I'm 70 YO and recovering from cancer. I decided to give up cars and bought a RR 6 Plus Step Through late September 2023 and had it assembled for me here in Missoula MT at Missoula Bicycle Works. It's been great even in the snow. Yes I lose a little battery time in cold temps but nothing significant. I did add the large basket and liner in a custom config based on Pop Rivet's channel. and it's perfect for groceries. I am always getting compliments and people stopping to ask questions, especially other seniors who are considering an ebike. Missoula is a very bike friendly town with loads of shared paths and shared streets. It's very flat here in the Missoula Valley so I've never had it past PAS 3 as you show in your video. I recommend a RR 6 Plus Step Through for anyone over 60. Great video Lance and yes I subscribed.

Rad has a bike for everyone. Great lineup of product, very easily upgraded and a they sure turn heads. They are also doing a nice job setting up dealers in my area. Happy to see more Rads on the road 🚴
It's great having a dealer close by. Yiu can go in and test ride any model you want, plus they usually have items in stock that are backorder online. My Rad has done great, and I have no complaints.
But their customer service is atrocious if you bought it online. And the rad rover has problems with its controller. And it will take you several months of arguing to get your replacement parts covered under the warranty. I will NEVER buy a rad again - atrocious.
I had the same breakage on the left screen bracket. All I asked for was the little bottom clamp but they sent me a whole new screen as well.
Overall, I'm so happy with the bike. Wish I had more time to ride.
I am glad to see the have changed that screen for the new RadSters. Still love the RadRover 6 Plus though. Enjoy your ride.

We have an older rad runner couple years now issue. Bought this model could not be more happy. On thing i dont like with rad are the seats, easy fix though
Yeap, that was one of the first things I did. Put a suspension seat post on and a Cloud 9 seat. Couldn't be more happy.

Lance, I really appreciate your videos. I am seriously considering the Radrover 6 plus and your 1 year review is very helpful. I have the opportunity to purchase a used 6 plus. The seller purchased in Sept 2022 and claims on 20 miles. Humm...It is in great shape and has very little wear and tear. I do have a couple of concerns: 1) the bike is out of warranty, can i really on the bike to operate without any major issues; 2) If the bike has such low mileage should i be concerned about how the battery was maintained. If it sat unused and uncharged for long periods of time does that negatively effect the battery; 3) It sounds like they never updated the controller while in warranty. Should i be concerned and is this update critical.
I would certainly appreciate your expertise. The sellers are wanting only $1200 for the step-thru!!

I would ask if they prtiodically charged the battery. I would have a concern if they said no and it sat all this time dead. If it really only has 20 miles on it, it has not even been broken in yet. Have you gotten a chance to test ride it? If you can test ride it, run it through all the gears and see if it shifts smoothly. Also try all PAS levels. The RadRover 6 Plus has real smooth power delivery in all PAS levels, nothing jerky. I dont know what controller upgrade you are talking about. The one I replaced was not an upgrade, just a replacement part because of a broken plastic clamp. I have had no problems since replacing it. If the battery has been maintained well, then 1200 is a good price with only 20 original miles on it.
Not sure if you bought it but the rad has controller problems and it will cause an error and the bike won’t work. I think the replacement controller is around 200 including the wiring harness. Me, personally, I would never buy another Rad again because of how hard it was to get them to honor their warranty and ship me the parts. I had to threaten to reverse charges to my credit card. If you’re getting a super good deal ok but … be weary
Only had one issue with it. The plastic clamp broke on the control pad. I submited a warrenty request and they had a new one in then mail in less then 24 hours. So my experience with Rad has been good. No other problems with the bike.@@MyLifeInDebt
How do you protect him from not getting it stolen like a regular bike on a bike track or whatever you call it?
I do have a wheel lock that locks the rear wheel to the frame, and another lock I can bring that locks it to a post. But I always stay close to it and not really get out of sight of it.
