One of the most popular tours to do in Jasper Alberta, Canada is the Jasper SkyTram. We want to take you on a quick tour of the Jasper SkyTram, what we thought of it and if its something we would recommend you do on your trip to Alberta.

Very informative and useful posting, thank you
We’ve been on this tram several times and it is fun. The last time we hiked up the mountain and wanted to take the tramway back down; only to realize we hadn’t brought any money 😂 They let us ride back down and my wife had to stay behind while I fetched my wallet in the staging parking lot 2km away. We had a beer and some food in the restaurant at the top and only realized we had no money when we went to pay 🤦🏼 I highly recommend hiking up, it’s a great trail even though the view is blocked 80% of the time. Well worth the effort.
That’s an amazing story and thank you so much for sharing! It’s definitely an amazing experience we really enjoyed it but I think we liked that story even more T410ce!
We are going to Jasper in June, this is really helpful. Thank you so much ✌

@@TravelingFlamingo my son is working at hi jasper hostel till October. He took the ride last Thursday it costs $60 now.
thank you so much. definitely worth the ride in the tram. it is majestically beautiful. ride the skytram coz if you are already in this place, do it. worth it. we rode the one in Banff Gondola and it was about 70 canadian dollars, and there's 7 of us. still worth it coz it was a dream that came into reality for the whole family to explore the crown jewel of canada - The Canadian Rockies. i left my heart in BANFF/JASPER - the Canadian Rockies. next visit - to include YOHO Natl park.
Its definitely such a beautiful place. We enjoyed the Gondola as well, the one in Jasper was very quant, but the one in Whistler and Banff were really nice.
Its definitely worth it to ride at least one of them! Thanks for watching.
I took the first flight on a friday in August for an early bird discount. The only downside is that the restaurant doesn't open until a few hours later. The big upside to this Skytram is that they allow dogs for a very affordable price. The hike to the summit after landing was moderately difficult and the worst part were the bugs that follow you both ways.
Oh yes good point about the bugs. Depending on the time of year they can be pretty bad. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Hey great video.. I'm planning on going mid September... I don't think they will be cramming us into the SkyTram with COVID still around.. We have to book on line.. as of now they are sold out for next 3 days..good thing I know to book ahead of time. Plan, book, enjoy.
Take care

@@philA771 How full was the SkyTram?
@@CanadianGoldProspector wasnt really full there was 4 of us family so thats all that gets to go in if its only 2 people they will still let u go up
We went there last summer, and there were no snow like in this video, we took skytram, but we didn't go to any restaurant because by the time we were coming back from the mountain, everything was closed
Thats too bad it was all closed down! Hope you enjoyed what you were able to visit. 🦩
Hi, when did you go? This June? Will there be snow in August?
Sumaameen no, this was certainly filmed before June, more May. August is a great time to go and hike to the top. See breath taking views and have a bit of a workout.
Personally I visit it yearly and love to go up and enjoy the views and workout, hike up at high level. If you’re lucky, it is quiet and the tram is NOT busy. But indeed, lots of times it is busy and you are a bit cramped in the ride up. Lots of time the ride down is quiet... but again, hit and miss.
Think it is one of those things.. even if you hike around Jasper, or in the areas surrounding it... the views are just worth it...
What camera do you use?
For this video its a combination of a DJI Osmo Pocket which is a stabilized camera, the camera itself is similar to a mobile phone camera but it has some additional features like motion time-lapse and such. We also use a Nikon Z6 for slightly more "cinematic" shots and for stills but mostly the Osmo Pocket covers off everything we need. www.dji.com/ca/osmo-pocket
Is it wheel chair accessible?
Mostly it is, I'll copy from there website www.jasperskytram.com/plan-your-visit/faq/
IS JASPER SKYTRAM WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?
For the most part, Jasper SkyTram is wheelchair accessible.
Exceptions are:
The second floor of the upper station (where the Summit Cafe is housed) is not wheelchair accessible. There are approximately 20 stairs to the second floor.
The 1.4 km Whistlers Summit Trail from the upper station to the summit is not wheelchair accessible.
is it 50$ one way or both way
That would be $50 (actually I think its now $52) for both ways.
