I love it. After like 3 practices the media act like they have anything meaningful to report. They don't know anything more than we do about what's going on. Once we're a couple weeks into training camp and he has some pre-season reps in we can start to analyze his progress. Even then, this is likely to be a redshirt year and year 2 will be more telling of what his future might hold.

If Darnold is serviceable for a couple years or Hall gets a decent shot but they finish in the 6 or 7 win range that means they get better draft picks to shore up the defense and the running game. Plus, I think they're going to need a tight end because Hockenson just might be injury prone.
Best way to develop a young QB in the nfl is to get him snaps. Win or lose, bad stats after bad stats, it will make for a WAY better QB. Look at Peyton manning for instance

It’s a good situation for him. Brock Purdy started as the 3rd string QB. It takes a lot of pressure off him and will allow him time to develop. The 2 QB’s in front of him are good mentors so I think it’s a smart move by the organization.
