I like how you actually gave the characters themes. Spongebob uses water attributed monsters and mickey uses tokens and beast types.

You see, the duel disk only create HOLOGRAMS.
That attack was just a hologram created by the duel disk.

Thats because like most people like you and me, it does not matter whether they know it is a hologram, they would flinch when they see a attack coming. Wouldn't you flinch if you saw a fireball flying at you? Even if you knew it was a hologram?

I'm fairly certain that imperial order's effect is not optional, meaning SpongeBob can't just choose not to pay lifepoints.
This is a duel between Spongebob and Micky mouse and You have a problem with that ? İmperial order first version was optional But they made an Errata and changed the effect to non optional so This person just used the first version
