Excellent observation and comment about this song which is supposed to be sung by an opera singer. There's really nothing operatic about the song in any way from a musical and technical standpoint. It's more of a pop ballad. Regardless, I really love the song.
I just want folks who don't know the difference between opera or classical singing to know that this isn't operatic or classical. It broadens your mind when you can can discern the difference. Often, folks seem not to know the difference when it's pretty obvious.

If you haven't seen Dimash Kudaibergen I would be surprised as he is considered the best singer in the world and I think ever in the world. But if you haven't that is another rabbit hole you could go down along with Morissette. Actually Dimash, Morissette and Pentatonix are the holy trinity amongst reactors as their individual fanbases are probably the biggest on youtube. Recommend Dimash's The Singer 2017 songs as a starter because it is when he first came to prominence starting with SOS.

I’m curious why you say the song was meant to be sung by an opera singer. Just dunno where you’d have gotten that info from. That song was written for the movie, by David Foster, who knew he wanted a Loren to record it.
The character, Jenny Lind, was a Swedish opera singer. So if in the movie she is singing, it should be at least light opera. Still a great song though.
How can you help me to sing this song I am 60years old now but I want to learn it and sing it as close to Loren I mean the way she sings it but in my range I just sing at home but I feel this song is for me to try so I can record it I want to try to try out for a the voice your probably laughing but it's all I ever wanted but put it all on hold for all this time can you help me to become a great signer
Morissette Amon does a cover of this song on the Wish bus which may just edge out Loren. She does have an extensive back catalogue and has such a voice that places her amongst the very best of any era.
You are delusional. In no way could or would she or anyone sing this song better than Loren. If you think that wishbus performance could even hold a candle anywhere NEAR this, you need to step way tf back and realize that you can be a stan without desperately convincing yourself that she is superior to anyone else. She’s not.

Stop being delusional. Morissette can never and will never be the standard to this song. Loren is superior in every way when it comes to this song

@Yusuf - I will agree with you that Morrisette does an excellent cover of this song. But think of it this way, too - if it hadn't been for Loren recording this for "The Greatest Showman" originally, none of these covers, be it Mori's, Nicole's, or any others found here on YT, would have had a mentor to emulate.
