As for the Jordan part: will you also visit Jebel Moussa, from where it is said that Moses had a full view of the Promised Land before he died? On clear day you can see Jerusalem from there
I must confess, I have been there, in the disciples shoes. I went to Belize to be a missionary. I truly saw the hand of God in our lives. We went with only 300.dollars a month to supply my family of 4. We had a shelter to stay in. No electricity, but we had water, and an inside toilet. This was in the 80's. God always provided our Needs. We faced many dangers but never got really sick. We were there for almost 4 years. I grew so close to the Lord and it was worth it! Being a mother of 2 children wasn't easy, but trusting in the Lord was worth the petty sacrifice.
I love Thaddeus. So humble and trusting. So willing to follow the commands of Jesus.
Asking Matthew to handle the money is like asking a recovered alcoholic to take up drinking again. It is absolutely appropriate that Matthew (politely) refused.
18:38 Back in Season 2 Episode 4(?), Matthew is talking with Philip about his past as a tax collector and Philip tells him, "Once you've met Messiah, the only important thing is "I am" (not who I was).
And teaching them how to teach and heal. He mentors them while helping build their confidence. ❤
Wonderful information! I love how you study each scene and break it down for us. You have great insight! Thank you! God bless✝️☮️
You are so welcome!
Yeah. I just wish he didn’t talks on much while doing that. His verbal diarrhoea REALLY annoys me.
I love the breakdown. Why are you watching Ganojo? You can always watch the episode in the app.
@@ganojo1 This is HIS channel and a lot of us are learning a lot as we continue to grow in our relationship with Christ. You can always start your own youtube channel and do it your way.
Hello Brandon. Watching again because it showed up
Ahha. I did not miss even one of those 30 things. I am so tuned into The Chosen that I inhale every word. I ❤️ you guys.
Thanks for this. You brought out a few things I missed. When you played the part where they bicker with doubt, Thomas says, "Fear is not a thing you can just stop." Nathaniel replies, "I'm going with Z, then." "Maybe the most at risk than all of us." responds Z. I put the closed caption on and caught this statement. by Z. He remembers what Atticus had said: Simon Z would have to run for his life because the Zealots were hunting him down. Double danger for Z.
You have such a good point with the music!! Ohh, that’s gonna be so gut wrenching!!
I hope I’m right about that one!
I love the chosen because its just like the Bible coming alive. By far the best jesuse story I have ever seen and I have seen many.
St. Luke is listed with the uncircumsized. Some people Luke was living in the leper colony. He may have been the first gentile convert.
God Loves You Daily Reminder 🙏🏾✝️❤️
1. I used to live Israel, for seven years. The Galilee was my favorite place. Very peaceful. Jerusalem was very... compact. In more ways than one. Now, on the Via Dolorosa, there should still be a shop there of note, right before the turn into the Christian Quarter. It's a baklava shop, brightly lit, across from a darkly lit knick-knack shop (which has been "going out of business" for decades). Both are owned by the same family. Best baklava in the Old City. Hopefully it's still there.
2. What I noticed during the 2x2 scene was Jesus' moment of great sadness talking about persecution. It seemed to me that the actor was portraying His contemplation of their fates. Imagine being in a room with your closest friends, and knowing how of each of them will die. In the case of the disciples, every single one of them will die as martyrs, except for John.
We ALL have our struggles so listening to you break down the Disciple's & what they had to face, well my struggles are no more...sorta!
You were right, there were things in your deep dive that I missed in Episode 2... or did not fully understand. Thank you for your commitment to share God and His son Jesus that the community of believers might grow and and grow stronger.
What an awesome analysis. Thank you
I just found this, I like it. The snipe life
Thanks!
Great scene I loved this it was so emotional I can only imagine now how episode 3 will be epic and the real beginning of it all ! I ready to have my face melted off x
Today can the Bible be a second witness? I have been called to be a Street Pastor walking around handing out a letter from God and ask to pray for people. I have asked others to join me, but no one wants to join me.
Wishing you a happy and blessed Christmas Brandon and thanks for all you do x
Hello Maureen, merry Christmas 🎄
The writers of this show are just brilliantly used by God!! Km thoroughly enjoying how well they are putting the pieces of Judas' story together to get him to where we know he ends up. I'm thinking that he may take the money from the Jewish leaders to put back what he started stealing and because he doesn't believe that The Messiah will die, he justifies the bribe. It's too bad he didn't stick around long enough to tonlearn and see for himself that the death was only temporary. Thank God Jesus died for him, too.
Or that HE TOO would/ COULD BE WELCOMED & FORGIVEN. THAT SO BLOWS me away. If ONLY HE HAD not taken his life!! Isn't that just...like a bit more than one can 'spiritually/emotionally chew on? Or is it just me? Lol
The Bible says that after Judas throws the silver coins back at the Priests he repents of his sin and then hangs himself!
Excellent insight! Thank you
15:00 Musical theme for a certain character is called a Leitmotiv (in German), meaning "leading motif", usually in a musical or literary work suggesting a certain character or scene.
‘Two-by-two’… I’m imagining Thaddeus and Nathaniel singing.. “Hello, hello.. I’m Elder Thad.. Hello, hello, I’m Elder Bart!”
This is great insight! Can't wait for episode 3! Merry Christmas 🎄! 🥰
This is amazing, so much indepth research and insight. Thank you for these videos
You did a great job on this video!! I enjoyed the way you made the scripture references. Thanks for doing all the research!
Just love your breakdowns
Every time I open up my iPad I learn more about the events that may or may not have happened before Easter. I am a Christian and may I say thank you for breaking the series one by one. I read my Bible along with the Chosen. We are study Minor prophets in small group. Are you in small groups in your church. Have a great week. Glad to learn more. ❤😊
Good commentary and scripture references Brandon!
Hi there ! And thank you for this. I love seeing the discussion and His Work being done as we share with one another!
Jewish Law required 2 witness. Thereby making it a reliable testimony Deuteronomy 17:6
Thanks! Such a great breakdown
Thanks! Trying our best to keep up with the new episodes!
Love your comments about this great scene, which made me think about how I would have reacted if I has been there
I thought the last scene with the apostles praying looked like a crown...did anyone see that too?
i dont think that was intentional but if you can get some symbolism out of that than good for you :)
Great video!!
Thanks!
Wow...thank you. ..this was great
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks my friend
No problem!
I loved this video you explain things so good that I can understand. Thank you.
Just trying by my best, thanks!
Do not forget that Jesus sent 70 missionaries out as well as the 12. All would heal and preach, But the Apostles were being set aside for a deeper and detailed ministry.
Yep I spoke about it in this video 😁 these are two separate events.
Great video and info!! Thank you
Well done!
Thanks!
No worries! Thanks so much!
Thanks man🙌🏼 what a legendary show
Well done. Excellent research here. Thanks. I learned a lot.
I thought that was Nathaniel, not Thaddeus. Ugh. Back to rewatching the series.
Great job!
In Israel something not on most itineraries but a wonderful experience is
Nazareth Village you should check it out!!!
Perhaps the 2 witnesses also serve to testify against a town for rejecting His Salvation...
Well done and interesting!
Thanks!
I love how closely you pay attention to the theme music. I'm so wrapped up in the writing, that I miss the deep significance of the supporting music.
Thanks
Brilliant breakdown of scene thank you
You missed James and James comic relief humour defo lightens situations
No problem! thanks for the support!
I would have liked to hear what you take on the interaction between little James and Jesus.
I’m going to try to cover it, but there’s a ton to cover and only a week between episodes this time 😂
12:42 That’s actually Nathaniel not Thaddeus. I get those to mixed up all the time for awhile. They look similar and similar personality.
Also, thanks for the breakdown, definitely give me context on what’s happening sometime. Or just more clarification. Thanks so much.
No Thaddeus speaks at the end of the clip. He says “what ever happened to trust”
@@TheSnipeLifeOh opps, I thought you were talking about Nathaniel! My bad 😅
No worries lol
Nathanael and Thaddeus do look alike, but they have COMPLETELY different personalities, which is why it would be very, very interesting to see them paired up.
@@jealousharibo Actually I can tell the difference between them surprisingly. I just got confused because the clip show Nathaniel first and Thaddeus last and I got confused on who he was talking about. I had a really bad blonde moment for a second 😅
Remember, the great mystery with Judas, as confirmed in John 6:70 above all other text, proclaims the mystery of Judas as being a devil, period. All other texts concerning Judas is subordinate to John 6:70, demonstrating there are devils in our midst just as Scripture says we entertain angels unaware.
I enjoyed this. But It is Nathanial, sitting beside Thomas, who said he wanted to go with Zee. Thaddeus is sitting beside Little James. EDITED, see below.
I’m talking about at the end of the clip. Thaddeus says “what ever happened to trust”
@@TheSnipeLife Ah, I hadn't even caught that was Thaddeus speaking. A short line and I had noticed that there weren't too many great shots of him, maybe because he is so quiet.
No worries 😂 I could’ve edited it in a better way probably
Love to go, but ya lost me in the fine print. For personal reasons. May God bless you all and I truly hope you have a wonderful healing time.
@16:00 pause - where the 2x2s went to on a map.
Why does Jesus specifically reference the Gentiles?? Will this eventually pertain to bringing Saul of Tarsus into the fold?
Remember the Jews are God's Chosen people. As we hear in the scripture several times God goes to the Jews first, then we as Gentiles are grafted into that. So Jesus is doing that here, He's going specifically to the lost sheep of Israel. Then after they do that and give the Jews a chance to see the messiah they go the Gentiles and yes Saul/Paul is a MAJOR part of that later on for sure!
@@TheSnipeLife I see your point. I went back and read Matthew 10. There is much more to this chapter than the selection of 2 x 2. I guess TV has its limits, but I think a bit more could've been said about the Lord's very specific instructions for his disciples. Thank you Brandon! Merry Christmas. 💖✝️
Yeah chapter 10 is soooo much more than the other gospels. Lots of cool stuff there
Hold on the problem I saw with that scene is Jesus tells the 12 they will be able to heal and cast out demons. The scriptures are pretty clear those gifts manifested after Jesus left the planet. The book of acts show they could do those things. The main reason Jesus did those things was to show Israel he was and is the messiah. If the 12 could do those things that early kind of defeats his purpose. My general rule is if the Bible says one thing and my pastor says another, my pastor is wrong. Scripture should always be the final authority, not man’s opinions. If I’m wrong about this then please forgive me, if I’m right The Chosen team maybe heading down the wrong road. I hope not. One thing the Bible shows is that even people that are close to God somewhere along the line fall into sin.
Read Matthew 10 again, Jesus gave them authority at that time of sending them out.
Look at Luke 9:52 and 10:1 It says he sent them out before him to the places where he would go. They prepared the way for his ministry.
You're forgiven
Amos 5:18-24
The Day of the Yahweh
18 Woe to you who long
for the day of the Yahweh!
Why do you long for the day of the Yahweh?
That day will be darkness, not light.
19 It will be as though a man fled from a lion
only to meet a bear,
as though he entered his house
and rested his hand on the wall only to have a snake bite him.
20 Will not the day of the Yahweh be darkness, not light-
pitch-dark, without a ray of brightness?
21 “I hate, I despise your religious festivals;
your assemblies are a stench to me.
22 Even though you bring me burnt offerings and grain offerings,
I will not accept them.
Though you bring choice fellowship offerings,
I will have no regard for them.
23 Away with the noise of your songs!
I will not listen to the music of your harps.
24 But let justice roll on like a river,
righteousness like a never-failing stream!
5:50 todaya re many missoneri everywhere in thsi world and they take money and gold and bussnis and they buying hosue and resale it later 10 20 yeras later and making a nice proffit. very nice you'll christian who claim to preach God's words
Sending out people in pair was for one witness and the other actually works. Not all apostles walked on water, brought the dead back to life or cast out demons. Judas didn't cast out demons. John didn't bring anyone back to life like Peter did.
I watch and re-watch the three seasons now out. But I’m very disturbed by the pride flag shown while the crew was filming the fourth season. The crew member being LGBTQIA’s is one thing but the flag being flown on set is another. The Bible teaches against homosexuality and Jesus said not one jot or tittle shall pass from the law.
This is blasphemy read your Bible people 💔
Bad that the show uses too much imagination and script liberty but doesn't portrays the apocrypha. The apocrypha is way better than all these non biblical scenes.
This was my favorite episode so far, too. It wrecked me in the best way 😌
