  • Developing wonderkids is a tough task in FM. Finding and executing the right loan can make all the difference between actually developing that wonderkid and having another story about how Football Manager let you down. That is what this loan video is for. Having good finances and making money in FM is difficult too. That is what this loan video is for. Getting rid of players on big contracts and finding a cheeky way to get those tough transfers through on Football Manager is tough. That’s what this loan video is for.
    Loans on FM can serve a wide variety of roles for your team, so learning all the different pieces of loan dealings can prepare you to talk full advantage in transfer negotiations. Then having an understanding of the tactics behind loan dealings can put your young players in a position to succeed while out abroad to gain experience on FM. This guide is to lay out these loan tools on Football Manager in a way you can apply that knowledge in your saves, effectively. A tutorial in development too. Loans are just good to know, so let’s make a classic Zealand video about it.

    This is the video I needed. I am always unsure when to loan out my youngsters. Some actually force a 'promise' when you try to sign them at 16 to ''will send on a loan to develop'' but I find that, them staying at the U19s and actually training in my better facilities are BETTER than them going to a lower league team to play terrible, with 6.5 average rating.

  • @javorgeorgiev6130
    @javorgeorgiev6130 Před 2 lety

    Loans saved me in my save. I really needed my youth to develop somewhere and also took over a club in debt so I needed their full salaries paid. Portugal for me in 2021 is like an alchemical machine for development. They take my trashy second tier Bulgarian football club youngsters on full salary, give them more playing time than we agree on and have good to great training facilities. I developed a full team there. It's a gift that keeps giving and asks for almost nothing out of me. In the meantime higher league free loans kept me afloat and surviving relegation. 50% of my team was loaned players. The rest old veterans in the last year of their retirement.
    The video helped a lot. I got one of my most satisfying storylines out of the loan experience. My veteran supporting target man won player of the league and retired with a bang. We finished 6th out of 15 with no debt left. He left a hero and I felt like the Special One.

    A loan system would be very cool in the NFL. You are able to have 5 practice squad players/players in general who you don't think will get playing time. Loan them out and their cap implications go to the other team or not but they get to play while under contract for you. Plus a predetermined fee like a 3 re rounder would be a buyout

    If the original loan offer was "rotation" I don't even bother negotiating for more playing time...because the AI lies, all the time. They promise 1st team football & don't play him. Also, since most FM players stockpile hot prospects I often find I have too many 19-21 yr old players ready for 1st team football at my club but who's transfer value hasn't been optimized because I can't give them 1st team football. So, I go all Chelsea & loan them out to top leagues all over the world to build their transfer value & sell them the following yr. or 2.

    The thing about loans is you can abuse them. If you initially loan a player that has far greater ability than the rest of your players you can keep loaning them for the remaining of their parent club contract. I loaned alpha dionkou for 5 seasons from city to the prem with chester he overperformed like hell. Loaned him because city became our affiliate. Signed him when his contract ended and sold him to scion for 16.5 mil.
    And as for loaning out players i follow the Chelsea strategy. I make a profit on my wage bill

  • @dantespina7398
    @dantespina7398 Před 3 lety +6

    The thing with loans, is so far I haven't had a player that I have loaned out that has made it in my first team, it's almost a curse meaning they will be sold in less than 2 years. Sometimes that is beneficial, as I can sell benchwarmers for 20 mil, due to high reputation. That's probably on me signing players who I think will be good and never do, or just poor development.

    • @gandalfthegrey7135
      @gandalfthegrey7135 Před 3 lety +2

      I'm 5 years in my recent save (Hertha BSC) and I used loans to either make players that I don't need anymore quiet (not in my team, not my problem) or to give wonderkids a whole lotta playtime on a position they wouldn't start in my team.
      So I brought this Argentinian LW for 6 mio at age 18 (he couldn't get the club grown badge). Loaned him to Augsburg (Bundesliga), after that I loand him in the Serie A (Parma). He developed quite a bit, but my XI Wingers + bench where still far too good.
      So I loaned him to a direct rival (which has still a slight notch over us) to RB Leipzig. There he decided to shoot them to the Bundesliga Title and good runs in both CL and DFB Pokal. He was their key player and had more goals+assists than games

    If you're playing a lower German league, loan loan loan almost everyone in your squad. Especially because if the top flight squad sizes and quality of youth you can get really easy loans. Renew them in February, rarely will a team say we're going to give them a chance in the 1st team.
    I'm in my 4th season with dynamo dresden and I'm in the europa league. Kept stefaniak the whole time, got Balogun. 2nd season in 2nd bundesliga got John Jules, Nathan Ferguson, Amir Dedic, Ilaxia (?) Moriba and Vasquez from valencia, amongst others. Still have them all in the 4th season. It seems stupid and that I'm not growing my squad, but I've been paying 4m for bayerns best youth regents, a few ajax cheapers, and all europa money on Lazaro. I'm only spending my money on players that will take my team to the next level in the europa league. Through free transfers and making a quick profit on everyone but the young regens we've boosted past everyone in the bundesliga, and all our loanees have 1 year left on their parent club contracts if I wanted to sign a couple of them.
    If there's no registration rules against it, loan your balls off, buy young, sign free transfers for squad players and sell them to anyone.

    I am late but my tip if you are managing a middle/big team is: get an affiliate that plays in a challenging league.
    Ex. Psg has Sp.Lisboa as affiliate.
    Or Sp.Lisboa has Numancia as affiliate.
    I always try to fill their first team with my best wonderkid (the ones that need development or that cannot play in my team).
    When the affiliate s performance is good you have chances to get your players in Europa League or even Champions League.
    They get better and their values skyrocket like crazy.
    Works also in lower leagues
    What I mean is that 8/11 players of my affiliate club are mine.
    1 goalkeeper 2 defenders 3 midfielders and 2 strickers.
    Works also with non affiliate club, u just have to target a specific team when u offers on Loan.
    One year I faced a team in Europa League semifinals that was filled with 7 of my players.
    I was so proud.
    Target a team, Loans for 2 years and ask for a first team role (not less).
    Trust this advice guys.❤

The thing is, the third league doesn't exist in the FM database, the teams have no matches scheduled at all (bar friendlies). Will the game still simulate the fact that he "played" in the league matches even though they never technically existed and there were no results or should I have just have kept them at the club? I've never found anything about it on the forums.🤔

    • @damiandrzda5477
      @damiandrzda5477 Před 3 lety +1

      Don't loan out in this scenerio. They might develop a little or nothing at all. Their performances won't impact development (another tip - that's why you don't ever loan players to clubs that are in a league too good for them. Even if they play all games, but the team results are appaling, they might actually regress). It's better to keep them with your squad if the only option you have is to send them to "non existant" club. That's the reason why I find it crucial to load up many leagues, a big data base etc. 1) More good players will be generated and developed 2) More options for transfers and loans. So loan players to 1) players in leagues that a playable or view only 2) they will be a first team 100% 3) they are good enough to play in the league (bad performances affect development) 4) have acceptable training facilities.

    What's the difference between mandatory future fee and optional future fee.

    • @Roscododger
      @Roscododger Před 3 lety

      One is a mandatory transfer and one is an optional transfer.
      So you have are required to buy the player if its mandatory, and you have a choice if its optional.

    I always thought "Loan cannot be terminated" meant that the club loaning the player in could not cancel the loan?

    • @winsingtoniii681
      @winsingtoniii681 Před 3 lety

      That is correct. The parent club "recalls" to end the loan, the loaning club "terminates" to end the loan.

    You got termination confused with recall. Termination means THEY can end the loan, recall means YOU can end the loan. No termination, but can be recalled. That's the pro-gamer move. Sorry, I'm an absolute transfer/loan specialist. My tactics are awful though, I'm basically Ed Woodward

    Disappointing video to be honest. Everyone knows players are better off playing first team games. What everyone struggles with is knowing when it’s more beneficial to reject a loan offer and keep a player on the reserve team.

    • @ZealandonYT
      @ZealandonYT  Před 3 lety +1

      Made this one a while ago so I honestly can't remember what I said, but pay attention to the player's personality, adaptability, and improvement throughout the year. If they aren't improving, then it's worth looking into a loan, but if their adaptability is bad, it could be a worse tradeoff then just spending a cup match or two playing them in your team. If they have a good personality for development like high professionalism, then a loan is less necessary, unless you see them really not kicking on in the reserves
