through the ages.
Love McGee! I was a baby Christian, and I tried to listen to him but couldn't at first because of his accent and would turn the radio to something else. But I kept coming back because his teaching was so profound, and he made it easy to understand. Now, fourty years later I just recently bought a full set of his Thru the Bible books for each of my four grandchildren. ❤ Thank you Dr. McGee.

He allowed and dedicated his life to be a vessel of the Lord. Proudly teaching and preaching the the Holy Scripture. His spiritual work lives on to this day. As we patiently wait on the Lord's Day.amen
I was living in Hawaii 45 years ago and discovered his program. Amazing information and incredibly interesting. I miss him but when it's my turn we will meet
Great teacher. I love his sense of humor. I hate when I miss a day. I have the CDs but I should have gotten the study guide also. He has made the study of Leviticus a piece of cake.

Dr. McGee is my mentor. People who are not very familiar with the Bible think that I have great knowledge about the Word of God, I have some knowledge and what I have I thank the Lord for putting Dr. McGee on my path for it is because of his teachings that I've learned to love the Word of God and my mentor gave me the thirst to know more and more of my Lord Jesus Christ. I hope that when I am in heaven I will be in Dr. McGee's class for I believe he will be there continuing his studies and passing it on to me and others. Learning to know our awesome God will be an eternal task and a delightful joy.

Dr. J. Vernon Mcgee is a man of simplicity and wisdom, who rightly dividing the word of God without compromise. He's one of the pillars of Conservative Christianity in his time, along with Pastors John Macarthur,David Hocking,John Hagee,Chucks Swindle,David Jeremiah,Charles Stanley and the late Perry F. Rockwood...God Bless on them.

I myself and 2022 in doing the 5-year bible plan. Dr McGee is teaching me so much and it's such a blessing to know that God has used him to reach so many people even though he's not around on this Earth he's touching so many with the word of God

McGee was and is still being used of God to lead thousands to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, through faith in the pure gospel of Jesus Christ, i.e. His death for your sins and bodily resurrection from the dead for your justification. He's the only Bible teacher, I have ever heard, who was able to bring out the Lord Jesus Christ on almost every page of Scripture. Although, when he attempts to change Scripture and/or say a certain verse is not in the "better manuscripts," I tune that out and remain steadfast with the AV text. A word of caution against David Jeremiah, since he is in this video. This man leavens God's Word by teaching psychology, i.e., doctrines of devils, and uses masonic gestures as he preaches. In his "purpose driven" church, above his pulpit, there is a stained glass window, facing the East, that has the image of the all-seeing-eye, along with an obelisk. It was unfortunate that Dr. McGee was taken in by this deceiver. I believe his high intellect blinded him, as well as thinking these types of men were rising up to continue in his footsteps. Paul's warning is just as important today, "For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. 31Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears. "

What a blessing his ministry is to me by far my best radio pastor. How if avialable can I find the theam praise worship songs? The ones they play on the radio all the time.

Why does this man even teach? He was a Calvinist, and his teachings are meaningless if God decides who goes to Heaven.
